Hey guys I was wondering if you could give me any insight as to what transits would point to relocating to another state or making a major move?

Pluto retrogrades transiting the fourth house perhaps. Or possibly Uranus in the fourth.

Anything that looks like a major life change or new responsibility could necessitate a move.
The Moon or IC being impacted as well. Sometimes 2nd since it relates to possessions, sometimes 9th as it relates to long distance travel. Depends on the chart.

Last time I moved to a different state I had sa.Mars conj n.Jupiter in the 4th.
The IC had also solar arc'd to conj n.Jupiter.
p.Moon was also going through the 4th, conj the above in same yr.
all this was trine t.Jupiter.

Last time I moved house (not state) t.Jup was opp n.IC
Another time t.Uranus was trine n.Jup in the 4th - I had to move quickly, this was an awkward time because I had a lot of options and had to make a choice.
another time t.NN had been going through the 4th & was conj n.IC (moves backwards in the chart)
there were others but I don't remember the dates offhand.
Come to think of it I also moved when t.Jup was conj n.IC, that was before my Jup return, I didn't move on the Jup return but someone new moved in with me then.
there was a death of someone in the home when t.Saturn was in the 8th trine n.Jup in the 4th.
another time t.jup was trine n.jup someone moved in with me.

Right now both my boyfriend and myself have uranus transiting our 4th (we both have Sag rising in early degrees). Very interesting about having someone pass in the home when Saturn was in the 8th - I had that happen with my dad.

As far as moving, my guy has been offered a promotion and raise but he'd have to relocate from the east coast to the west. I don't know if I can go with him. We've lived together for 4 years.

Sag rising early degree would have t.NN over it at the moment. And t.Jup your asc ruler is conj n.DSC, possibly signifying opportunity for the partner/the relationship, also identifying with the partner. Jupiter is associated with long distance travel, like the 9th.
Just to mention, NN conj ASC typically signals change in life direction (NN brings change you can't control, there's no one to blame it's just the direction life has been heading up to this point, to bring you closer to where you're meant to be - this is also why it's such an important contact in synastry), but the whole chart has to be considered for addtl influences.
Jupiter through the 7th typically indicates widened social circle in some capacity. Some say marriage, but that's too general, what jupiter really does is bring more people into your life, or select influential people, depending on other influences, you're focused on the connection you're making with another. I had Jup through the 7th when I went back to college, and widened my circle that way.
Combined could indicate traveling for the partner. Doesn't have to, it's just one interp.
Uranus in the 4th could translate to a move, to home life being broken up. The basic thing is that the feeling of stability is gone somehow and you're on more shaky ground. Interpret along with whatever else is going on. Could also signal break up of relationship. Could also signal stability of the home life being threatened somehow. In some cases it coincides with death, which is also a move, like Andy Griffiths who just died, his sa.IC was conj t.Uranus, he also had n.Pluto opp IC, Mars/Uranus DW, t.pluto conj sa.asc, etc. so the whole thing has to be read together.

Thank you! It's all very enlightening but a little confusing (still learning astrology ). Does this mean that he'll leave and I wont Or will I relocate, too - seeing as our transits are similar?

Can you say degree of ASC? Nodes move backward, so it's been going through both of your 1st houses, then it'll conj asc, then move into 12th.
Also very interesting you both have conj asc, and this opportunity is coming up.
t.Neptune in Pisces would also be squaring both asc/dsc - relationship axis, bringing in uncertainty of where it's heading, could also point to relationship being dissolved, difficulty in getting the right words across to each other, could also point to partner being involved in alcohol/drugs. There's really a wide range here. But basically there's a fog. The answer won't magically appear. And Neptune can indicate deception too. This can emphasize the influence of being on shaky ground which Uranus 4th already indicates. And Neptune will be early Pisces for at least another yr.
If you do make the change, just make sure everything is squared away, that all the dealings are above board, that no one is misunderstanding anyone else relating to this move. Be clear about what you want from the relationship, have that talk with your partner, the changes that the move would entail in your life, and consider everything carefully. No lies. Not even about what you're feeling, don't say anything to pacify the partner because it will later come back to you and create problems. Approach assertively and talk it through, keep communication open n honest.

Well nodes are said to need relatively tight orb. They move erratically, not always straight backward, but so far this time around neither of your ASC have received direct conj, yet.
enters 2 Sadge on 8/1
enters 1 Sadge on 8/7
enters 0 Sadge on 8/19
enters 29 Scorp on 8/30, stays in Scorp
So it's a quick pass since over these degrees there is no back and forth.
right now it's at 4
Jupiter is at 4 gem
neptune is at 2 pisces, squaring your axis v.closely - hence the confusion emphasis on where it's heading
Mercury gets to 2 Virgo on 9/2, by that time t.jup will have moved in solidly in the 7th at 14, but it will be opp Neptune, so it'll be squaring your asc/dsc as well then. Watch for communication at that time too, making sure there are honest dealings with others.
t.Mars was in 3 Virgo early April, opp t.Neptune, likely challenging the relationship as well.
You have to read the influences, backdating, seeing what happened in the past and looking at how they were responded to, to project into the future, following a logical train of thought.
