Based on sun, moon, and rising signs alone, the synastry between you looks powerful. But if you are not available, of course this is something to be careful with.

I often repeat what Linda Goodman said about dealing with Scorpio rising men: they can exert such power over you, they will make you wonder if they are hypnotizing you in your sleep.

Face value: he is probably a beautiful person
Warning: You could fall in love with him and what will that lead to?

Can you post your charts? Synastry bi-wheel and/or composite?

Your hesitation around him may come from his Venus-Mars squaring your sun, but also you might just recognize his latent ability to seduce you. (?)

Which can make friendship a bit unstable.

Not to totally distract from the thread but can you (or anyone) tell me why I can read and know Scorpios like a book? Would Pluto in Scorpio as a singleton in my 5th house really work THAT well?

I find Pisces influenced people can lull me into that way better than Scorpios can.

The composite isn't as telling as the synastry, imo, at this point of your "relationship".

However Sun/Venus square Pluto is what jumped out at me.

Are the birth times right? If so, Neptune on the ASC could do it. The whole connection seems confusing, foggy and you don't know whether to trust this person or not. It's pretty tricky. Usually Neptune on any angle is a bit dangerous because of the nebulous/deceptive effect it creates. The two people simply do not see each other clearly.

It'd be better if you posted the synastry, I think!

Ps. Nice to see another Scorp Sun / Virgo Moon around here Welcome.

Good points, Doux.

Redshift,

That Sun-Venus-Mercury stellium in composite will give you those nice vibes, but with all of that even widely square Saturn/Jupiter...my amateur guess is, that's not so good for the long-term.

Must be tantalizing, though...especially with so much going on in the first house.

Uranus in the 12th means you are "crazy" about each other in secret, maybe.

Ha ha, look at my virgo moon trying to classify and organize my scorp emotions!

I actually love that and try to do the same thing...I'm a Cap sun/Pisces moon.

He puts Uranus, Neptune, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and his NN in your 1st house.. ahem. No wonder you're so attracted. Don't be fooled, there's no way this can be platonic, unless you have huge self-control!

The main thing here I think is his Neptune. It conjuncts your ASC and Venus. Of course there's also Uranus there, but the main idea is that there's some uncertainty/unclarity to the whole thing. You as the Venus person may at the same time idealize him and mistrust him, both are possibilities with strong Neptune contacts. It's perfectly um.. "normal" given the aspects.

You have a nice Moon/Mercury conjunction, which means you have no trouble talking to each other and understand each other pretty well. However it is often found in friendships moreso than in romantic relationships (which in your case would be a good thing, I guess).

Your Pluto trines his Venus/Mars which shows sexual/romantic attraction, certainly on both sides but the Pluto person can be more "obsessed" or preoccupied with the connection.

The trine between the Suns is a good indication of basic compatibility.. Surely you understand each other pretty well.

You may admire him in some way (his Moon on your MC) and may as well feel like you want to possess him in some way.. (his Sun/Mercury in your 2nd).

His Saturn square your Mars probably signifies the obstacles to your connection (you're married) so that there's no sexual contact here.

His Chiron falls on your DSC which can awake your relationship wounds or insecurities related to close partnerships.

You have some good Jupiter contacts, yours conjuncts his Venus/Mars which can point to attraction and good feelings, and his Jupiter sextiles your Moon so your feelings are magnified by his presence.

Hmm all in all some pretty good connections but it's a delicate situation.. I'm pretty sure the interest is mutual but be careful not to be deceived (strong Neptune).

Oh boy, Doux Reve I will take that caution to heart about needing strength for maintaining a platonic vibe. Honestly, it's mostly him keeping that in check so it feels easier for me. However, I don't want to get in a bad situation where I lose my sense of right and wrong!

Everything you said sounds pretty spot on. Especially the very last bit. I have 2 completely different mindsets: When he's not around, I have an image of what he is, but if I compare that image to his actual presence, it's not accurate. Being around him is sort of like trying to look at the sun, it's there and shining like crazy, but you can't look directly at it. So I'm not surprised about the Pluto person(me) feeling more obsessive interest on than him.

When you say be careful about deception, do you mean in general with him, or deceiving myself or deception in a particular area? I guess I should read up more on the strong neptune aspects.

Would you be able to have any insight on how he may be perceiving me? From what you read from the synastry, I'd say his birth time is pretty accurate.

I think this is an Asc issue.

His aloofness could well be that he also just wants to get to know you too and, with Scorpio moon, he is also reluctant to just "jump right in". He may also be taking his time...

How long have you two known each other?
And where is his Mars sign?

Sometimes the best approach is the most obvious;just be open with him.

But will that be possible with your moon in Virgo and Mars in Aquarius? Both can be quite calculating and project cool indifference; keeping their feelings(moon) and motives(mars)bottled in intellectual analysis.

Your Mars in Aquarius squares his Asc(I assume), which explains the fixed sign attraction(Mars in a woman shows what kind of man she's attracted to).

This can also be a stumbling block because whilst Aquarius detaches from feelings, Scorpio swears by them. Perhaps you remind him too much of the tension between his own Asc and Mars sign? Perhaps he just doesn't want to come across as over-emotional.

But given the time that you two have known each other for a while now, I suppose its its the moon signs that are playing this game of cat and mouse.

Let me see if I can add my two cents worth;

With Cap Asc, its likely that his moon falls in your 11th house(friendships). He definately feels very close to you. But with ever-suspicious and tense Scorpio energy, he may be too unwilling to relax and just let it "flow".

Also the Square with Mars doesn't help matters. Aquarius always wants to maintain some "distance" between them and the one they care for: It prevents things from being complicated(as far as Mars is concerned).

Any other planets like Venus/Mercury will add emphasis to this bond on his side and create a feeling of losing control when being with you(Aquarius) but ironically, wanting to be in your company a lot more(Scorpio).

With a Scorp Asc, your moon falls in his 11th house. Yikes! A double whammy.

You probably feel just as bonded to him but Virgo often wants to tear apart and analyze whatever it is attracted to: Find what makes the other tick. This is how their able to "manage" the appropriate way of responding when relating to the person.

You also have Mars/Sun action in Aquarius/Scorp respectively; this can make decision-making on both the emotional/intellectual part quite difficult. No wonder the emphasis on the analytical moon. You are trying to strike a productive balance.

However, with moon signs in Virgo/Scorpio(both known for their tendency toward privacy) it may prove a little challenging. One of you has to give in and both of you are control freaks(in your own respective ways)

Your Sun falls in his First house. This adds to the feeling of familiarity between you two and a soul connection. You may gain a very clear picture of what your long-term goals are and be able to recall what gives you sense of vitality when with him.

His Sun falls in your 3rd house; he sees that being with you allows him to be a lot more versatile, to be more expressive and a lot more "in tune" with what is going on around him. Is there perhaps a square to his sun that is preventing this playful energy to emerge too?

The only obstacle could be the all too familiar Asc/Moon square Mars natally as well as in synastry that he has to contend with.

On your side, you'll have to deal with both yours and his Mars squaring your Sun. And your moon opposing his sign.

Hopefully this tense action between you(which can easily translate to an attraction), won't fizzle out to arguments, disagreements and fights(due to projecting to each other the square action shared nataly)

AscTaurus, very enlightening. Hearing it laid out like that from an outside perspective makes things more clear. It resonates with me. I think I'm may be shaking this guy up a bit more than I think and should probably go easy.

Thank you also Doux Reve and Faith. All three of you have made my virgo moon feel a lot more at ease organizing these feelings a bit.

I'm taking your heed AscTaurus, about attraction energy turning to fights and conflict. I'm going to try to move slow and just be as open as possible and try to remember not to project to much on to him. We'll see how it goes
