I have my Sun as my Singleton planet, only Air in my entire chart. It's also my peregrine planet, the un-aspected one of my chart. Singleton two times over since technically it's the only planet in an angular house for me as well. Having this planet in my chart, that is already affected in an eccentric but lucky kind of way, makes my Sun even more significant to me. In professional matters, since it is in the 10th, I can come across as very dominating, intellectual, but classy and artistic. I manage to get others to do things for me pretty easily. It backfires when I expect too much of people like things should be easier than they are. IP: Logged |

"The Only Child Syndrome" When a person has only one planet in a particular element - the planet then often acts like the proverbial, precocious, spoiled "only child." The planet acts like a spoiled child that the rest of the chart has to cater to and meet it's every passing whim and fancy. The good news is that the "only child" planet also quite often has a special genius connected to it. (Remember, I did say it was "precocious"....) THIS. ALL OF THIS!!! I am actually an only child....I have a 12th house taurus moon which is trine my 8th house capricorn sun but square my 5th/6th house saturn in scorpio. I think my moon singleton really reflects my situation with family. My mom and I are REALLY close...but at the same time, a lot of pain is there too (again, that 12th house) BUT, overall, I really feel like she is the love of my life. That moon singleton however, is square saturn--that is just plain ROUGH. I mean, if I could trade that in, I would! One minute I think I am really really awesome and the next minute I really doubt myself But, I am lucky that my sun really supports my taurus moon. I feel this all relates to my creativity and self-confidence which I struggle with. Ironically, my mom is my biggest supporter--she really believes that I can do anything so that helps. IP: Logged |

I have a moon and venus singletons in air and fire, respectively. I think about this all the time - I'm not entirely sure how they manifest. My moon is in Aquarius and I feel OVERWHELMINGLY Uranian. I don't feel very firey in the slightest, so I guess it's my Venus singleton that baffles me the most. (and weirdly I'm also an only child like most people in this thread) IP: Logged |

I'm a singleton sun. Only earth planet.Eleanor Buckwalter's article is the only thing I've found about it, and I find her interpretation accurate, but a little too dramatic. Then again my sun is in mutual reception with Saturn. IP: Logged |

i should have said that my mercury and saturn singletons are in fire and air, respectively. my life goal is to become a professor. it's strange because i have a lot of difficulty in communicating clearly. english isn't my first language and my mind is really scattered. i'm easily distracted. most people think that i have some hyperactive disorder because of that reason. my inability to communicate clearly and effectively is sort of an insecurity of mine and because of this, a lot of people think that i am unintelligent or treat me so. fortunately, i am able to digest large amounts of information, get to the core of what is being taught, and excel academically. the harder the lesson, the more i feel like i'm in my element. i think that my saturn singleton pulls me in the direction of being some type of mentor. i really do find great joy in teaching others. guiding them on their own path towards maturity of the mind. this probably due to my saturn being in the air element. here are some links that explain planets as singletons: --sun as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/sun/sun.htm --moon as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/moon/moon.htm --mercury as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/mercury/mercury.htm --venus as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/venus/venus.htm --mars as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/mars/mars.htm --jupiter as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/jupiter/jupiter.htm --saturn as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/saturn/saturn.htm --uranus as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/uranus/uranus.htm --neptune as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/neptune/neptune.htm --pluto as singleton http://www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/pluto/pluto.htm IP: Logged |

My Jupiter is a singleton in Aquarius (my only air sign) in the 11th house. I can see the qualities of this placement in myself. Im a humanitarian, I think outside the box, I get my news from sources that are not owned by big evil corporations and I can be a little weird/eccentric (without wanting to be)I believe Jupiter is the reason I over indulge when it comes to food. After I had my son I had to work really hard to get back into shape and Jupiter didn't help me lol I really believe singletons are one of the most important placements to understanding an individual. Every person I know who has one, has that particular planet center stage in their life.

I have singleton Pluto in Libra in the 10th conj MC, and Saturn in Virgo in the 9th. Not sure what to make of it, except that my Saturn conflicts with personal planets has given me a lot of drive in life. I am dominant mutable, and it takes me awhile to make decisions. Once I do make a decision, I stick with it and see it through. I do not give up easily, and love conquering challenges. While my life hasn't been easy with all my Saturn lessons, it has been rewarding and I see myself as a warrior. As for the Pluto, I do feel strongly Plutonic. I have Venus in Scorpio in mutual reception, and Pluto sextile my Sun/Asc/Mercury/Neptune. I do think that despite my Sag Asc, upon first meeting me, it is my Pluto mask that is shown. I am very reserved and observant when getting to know someone, and it is not until my trust has been established that the fun Sag side is let loose. In terms of the 10th & MC, have always felt a strong desire to help others and do my best to make this world a better place. My work involves working with the poor, abused, and neglected. The situations which I encounter are very sad, but it brings me a lot of joy to do my part to help the wounded heal and move on to a better future (Pluto/transformation ? ) IP: Logged |

I've read that planets/luminaries can be singletons in one of a few ways:-only planet in a particular element. -unaspected planet -the pointer in a Yod. ...not sure what else there is, but I've heard of those. Given that, I have at least 4 singletons: Mars in Cap (11) as my only earth. neptune in Sag (9) as my only fire Unranus in Scorpio (8) is unaspected Saturn in Cancer (4/5) is the point of my Yod. I have a singleton in earth, my Cap Neptune in the 11th (it's also my only cardinal planet and my only planet in an air house). I feel very Neptunian, but I also have a stellium in Pisces, Pisces intercepted in the first, and my progressed ASC is Pisces (but it's finally moving to Aries at the end of this year! Cant waittt!!). Sooo if you don't like Piscean energy, you prob won't like me very much. :P My mother shares a Neptune singleton with me, but her's is her only water. I think this is why she seems so compassionate and a bit of a pushover, even though she has *such* strong cardinal energy and a high dose of "detached/objective" air. We are very similar. Never noticed we shared Neptune singletons before. Cool. IP: Logged |

Is there a book anyone can suggest on this? She seems to be the only source with more than a few lines to say on the topic.. Btw if u have say not much mutable are you not inclined to enjoy the fruits of your labor? What do u guys think? IP: Logged |

Hey Lexy!I have Pluto in Scorpio the 5th as a singleton. It is quincunx Mars Gemini in the 12th, and opposition with my Taurus Moon in the 11th. Great, eh? I do think my chart weighs down my Aries-ness, and I think I carry the emotions of a Scorpio more than an Aries, but with a touch of Taurus flavor obviously. I'll have to go check out Cay's links! Scorpio Pluto in the 3rd is my only water planet. As I learnt about its importance, finally I understand where my scorpionic traits come from ------------------ lots of earth+lots of air+Merc in Sag=sandstorm shooting arrows So you better not mess up with me IP: Logged |

Exactly the same situation here! Although i have Chiron in Cancer, so maybe my Pluto isn't a singleton after all. IP: Logged |
