Neptune stands for the ability to be humble (amongst other things). My Mars is conjunct Neptune... and seeing humbleness in someone turns me on... whereas a lack of humility (or arrogance) seriously puts me off in a man. If you have your Mars conjunct something -- do you feel very attracted to the qualities of that planet? And - at the same time - put off by the opposite? :edit: I am referring to conjunctions with an orb of at most 5 degrees. This is the orb I personally use and what I'm interested in gathering info&data on. Thank you. IP: Logged |

Mars conjunct Neptune here. I don't want a humble nor an arrogant man. I just want a real man. Who does know what he wants.IP: Logged |

You don't have this aspect Rosalind. It is very far off in your chart. Over 10 degrees apart - if I remember correctly. no enemy - quote: like men who do the right thing no matter what. Does that sound like a jupiter influence on mars?
Yes.. definitely! IP: Logged |

Mars conj Saturn, a man who is serious n lays down the law. Dead sexy. The opposite would be if a man had been imprisoned, that would not sit well with me. Or if he did hardly any work, for a ton of money, I can't respect that. I need a man who wears himself out doing something that he believes in, someone who holds the industry he works in to a high standard and expects it to operate in an efficient and organized manner. If a man doesn't understand the politics of where he works, or even worse, acts like he's legit meanwhile sliding through the cracks to get to the exit the fastest, that man will turn me cold. The kind who says 'what a long hard day' but you look at what he actually accomplished that day and it amounts to nothing, no way, no respect. I don't care what he does but he needs to give it his all and he needs to keep pushing to get others in line alongside him. Mars conj Pluto, a man who deals with his problems head on, not someone who runs away from them into someone's arms, or drowns themselves in alcohol or abuses drugs. I can never understand that co-dependent relationship that women get in with those types, that downward spiral with no hope. Zero tolerance. If some man tries to drag me down into his issues, good-bye, so long. I love vulnerability, but the avoidance of reality and how he contributes to the situations he finds himself in is just not gonna get me hot. Also if he fiercely protects the vulnerable, that is hot. If he sits on the sidelines while someone who is weak is being victimized, I lose all respect. This is because I've had to be the one to protect someone, usually another woman from a man, and no one else bothered to step in and fight, so for me to be with a man who wouldn't do the same thing is just unthinkable. No sissies need apply. For realz. I'm not talking about men who talk big about how "bad ass" they think they are. Yawn. Who gives a sh!t. That's not a real man. I'm talking about men who do what needs to be done with no fanfare, no bravado, no beer-chugging-back-slapping, just mission accomplished where you can go home and rest easy knowing that you helped someone out. Simple.IP: Logged |

I can relate to what Odette and Lonake said.I have Mars conjunct Pluto and parallel Neptune. I like vulnerability in men but I also like it when they're willing to work on it and are not afraid to "get their hands dirty". I like psychological awareness and men who are spiritual and have depth.. I think that's hard to find tho lol. IP: Logged |

I don’t have any Mars conjunctions but my Mars being in Leo does explain a lot.I like confident, outgoing, magnetic guys who are comfortable being the centre of attention, and naturally attract a lot of it. Being demonstrative of their love and affection, and warm and open in general really attracts me. For me, a guy must be passionate. An apathetic attitude is a turn off…. I always fall for guys with tons of fire in their charts! Odette, I actually don’t mind if he’s a little cocky… If it’s in a playful, boyish, innocent kind of way. I want a guy who is realistic about himself, but who also doesn’t take himself so seriously… Someone not afraid to laugh at stuff, and joke around from time to time. An excellent sense of humor really turns me on. I’ve also got Mars is in the 9th house, the Sag house… Which may explain this part, better then Leo. Also, integrity and honesty, and the ability to do the right thing no matter what. Yes, love that, just like no_enemy. Being fiercely protective of loved ones and friends, and having the guts to stand up to unjust people, is also very attractive. Most of all, I just want someone who is… Good, nice, kind, honest, decent, just, friendly, helpful, faithful, trustworthy, dependable, hardworking, loyal, unpretentious, loving, passionate, dynamic, interesting, generous, hilarious, playfully charming, fun to be with, and strong willed… But willing to compromise when it’s fair… Oh, and someone who really, really loves and cares for me… Who I totally love and care for in return…. Having good hygiene, healthy habits, and a good job, would also definitely be positives… I’ve got a Capricorn Sun, ruled by Saturn in Virgo… I can see some of that seeping into my preferences as well. Being good looking, with a handsome face, and beautiful thick hair helps too (this part is from my Mars in Leo for sure!).

My Mars is conjunct Neptune (5 degrees) and also parallel.I like men who are compassionate and spiritual, creative and idealistic. A little bit of a "knight-character". But I am also attracted to warmth, enthusiasm and confidence, and to men who have a great sense of humour and are smart; something you wouldn´t necessarily associate with Neptune.

I have mars conjunct jupiter in cap. I like enthusiastic people, the opposite does put me off.And I always say the most important to me is "a large" personality, a small person is huge turn off to me. I have also observed, in synastry we always have some serious influence of jupiter. With my current one, we have jupiter exact conjunction descendence. It feels so generous! I love the influence of jupiter in my relationships.IP: Logged |

I think it 's really depend on the rest of the chart. Such as my case...Mars conjunct uranus , apart 1 degree . I don't find the uranion person interested as much , but I don't like guy that have a slow... Move/decision/reluctate/ any thing opposite to uranion characters. But the truely uranian does turn me off, though my uranus is exalt. I like something down to the earth which is probably from my Virgo AC and the saturn is also there IP: Logged |

Mars conjunct Uranus and Pluto here. I am attracted to men who are psychologically complex, deep and intense, who live on the edge or dangerously in some way and who are not afraid. They generally stir some controversy around themselves as they are extremely individualistic (and pretty opinionated about it too) - they rarely go with the flow. All being in Virgo - they also have to be intelligent, practical, dexterous and technically competent - they have to know what they are doing. Sigh! So ... I attract "difficult" men it seems. No knights in shining armour that want to protect the poor maiden for me!.......the men I like do not "worship" me in any way, shape or form, they are immune to my feminine wiles, and don't offer me an easy road or way out of anything. The more they take me out of my comfort zone and intrigue my mind, the more hooked I get. IP: Logged |

I have Mars conj. ASC, both in Gemini, and I get the reasoning behind everyone else's Mars conjunctions but I'm confused how to frame mine since it's the ASC and not a planet. Does it mean I like... men who wear "masks" (the ASC) or simply someone I can talk to?IP: Logged |

I also have mars conj neptune. I do like it when a guy is shy and sweet. Acting all macho and confident psh. I've also noticed the Neptune affect. I kind of want to be the one to safe them. IP: Logged |

In your case I'd think the Asc acts a portal for Martian energy to come through. IP: Logged |

I HAVE Mars conjunct Venus, but it's not within Odette's orb of allowance. quote: My Mars is conjunct Neptune... and seeing humbleness in someone turns me on... whereas a lack of humility (or arrogance) seriously puts me off in a man.
Is that it?? Or are you a dominant type A who needs an overly feminine man to balance out the strong masculine signatures in your chart?? IP: Logged |

I'm submissive sexually and neutral in other aspects of life (I can compromise). An example of being humble could be ---- People who can admit that they were wrong - when they were - for instance. Or - People who don't blow their own horn.. just quietly confident and happy in their own skin.. etc.. Humble/Arrogant... does not necessarily mean the same thing as... Submissive/Dominant. "hum·ble (hmbl) adj. hum·bler, hum·blest 1. Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful." IP: Logged |

Also - I find arrogance & cockiness to be a very very weak character trait. I don't see these people as strong and I could not see them as dominant - because they reek of weakness.. from my perspective.IP: Logged |

My mars is conjunct my descendant in Virgo and sextile my Saturn. As a result, I like men who are low key (Virgo) with a quiet confidence, masculine and take charge. i don't care for loud, brash, arrogant men. IP: Logged |

Okay, this makes sense. quote: Humble/Arrogant... does not necessarily mean the same thing as... Submissive/Dominant.
Truth. However, humble is often a euphemism for submissive. quote: I'm submissive sexually and neutral in other aspects of life (I can compromise).
Speaking of ... I've heard mention of a Sun in Scorpio, but nothing of the Mars in Taurus. Did I miss a thread? Or, meh?? Alright, alright. I'll just go ahead and do me. I have Venus conjunct my Mars. Sign wise I've had issues with Libras & Taurus in the past. So I can't say I experience out of body attraction to either sign. Venus is the principle of Social Grace, Beauty, & Charm. She also represent the relationship principle, money, & partnerships. The pretty, polished, social types I find intimidating. I always suspect they may be manipulators out to trick me. People with money - I'm fascinated by their toys, but not necessarily attracted. As for the needy relationship/twosome types, they annoy me. I need loads of alone time to sing and daydream and such. Am I put off by the opposite?? Sign wise, may be a little by the Aries teasing, but not so much by Scorpio - thus far. I much prefer someone who needs a little fixing up and some organization. So yeah, I think I'm attracted to the opposite qualities of the planet in conjunction to my Mars. IP: Logged |

I agree, since they're both in Gemini. But what does it say about what I'm attracted to? Just extra Gemini-ish men? IP: Logged |

I like Saturn energy. And Pluto. What they have is Saturn AND Pluto in strong aspect to personal planets. And, sometimes, Saturn/Pluto in 7th or Capricorn/Scorp DSC. Never have and would never want to date a Capricorn Sun. I find them incredibly unattractive. Scorpios are sweet to me but I don't get a charge from them, the way I would from a guy with Venus in strong aspect to Pluto, for example.Anyway Odette do you find that Pisces men hold a special allure for you? or is it more like they have venus/neptune? Hi Lonake --- I'm attracted to *real* Pisces. But not all Pisces are real or genuine. It depends on culture as well. In Western culture we expect men to be tougher and emotionally detached... and this leads to some twisted, emotionally warped - Pisces boys out there...So I can't always deal with them. My first love was like this - Pisces Sun&Moon. If all Pisces men were as humanitarian and caring as Pisces interpretations suggest - then I would've married one by now haha IP: Logged |

Also - I seem to have pretty big issues with Aries Venus in men...(and sometimes Aries Mercury). It would have to be a Pisces who doesn't have those planets in Aries. IP: Logged |
