The overwhelming emotional need for the Moon in Taurus is security, which you seek in material or spiritual things depending on how your soul has progressed. This is a deeply entrenched Moon with fixed habits and a tendency to hold onto emotions no matter what. You are prepared to make many sacrifices in order to stay safe.

FINDING THE ETERNAL SELF
With the Moon in security-oriented Taurus, your search has been to find the eternal Self – the part that reincarnates and can exist beyond physical “death”. RESISTANCE TO CHANGE

Yep. Holding on to emotional 'security' (as if there is such a thing has been a albatross around my neck for near my entire life)....It is only recently that I have truly incorporated releasing negative patterns and holding my OWN self emotionally outside the actions of other people that I have come to experience the beautiful stability of emotion that this moon can bring.
