quote:
Mak: March 23rd to April 11th
Meaning: Enclosed, Cover, God of Number 3
Mayan Zodiac Symbols Interpretation: Those born in the Mak sign are under one of the largest mysteries of the Mayan astrology signs. The meaning for your sign is less clearly defined than for any other. Mak is a mystery and that makes you a mystery as well. You do best when you keep some of yourself back from others. The words describing your sign are cover and enclosed, once again referring to something that is "under cover" or hidden away. Like the bear, spend time in reflection and meditation. If you allow yourself this personal time away from others you can discover the mysteries of existence. Your power number is 3, which has numerous references in symbolism throughout time. 3 is considered the number of divinity, balance and completion.

quote:
OSIRIS (MAR 27 - APR 25)

Osiris is the god of the underworld. Those born under this sign are full of emotional paradox and are misunderstood by others because of it. They are enterprising but shy away from responsibility.

quote:
The Family

March 6 to April 4

Element: Earth – Sense: Smell Favorable day: Tuesday
Sensitive organs: The lungs
Most successful months: March and July

This geomantic figure has a solid foundation from which it reaches toward the sky. It traces the image of a large community with strong solidarity between people of the same blood lineage.

“The Family” consists of many members and enriches itself with adopted children who are received with joy.

Those born under this sign have no inclination to be selfish, are warm but reserved and are very often full of care for others. They believe, “sharing with others openly brings success.” Such hope of success is realized by a combination of strength and rationality.

“The Family” natives are consulted by others more than most, but must remember that there can be agreement in the community only when it is based on ideas that are clear and understood by all members. You are opposed to secret arrangements, petty schemes and lame pretenses which have no place in your world.

You have a tremendous ability to look to your own inner wisdom that makes you an effective arbitrator and counselor.

Know that you are inclined to accomplish one single great achievement, though you will prosper in many other diverse areas as well.

Awww well I am very family-oriented!

Yes, I had a version that related more to numerology than astrology, it was so spot on! I can't find it on the web though, I have a book on it.

I love the Mayan description! And it's cool because I've always considered 333 my power number.

Woodpecker: Jun 21 – Jul 21
Woodpeckers are usually the most nuturing of all the Native American animal symbols. The consummate listener, totally empathic and understanding, the Woodpecker is the one to have on your side when you need support. Of course, they make wonderful parents, and equally wonderful friends and partners. Another proverbial feather in the Woodpeckers cap is the tendency to be naturally frugal, resourceful, and organized. In a nurturing environment the Woodpecker is of course caring, devoted, and very romantic. Left to his/her own devices the Woodpecker can be possessive, angry, jealous, and spiteful. Learn more about Woodpecker meanings.

Chinese Zodiac: Horse
Symbol meanings of the Horse date back to prehistory, and the first civilized, written acknowledgement of the Horse comes in the third millennium BC where historians uncovered slate tablets in Elam (present day Iraq and Iran) which reference this noble, wild beast.
Due to its natural companionship with man in both work and art, the Horse easily wins a special seat in history, ranking high marks of honor, reverence and symbolism.
Serving man in war, mobility, productivity, agriculture, development of all kinds, the Horse is by far one of the largest contributor to the enhancement of civilization. With such recognition and accomplishments, a vast and diverse trail of symbol meanings is sure to follow the Horse’s rich history with humankind.
A summary of prevalent symbol meanings for the horse:
Power
Grace
Beauty
Nobility
Strength
Freedom
The Horse symbol meanings of power are widespread through most cultures, and it is linked as an emblem of life-force. Many cultures assign the attributes of the four elements to the Horse: Earth, Fire, Air, and Water. As a Celtic symbol, the Horse was associated with war. With war, comes attributes of victory, conquer, longevity as well as procurement of territory and other spoils that come with triumph in battle.

PHOENIX (JUN 25 - JUL 24)
Phoenix is the bird of life and resurrection. Those born under this sign represent possibility, they are optimistic and flexible. This can cause them to be dreamy and introverted.
BASTET (JUL 14 - 28, SEP 23 - 27, OCT 3 - 17)
Bastet is the cat goddess of pleasure. People born under this sign are charming and charismatic, and are successful because of it. Compatible with Sekhmet and Horus.

I feel the most connected to the Native American, Chinese and Egyptian zodiac signs, I crave productivity and freedom.
