New guy is very blunt and playful. Lots of sex jokes and he sometimes will laugh at my expense. His placements are:

Gemini Sun/Aries Venus/Leo Moon

So I want to give this guy a chance but his behavior kind of overwhelms me. I have alot of scorpio/capricorn influences. How do I lighten up? I think he is intrigued at my cool confidence but I feel like I am too dark/serious for him.

Almost every Gemini sun man I have known of has gone for Scorpio and Capricorn women more than any other sign. I know one Gemini who is in a long dist relationship with a Scorpio friend, one Gemini who continually dates Capricorn women, and although I'm a Leo I have 8th house placements and Capricorn as one of my dominant signs...I've attracted a few.

I'd pretty much just tell you to be yourself. I wouldn't make any sudden moves hinting towards commitment right away with Gemini (not that you would). He is not so wishy-washy with that fire in his chart though. I can actually see him being quite forward. Geminis with fire tend to be relationship-inclined from my experience, but if they have a lot of water or air, probably not.
So...be yourself, I would not initiate anything to do with commitment too soon, but I think being your interesting Scorpio self, you have a good chance with him. He may see your seriousness/depth as something he needs in his life, but they dislike emotional confrontations so things would have to come from a neutral/logical standpoint. A lot of Geminis have trouble coming to terms with their own personal feelings.

Sorry if this didn't help a lot, but good luck. And maybe someone who knows Gemini better or IS Gemini can give some advice.

Anyways, Lazyscarecrow is spot on!!! I am also attracted to Scorpio placements!! I wouldnt try too 'lighten up'. Just maybe take what he says a lil less seriously but he is attracted to you right? When you were being your natural scorpy/cappy self!! Also, i know its corny and all but.... be yourself. If you try to change you eventually will not be happy with yourself. And if you do have to change who you are to get that man... well, you were probably not meant to be together.

That was great advice, thankyou! I actually met him off of a dating site because you can search people by zodiac signs. So I looked for Geminis. Gemini is in my DESC/7th house and Mars.

My only love was a Gemini and what you say is so true! Esp since he had Saturn in the 7th. This new guy is very forward! He makes me blush sometimes! I am the one used to making people uncomfortable.

And yes, you are so right about keeping things light! My past Gemini was very intense (scorpio in 5th) but this new guy is like a adult child and wants to live in the moment.

Anyway, I have grilled him so much already he said already "Are you testing me" and this guys loves using emoticons " :P very expressive and blunt"

Thanks Gem-Gurl and yes I have the tendency to take what he says too serious. Honestly, the other day I was being a bit dramatic and I somehow got *him* to apologize. Maybe he doesnt mind the drama (leo moon)

He makes a lot of jokes. He asked "is your sister as cute as you lol jk" or "do you want to blow my instrument" (we were talking about his new flute. Anyway, I dont find any of what he says funny but I want to find it funny! Its frustrating I hate feeling so uptight.

I am not talking about changing my core beliefs but it wouldnt hurt to lighten up. Thats what I meant by changing myself.

Keep it up! B/c now you've got him hooked. You gotta show him that if it's a party he wants, then that's what you're gonna give him. In spades. Don't worry about over do-ing it cause that won't be a problem.

Once you've noticed a look of enchantment, intrigue AND/OR he acts impressed w/ you, that will be the perfect time to start openning what's really inside him and what makes him tic!

If you like him, BE a surgeon (not literally of course) and dissect him. Figure out what he likes w/o his permission (I'm not saying go thru his phone and stuff.. I'm talking about taking the reigns and initiating your intentions!)

He'll be relieved he's finally found someone that can "keep up". By then you'll be showing him your Scorpio side. And we all know that "Scorpio side" is the the most addicting side of them all

P.S. Sweet and subtle compliments on any attractive physical features of his are a huge plus! Just don't give them too often!

Thank you! Its funny that everything you are saying is what I naturally do but I haven't dated in 2 years and am very paranoid.

I also have a Sag ASC so I naturally come off as goofy and fun loving. I will just channel that energy.

I bet you attract alot of Geminis as well, with your placement.

Hi! Sorry my reply has taken awhile!! Oh my darlin, i dont know about him, but me personally. If i liked a guy and tried to make him laugh, but it didnt work. Funny that you "clam" up. I have a Cancer girl friend who does this with crushes, she will just avoid her crush (also has virgo venus).

I am glad to hear that leo/gemini seem to be attracted to scorpio/cappy energy; it is something I have also noticed.

One thing I am confused about is how do I know where I stand? Sounds obvious but I dont know if he treats all girls this way. How do you show that you are serious? With me its easy, I only focus on dating one person at a time. Also, are you ok with being around somebody who acts older or is very mature most of the time?

No, I AM NOT confused but he is just like you said he wants to go with the flow. This is what bothers me the most! I need commitment before anything physical (holding hands, kissing etc) with the exception of hugging! I told him this and he did not seem that phased, probably sees it like a challenge but I am not going to back down.

Yes, I can tell this guy loves to flirt and its new to me, so much confidence. I am not a sucker for it though, like so much girls, he thinks he is soooooo smooth. It does seem like a big giant game to him. I am so intense I am already thinking obsessive Scorpio thoughts.

It does sadden me that he does not seem to want to take it as serious as me. How could you love someone but not tell them? That is very hard for me to understand, if anything I would drop big hints. Then if they were being ignored I would start to withdraw.
