Topic: What's in the chart that makes her too distant

I talked about this awhile back, this girl with a chart full of air with Gem Asc, Sun, and Mars, but doesn't act like our usual Gem, that's usually more sociable, friendly, and bubbly? This person is so closed off, wont talk unless you talk to her, and doesn't want to open up. Her family doesn't even know what's going on with her. Her sister would get frustrated because people have tried for years to reach out to her, invite her to parties but she always prefers to be alone. She doesn't even have any close friends now. If you talk to her, she'll be nice, but will cut it short, will not give you any chance to bond, and will say No if you ask her out. Her family thought it was depression but she gets good grades and goes on with her life but just lacks friends/social life. I supposed it's just how she is? What do you see in this person's chart that would make her so serious, even more suspicious and secretive than our Scorpios? She is popular to my Scorpio friends. They like her attitude. I have Scorpio friends who tried to befriend her, but just as no luck in that too. Positions of Planets

I think its depression moon square Saturn and the Neptune opposition. I feel it is depression. You can have good grades and be functional and still have depressionIP: Logged |

I'm sort of the same way and people used to always think I was depressed, but I definitely never have been. I'm perfectly happy being along or with other people, but I find I'm usually happier alone. Some people are just like that. Do you know what time she was born? Maybe she has a heavy 12th house. IP: Logged |

I did forget to put the houses up! Born at daytime, and i remember her Mercury in the 12th house and Midheaven.

Where are her Ascendant and her Mars?

I can't see them posted. Since she has Pisces MC- she might have Cancer AC which would make sense for her behaviour.. Cancer AC can be an introvert.

I know a gem sun and mercury who is like this, his nickname is actually "silent". Kinda unusual for a gem sun and merc. He also has sun opp neptune and trine pluto. His moon in cap squares pluto as well. Pluto to the sun or moon can be very "lone wolf" sometimes. I am and I have the conj very tight(sun). Also her moon square saturn makes her depressed and self isolated, these people often really need solitude and others think they are weird. But their not, thats just how they get their needs met and it feels comfortable to them. My sister and I both have this square, hers is 0* and we are very much like that, especially her. IP: Logged |

Isn't it unusual for a Gem to be too quiet and always at home? We always tell her to join us, but we've been turned down so many times. Sometimes I do feel she tries but gives up as well. IP: Logged |

Plus Taurus, another homebody, plus Venus and Jupiter in fire signs = sociable (if they want, but also could be someone who has no problem with boundaries) and independent. I also find the Gems I meet are quite serious folk. They're witty but all of it is choice, and if a Gemini is irritated for whatever little reason then they might just shut down and focus. You didn't mention if she gets mad or irritated at these invitations ever, so what's the deal with her moods? IP: Logged |

Yeah, a Cancer moon might play a part in it since they're home-bodies. You'd think she'd want to be closer with her family though? I don't know.Her ascendant is Gemini, and Mercury is in the 12th, plus Saturn is in the 5th house. I would think that would play some kind of part into what you described. IP: Logged |

She rarely go to any. When she says no, she means it. She snapped when her older sis forced her once. She's sensitive but hides it. She's very caring of others but will not want anyone who keeps asking her questions and invades her privacy. She'll be there when she's needed. IP: Logged |

I don't think there's anything wrong with her behaving like this. I am the exact same way as you described her.
I don't talk unless I'm talked to, and it takes me a really long time to open up. And I can relate to turning invitations down, staying home when my family went on a vacation...At one point my family also thought there was some issues with me. I am not saying it is the right way to live, only that sometimes you can be like that without having personal issues like depression and such.
There's a thread for what aspects or placements could make for someone who is introverted or extroverted and some people had very interesting points there such as planets being on the west or east side.
What I notice in her chart is that all of her personal planet are on the east side which could make her more introverted than she's supposed to be with her gemini placements. Also saturn trines her ascendant and sun. And saturn in aspect to the ascendant seems to add a lot of seriousness and obstacles/limits in dealing with others (I have it near the descendant, with a 9° orb and I'm still feeling its effects. And as mentioned earlier she's a cancer moon. Cancer people love being home. IP: Logged |

I have a Cancer moon.Sometimes, I stay home for family outings, other times, I go. I like to do things with friends. Honestly, there aren't many people my age in the family, and I don't feel like I have people to hang out with or talk to, and it can get awkward. Other times, I'm feeling fat or tired or just disagreeable, or else I wasn't told ahead of time that there was something going on, so I either made plans to hang out at home or made plans with other people. I don't really avoid them, though, except for a few family members that annoy me. Most don't. We only see my dad's side, though.

Im wondering if she has a lot of water house placements? The sun and merc gem I mention has it in the 4th with the sun closely conj ic. As a child he was also really shy and quiet and had a stuttering problem oddly.IP: Logged |
