The Houses of Chiron and Saturn
By amiann | Published: July 18, 2012

As I do charts, the charts and my talks with clients, are my teachers. Chiron is the wound that will not heal. Many Astrologers fudge Chiron to say that it can heal. I am true to the myth of Chiron, which says that the wound will never heal. However, the person can use that fount of the wound, with which to water others. The native is equipped with a special ability to heal in the exact place that he, himself, can never heal. Again, people chastise me for my “rigid” views. They want to mitigate things, such that all things have a happy ending. That is not life and that is not Astrology, as I see it. I do not dishonor Astrology by making everything pablum.

Back to Chiron. Chiron is more house sensitive than sign sensitive. Chiron’s house is a big factor in any chart. Your heart will be broken in the affairs of the house in which Chiron resides. How do I come to this? Current Psychology implies that people can heal from anything, if they only try hard enough. My opinion is that this is not true. We have wounds which we will take from cradle to grave. The Chiron wound is one such wound. Go to my articles on the Houses( or any article on the purview of each house). Study the house in which your Chiron resides. Meditate on the affairs of this house and the role they have had in your life. I think that it will be a house of pain. Please, write me and tell me what you have found.

Saturn has a different twist. Saturn promises rewards, in the House in which it resides. The rewards are based on hard work, persistence and continued effort, as in a mountain goat climbing a hill. Saturn is, both, the sign of the goat and the sign of Father Time. Saturn is kind, although many people see him as gruff. He is kind, as a father who makes you work for your allowance, would be kind. The father who did not care may give it to you to make you hush up. The father who wanted the best for you would make you struggle and strive, as he knows that will build your character, and ultimately, your freedom *SIGH* Life is very hard, on this earth. Saturn is there to teach us our lessons. The earth plane demands that we must learn them, or stay forever a child.

Back to Saturn and the Houses. Saturn’s sign does have importance but I am not going to explore it in this article. We will stick to Houses. Again, study the House in which Saturn resides. There you will have to struggle and strive for what you get. You will work until your fingers are thread bare. You will be paid little as you apprentice in Saturn’s House. Saturn’s rewards are not given cheaply, but they are given. Also, one will have a special wisdom and maturity derived from Saturn’s hand. The person will have a singular beauty, as does old and worn things, in the very places in which they were worn. Think of the Velveteen Rabbit when you think of Saturn. Can you persist to learn Saturn’s lessons? They separate the boys from the men.

I have Chiron in my 11th house. Yes, it's true. I have had struggles with my friendships all the time. I cannot trust people that much to be in an honest friendship with them. I like them, they like me, but there is always something that keeps me apart, i'm not the kind of girl that will love her friends till the end of time no matter what, maybe, if they get my trust. There is a friend of mine, that i met recently, and i trust her very much. It's weird, because i know her like month, but still she's very close to me.

I feel that this position of Chiron is closely tied to one of my past lives, in which i was betrayed by one person whom i considered my best friend. I ended up dying of plague in the prison, so i guess my mistrust to those people i consider my friends, are exactly from that lifetime.

I have Chiron in the 9th. The Moon conjunction is really important in my life. I feel like that I am going to help people one day who have had similar situations like me growing up - people who felt alone and didn't have a stable family.

It's true that I have also had religious issues. I wasn't baptized at birth for some mysterious reason people couldn't explain to me; I always felt awkward at church and it made me embarrassed hearing friends at school talk about CCD and all these religious activities and how I knew nothing about them. I also have felt on the worse side of Chiron that life can be bleak and meaningless and that I had to do everything to avoid falling into these rut that I see everyone else in. I don't feel like I'm spiritually connected to God as others seem to be so easily yet as research has told me, I could never be a true agnostic either. I want so much to feel like God can help me but from this placement I feel like God doesn't really care.

I have Chiron in the 4th and I can't seem to get over my childhood. People who know me would laugh, as it is obvious
This is what got me thinking about Chiron's house.

I have Saturn in the 2nd. The 2nd can be self esteem and I am getting self esteem but it has been a slow, slow walk, as Saturn demands.
Most of my articles come from my experience or those of my clients.
I don't talk about things that are just intellectual, and not experienced by me.

Well, I suppose you will have both effects in the same house, or a blending. Really, I would think it would be a super hard house for you? Which house is it? Is it super hard for you?

The 12th house would be a hard one as the wound would be hidden and/or repressed i.e hard for you to access

To me, the 1st would be harder as it would show.

Ok Saturn conj ASC would make you a serious person with a serious out look toward life. I really need the people with Chiron in the 7th to teach me how it works, in a practical way.

well i think my chiron in the 7th makes me hard to trust others....i already had crappy relationships with people that lead me into being very hurt and making me belive that maybe every other person that i love will hurt me that way...so im learning to slowly get people close to me instead of shutting them off...

thats my opinion maybe people had other experiences with this

My chiron is in the 12th and have tried reading what I could find about it, but it doesn't really resonate with me. I have no idea how it affects me. But guess thats the 12th for you...

In a relationship would it be better to have someone with the same Chiron house placement? so you could heal each other in the area you can not heal yourself. Or have conjunct Chirons? or would they both work the same way?

I mean no disrespect to anyone. This is just my feelings and the reality I live in. (Everyone deals with their own chart)

This is so interesting. Thanks for posting.

My Chiron is in Gemini, in the second house.

I can talk a lot about finances, building credit and what are good investments; but I rarely follow my own advice. I have a problem with spending. My finances are not a mess but I am not really building them towards anything. I also don’t value money or personal possessions.

The second house also has to do with the value an individual places on themselves. Majority of my life I have felt pretty terrible about myself. Not to mention, I have (Venus aspecting Saturn) and I am a Virgo. I have always strived toward perfection. Even as a child, I thought something was wrong with me, that I didn’t fit in, wasn’t good enough and wasn’t on the same level as my friends. Sometimes I had no idea why my friends wanted to be around me. I got involved in the natural bodybuilding lifestyle (no drugs) which isn’t good for self esteem (for me) because my goals have always been perfection, which isn’t attainable. It’s not until this last year that I actually started to love myself. I don’t know if it has to do with a transit or just accepting the things I cannot change.

My Saturn is in the 7th house in Scorpio and I also have Pluto there as well. My Venus is in Cancer but aspects Saturn and Pluto.

I got married really young but I was in love and I am still in love. I am pretty open-minded and I believe marriage is an answer to social and economic issues in different cultures. When it comes to my marriage I value the solidarity that we have. I can share everything and anything with him. I don’t care about anyone else. I think Trent put it best as “I am the king and you are the queen and nothing else means anything” NIN

I think another reason why our relationship is so strong is because he has both Capricorn and Scorpio placements. I trust him completely and he is a rock.
We also don’t have petty drama in our marriage. I don’t understand why people get wrapped up in drama or why some people talk bad about their partners to others.

I mean no disrespect to others.

That is beautiful and very interesting, too. I was kind of thinking of this when I wrote the article. I was very put down by my mother and had low self esteem, due to that. I have Saturn in the 2nd and I am raising my self esteem and getting confidence, now. I think Saturn allows for that.

I think both are painful, but Saturn can heal and Chiron will, always, kind of hurt.

I have Chiron in the 4th and feel that my wounds from my mother never seem to leave.

I’m sorry you had those experiences in your life. Do you believe that Chiron will always be unchangeable? I hope not.

I just checked my transits and Venus and Jupiter are transiting my 2nd house. That may be the reason for these new feelings of love and acceptance of who I am. I hope that they are not artificial and disappear once the planets enter my third house.
