Hello,Read about ascendants in celebrities on the net when somebody was mentionining Milla Jokovich, who apparantly is cancer rising, Sagittarius sun, 12th house gemini moon like I am(!) according to a post here:

and another, Milla Jovovich
Sag Sun, Cancer Asc, typical cancer asc features - soft looking, shiny skin, Uranus trining ascendant from the 5th house. Mercury opposes asc from the 7th and Moon is in the 12th house Gemini."
I noticed my ascendant is very strongly aspected:
5 oppositions, a square and a conjunct.
What does that mean? Is it helpful/hampering? Would it make my cancer ascendant stronger or weaker in how it comes across to others? What effect would it have on looks?

i think they just modify your ascendant abit. i have an aqua ascendant conjunct venus and square pluto and the moon. people tell me i can appear friendly and nice (venus) but also look intimidating (pluto). Also my facial expressions dont always match up with the way i really feel, i think the moon square to the ascendant explains that.IP: Logged |

Good question, I am asking myself the same for a while. I have a Cancer ASC too with 6 or 7 other aspects to my ascendant. I guess it will modify your ascendant according to the planets aspecting to the ASC.IP: Logged |

I've got Uranus and Neptune trine to my ASC, it could give me some dreamy image, i think, because i AM very dreamy person, yet the only planet in water is Pluto in Scorpio, so i do blame this Neptune trine to my ASC for all that dreaminess. I also have Lilith square my ASC, no idea what that means. And Hyperborea conjunct my ASC, as i figured out, it points to my numerous past lives in Britain!

Ok, I definitely hope that spunky has a different meaning in US English... (spunk = semen in my world)!!

I have all of my planets, lilith, eros and psyche on my asc except mars, Uranus and Pluto. A heavily aspected asc may cause you to not fit all of the typical characteristics of your asc. Aspects to the sun give you a certain kind of present around I.e. People are just drawn to you. Some aspects such as Venus, mars, Lilith or Eros adds charms, a seductive presence etc. Pluto and Lilith definitely adds mystery
And or raw sexual presence. Eros and or Venus would add a certain kind of charm, asteroid HEbe would add a youthful appearance etc.

My Sun-Mars-Pluto trines my Asc within 1 deg. People tell me i have a nice figure, but my skin is horrible.. always had a prob with acne. Also sun trine asc is suppose to put you in the spotlight, and that isn't the case with me at all.. but as a person with dominate scorpio that's a good thing  lol IP: Logged |

When you have squares/oppositions/trines to your Asc,you have a matter of projection,or impression.
When planet in H1/aspecting Asc via conjunction,then you can see a physical aspect.IP: Logged |

Not sure about the house placement with the aspect but maybe for you, your with Asc trine Pluto you have a certain kind of intensity towards creative things and directing your energy towards your goods. Or a good ability to only show only a small fraction of your personality. Maybe you constantly transform whether its your personality or appearance.

According to astro win my asc is the strongest in my chart.. I am as Scorpio rising, Pluto conjuncts it exact. Mercury and Venus oppose it. My moon squares it. Neptune sex tiles it. IP: Logged |

I don't know what your rising sign is, but I read that scorpio risings often have skin problems (like my sister) and otherwise hard Saturn(-mars) aspects? Do you have these?

Ok - makes sense... Been told in a post here that I look extremely cancer rising , and I have no planets aspecting it in the 1st house but have tons in the others ! So it's probably not very apparent.
I don't understand what you mean by "you have a matter of projection,or impression."

That's true:
- I am said to be very creative, which helps me as an engineer ! - I don't like to show it all to strangers (my personality), so I can control what "I let out"... as I feel... except for the mars square that I told about to aquaguy ! - I don't know about transforming personality... can you give me an example? But as I've thought about it in the past two years I've changed hairstyles (not acid colored mohawks or anything..! but from long and curly black to blonde to straighted permanently to shoulder length to straight bob to curly shoulder length black... to...arghh! LOL!) and I can change a lot in apperance with makeup and the things I can with hair/clothing etc.. I get the "You look like a completely different person today!" a lot IP: Logged |

Squares/trines/sext/opp aren't all about projecti0n and impressi0n. They do m0dify your features.
My aqua asc 0nly laid d0wn the foundati0n(block face structure/clear skin/broad shoulders), the rest was gifted by planets aspecting it and 1 housers. I've merc sextile asc - my hair's part straight, part curly.
Venus sext asc - 2 dimples in each cheek, curvy and been told I've a sweet smile.
Jupiter sq asc - broad forehead, born heavy, m0st fat's deposited in the thigh regi0n, overweight till I hit puberty.
Saturn sits miles away fr0m my asc yet m0difies my asc - thick eyebrows, dry hair, lo0k thinner than I weigh, pr0minent b0nes and jawline, b0ny in certain places, well set teeth, small features, impish ears. My skin's allergic to dust, soap, certain oils and m0isturizers and metals. Can't wear ear rings. When exposed to any of these, it goes horrible for s0me time. I'm an aqua rising with n0 mars/saturn hard aspect. But I do have Saturn sq pluto in scorp. IP: Logged |
