Topic: Neptune aspecting ASC = Looking "lost" or "confused"?

People are always telling me I look confused or "lost", even though I don't feel those things inside. Sometimes someone could be talking to me and I will be distracted or thinking, so I miss a social cue. I have no Pisces planets or placements in the natal chart whatsoever, only Pluto is in the 12th house. I DO have Neptune parallel Ascendant, and I read parallel is pretty much similar to a conjunction. If I am WAY wrong, please correct me, I don't care.
Anyway, tell me what you think. Give me other possible aspects that might explain this, if not Neptune/Ascendant. IP: Logged |

What aspects the Neptune. Do you have a square or opposition with Mercury?------------------

Actually, I have Mercury inconjunct Neptune. Would that still count? Um. Other Neptune aspects I have aren't too major. It trines Jupiter, sextile to Pluto and trines MC. Neptune conjuncts Uranus in the 2nd house. IP: Logged |

Maybe because it is because you are Scorpio asc, it might be completely different. The energy might be more easy-going or alluring rather than confused or lost, lol. IP: Logged |

i have a twelfth house sun with neptune conjunct uranus(chart ruler) and pisces intercepted in the first house and i also have the whole dreamy lost look going on , people always tell me i appear deep in thought.IP: Logged |

I have Neptune conjunct my Ascendant. When talking to someone or talking within a group of people, i have the day dreaming look or stare. I was even told i looked stoned onetime. VG87 IP: Logged |

What's your ascendant sign? Do you have any planets or asteroids aspecting it?It's interesting, I've been wondering he same thing lately. I'm a cancer ascendant and I recently find out that my sun-neptune conjunction in capricorn quindecile my ascendant and I was wondering how this would play out. I, too, have been told that I looked "lost" or "confused". I give off the vibe of innocence, naivety, and not really knowing what to do. It baffled me when I learned that was how people perceived me, when they didn't know me. because I am definitely not naive or confused and I very much know what I want and don't really let myself be deceived by people. I only realized this when a good friend of mine actually pointed out rather unexpectedly that I give off the vibe of a sort of helpless, vulnerable girl waiting for prince charming to come and save me. So, maybe neptune plays a part in this, even with less used aspects. IP: Logged |

My Ascendant is in Capricorn. Just Neptune conjunct. I believe i also give off an aura of naivety aswell.

My Ascendant is Sagittarius  It's well aspected by my Leo planets and receives a square from Jupiter, other than that I know of 3 asteroids conjunct my ASC: Angel, Persephone and Euterpe. I need to do more research. Sun conjunct Neptune quindecile your ASC...hmmm I think that is strong enough to give that effect. Sun is our inner ego and the planet Neptune adds it's qualities to your Sun. Aspecting your ascendant, it kinda colors the way you appear to others. Including the sign it's in (Cancer rising). I wouldn't call Cancer a "lost" sign but maybe being deceptively passive appearing. What else is Neptune doing in your chart? Are there any planets in your 1st?

Sorry, I am still confused on interceptions. Does that mean Aquarius was supposed to be your 1st house sign?
Also, I think the 12th house may have bearing too since it is Pisces' house. IP: Logged |

Hahaha, a couple of people have been getting the "stoned" comment. I've only been told that once...erm...or twice.So @aquaguy, going by the rule Pisces would be considered your 2nd or dual ascendant? I am only asking cause that's the 1st I've heard that. IP: Logged |

ASC-Neptune could be it.I have Neptune conjunct ASC, and while noone really told me I was looking lost or confused, I sometimes feel like I am suddenly "waking up" in the middle of a conversation, even though I have been present all the time.
It just happens that sometimes my thoughts lead me elsewhere, and sometimes I don`t even really register that I "quit" the the talk for some time. Luckily it is always short and I don`t come across as rude. Also I have difficulties to stay focused on the Here and Now, if someone bores me, or if I feel the subject of conversation is trivial and not even funny. Like cars.
If I feel it is close to the heart of the other person I will still listen nevertheless to respect his passion, but usually if people go on about things like these, cars, fashion, whatever (these things hold zero interest for me), I easily float away inside my head and rather think about an interesting astrological problem for example.
I guess in those situations I might look a bit confused especially if I start to re-enter the conversation and hadn`t noticed the subject was changed. I guess in my case it is a mix of:
Neptune conjunct ASC
chartruler Jupiter in Pisces in 3rd house square Neptune
Stellium in Sag
and Moon in Aquarius Neptune/Pisces easily floats away into their own mind. And Sag/ Aquarius don`t do "boring" for very long. IP: Logged |

Yes. While it is not a second ASC (the ASC really is only the rising degree), it is the co-ruler of your 1st house and influences 1st house matters. IP: Logged |

Hmm I have neptune/asc opposition and while I've had some random insight on how people saw me at first glance, I never heard of looking lost.Things I've heard: "you look so innocent/ like a babydoll" cancer asc "i thought you were a book worm/nerd" (I do love books  ) I'm guessing this might be from my merc/asc square? and the oddest of all " you look like one of those librarian types by day and dominatrix by night types " ... And yes I've had someone say this randomly out of the blue unrelated to anything
I'm still kind of weirded out on how I give that impression considering I've never done anything and I'm only 16 (soon 17). Even when I was younger some people thought I was "active" somehow :l
