Any 10th house sun people out there - I am interested in your personal experiences of this placement? Have you experienced fame or are you considerably well known in your profession? Has life been quite successful? Let me know! Thanks!!IP: Logged |

I know someone with a Cancer Sun in the 10th who is a lawyer. Not famous, but very respected by everyone. She didn't start low in life either, but now she has a sweet life. She worked hard for it too, but as I said, also had resources to begin with. She was always liked and respected by superiors and pretty much everyone, except a few jealous girls. She is a decent person and deserves everything good in life. IP: Logged |

I've got my Sun in the 10th conjunct my MC by 1 degree. I am young still and not well-known in my field. Honestly, it is not a goal of mine TO be well-known. I really just got my graduate degree so that I could eventually have my own counseling practice and have a relatively successful career doing something I enjoy. I will say that I am EXTREMELY ethical, and this causes other people to automatically respect me in that respect. I play by the rules because I inherently understand why those rules are in place. I also am strong willed enough to speak up when I see something not so good going on. So again, people respect me for that too. I have a Scorpio Saturn in the 12th sextiling my Sun in the 10th, so that could mean that if I do become "well-known" that it won't be until I really work my way up. So it could be that it comes to me when I'm older. Who knows? I do know that the 10th house Sun conjunct my MC causes me to never really be able to 'blend in' in a group. It doesn't help that my Uranus/Jupiter conjunct squares my Sun either. I always feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. The Virgo in me just wants to be able to blend in... IP: Logged |

There is one young woman I know who has her n.Sun in Taurus in the 10th conjunct her MC. She's a musician. Not yet famous, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she did have a hit record at some point. She did say the other day that she did have some interest from some record labels. Very sweet person, and has a heavily aspected n.Neptune in the 5th.IP: Logged |

My Sun is dead smack on my MC, and I'm going through a rough time right now figuring out the Career aspect of my life. I know I have many gifts to share with others, but I've been somewhat of a 'Jack of all trades' who loves the concept of being a Polymath. I deeply admire Leonardo da Vinci. To me he is the ideal human being. My degree has been centered around music and art history, but I've also taken courses in philosophy and physics and biology because I strive to learn about everything life has to offer! Though there is nothing more beautiful that someone who perfects their craft and utilizes it for the good of mankind.

I have a 10th house Sun in Libra too. I'm curious, how does it function for your sister? Mine is a bit unique since it makes no major aspects but maybe it still functions similarly to how hers does? If you want to share about it that'd be great, if not that's OK too. IP: Logged |

i have libra sun 10H at 1 degree. i'm not famous - yet! - but very respected amongst my peers in my profession. i do have a stellium of 7 major libra planets in the 10H so it's even more pronounced. i have always had career success - moved up when i wanted, got jobs when others couldn't, always moved up the ladder quickly. i would say i have achieved my work goal - great income and a job i love. this placement makes me very happy at work and it was easy to find the link early on between who i was as a person and how that would match with my profession. so, i'd say this might make for people who actually love their jobs? at least i do, and find great satisfaction in it.IP: Logged |

Hi there, this is an older topic but maybe it's still of interest...I was googling Sun in 10 and that's how I got here. I have an Aquarian Sun in 10 near MC, which is ruled by Saturn. My professional history is a combination of hard work yes, but also strikes of good luck or just catching the right people's attention. I was born with a striking communicative talent (Mercury conjunct Venus, also in 10.), but never went to university or anything (Saturn is in 3., I'm having trouble with disciplined studying). However - well in my thirties and despite my lack of academic training I've managed to gain the position of managing director of a small PR agency in the health industry (seems like an appropriate manifestation of an aquarian Sun in a Capricorn 10th.) For the past couple of years, I really enjoyed the status and money involved with it. But recently, as Saturn is squaring my Sun, I've been running into some doubts as to whether this is really all it's cracked up to be. Because, taking into account that my natal Saturn is retrograde in Cancer, conjuncting the moon .... you get my drift. At the moment, I'm growing gradually more tired of the responsibility that's involved in being the only person in charge of a company, even if it's small. I'm taking into account that maybe this isn't even my dream that I'm living.. my dad had a south node in 10 and he never really managed to release it during his lifetime. My Mum also has self worth issues - she was always implying that a woman really needs a man to be "worth" something. It's like I was forcefully trying to prove her wrong... However... considering my own north node is in 7. conjuncting neptune, sextile sun and pluto in 5... maybe my own salvation lies in not pursuing my own career, but supporting a partner's. I know this is quite an unpopular perspective in our modern times and it would strike most people who know me quite odd...they see me as an absolute career focused woman. And maybe it's just my ovaries talking :-D (or moon in Cancer, rather). But... my story really proves that singular aspects never give you the full picture. For years and years when I or someone else was looking at my chart, the result was always: "Capricorn MC with Sun in 10 - surely this life is bound to be ruled by ambition to make it big...". And it's not that I don't want that. It's just that I'm feeling a growing emptiness in my life and also a burden on my shoulders. The hardness of Saturn doesn't seem to fit me anymore. I want to be more creative, more free and without the pressure of having to earn money with it or pursuing a career doing the things I enjoy. I could well be happy standing in the second row. Strong woman behind a strong man kinda thing. Does this make sense?? Always look at the full picture. Even the greatest aspects usually come with a warning sign. IP: Logged |

Virgo Sun in 10thI'm only 20 years old so not so much to say. I was pretty popular in school. (Not to be a narcissistic a-hole) I was totally oblivious to it though.. people even from other high schools knew who I was and talked about me, apparently, which I only found out by people from those schools mentioning it to me. I have always been really liked and, in a way, respected by my teachers. Some would even let me snooze in class lol. One told my mother, "He's very smart, sometimes I even let him sleep in class because I know he already knows his stuff." Also, when I was in trouble with the law the judge really seemed to like me and treat me special. I also have had many advantages by knowing the right people or being liked by people in power. That's about all I can think of. IP: Logged |

I have this placement, Sun in 10th (aries) conjunct MC with a wide opp to Pluto in 4th.I worked in Government. Had no problem getting promoted. Began supervising a small unit by the time I was 24. However, I ended up being forced to resign because I accessed information I wasn't supposed to have. (: Then I went into private practice and was surrounded by High level people. Senators, LEgistors, power brokers etc... I got raises without hesistation but stopped asking because I didn't want to get "stuck". Here I did well but got tired of the corruption I saw and abuse by Egotistical people. I am now unemployed and trying to do things for myself. Im in early 30's so I feel I still got time to make a mark! That is how the Sun in 10th worked for me. Considering you have to start somewhere, I believed I lived out those energies at least in the career area. IP: Logged |

for me it has been career as the main focus, and the popularity/wanting to be known has just come with it - popularity amongst peers/supervisors, etc. the focus has not necessarily been on staying in one career and getting ahead, but just on career in general - did i pick the right one? what else might i want to do? how can i make money at XYZ? exploring career options, etc. the same way someone might question decisions about family/friends/love i spend my time dwelling upon career issues and choices IP: Logged |

I do feel the need to make a mark on the world before I pass away. Or accomplish something great. It causes me anxiety sometimes just thinking about it :SIP: Logged |
