Natal and Composite: 7 for Conjunctions and Oppositions. 5 for Trines, Squares, and Sextiles. 3 for Minor aspects.Synastry: 5 for Conjunctions and Oppositions. 3-4 for Major aspects. 2 for Minor aspects. Asteroids: 2-3 orbs just my preference IP: Logged |

5 degree orb for major aspects,natally 3 degree applying and 2 degree separating for transits / progressions 3 degree orbs in synastries & composite (I vary on this one,actually,sometimes I allow wider orb)

Generally, 8 degrees for planets and up to 10 degrees for luminaries and ruler of ascendant (Hard aspects). Also, if a planet is strongly represented within the chart, I allow a wider orb such as this. I think it to be a bit preposterous to disregard anything beyond 2 or 3 degrees. If too much of the chart remains unexamined, potential valuable information will elude your attention, and it isn't a whole analysis. It's important not to be too fixed in this regard. There's too much grey area and a lot of considerations and exceptions must be made on an individual basis. IP: Logged |
