Honestly, I often find Cap Venus (and moon) to be too cold and standoffish/that they push me away, which causes me to be very unhappy and dissatisfied. I don't find them soothing. I don't say that to be hateful, but I end up feeling really hurt by them and it just doesn't work well with Cap Venus or moon and me.

My mom has this position, and we struggle a lot, though we're getting along better right now.

I've known other Venus in Capricorns and, like the moon, the way that they avoid people is off-putting for me, and I don't like that behavior. Even when I like other things about that person, it's enough for me to just stay away from them because it makes me feel like they don't want me around. So, after I try for awhile, I give up.

In talking to Cap-influenced people here recently, I'm learning that those with heavy/prominent Cap will avoid people when they feel like other things are more important, that they put people at the bottom of their priority list (as opposed to work, family, etc.), that they sometimes want to be alone for awhile, they're not into emotions, and sometimes (though not always), avoiding people isn't personal. However, even understanding this, they tend to do it without a word or any clear sign that things are still good. It's just something that makes me uncomfortable because of how it makes me feel.

I'd be more comfortable if the person would just say how busy they are, what they have to do, that they do want to get back to me, and if they made a scheduled time for that/kept their word and got back to me. To just have someone disappear without a word, or to have someone not respond to you even when you say nothing remotely offensive, is very damaging to relationships, especially when it happens repeatedly.

My current love is a Sag Sun, Taurus Moon with Venus in Capricorn and Mars in Scorpio. He is a Libra Rising.

I'm a Libra Sun Moon Mars with Venus and ASC in Scorpio.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "soothing" a Venus in Scorpio..but he is a very dedicated lover with his Cap Venus. He is not great with words and all that fancy schmancy, but he definitely will show it by actions.

I don't find my guy aloof or standoffish. Actually we've had a long history together and he has always been demonstrative to me and he gets pretty intimate with me. He has a great sense of humor around friends and can get goofy (Saggy sun) but with me he likes to cuddle, snuggle, be cozy and watch a movie with me and stuff. He is definitely sensual and likes to touch (Taurus moon?) not to mention, he loves good food that I cook for him.

I wouldn't say he's detached at all. Infact sometimes I can get really stressed and busy with work that I turn "cold" to HIM. And when I do that, he puts on a puppy face and likes to nag me and say "You haven't given me any love today!" or "I haven't gotten a kiss from my favorite lady yet!".

He doesn't like it when I am upset. But when it comes to getting down to business and work, he is always up to it and getting things sorted out efficiently.

But anyways cold and aloof - no. Atleast not with me. Not great with words? Definitely yes. Shows his love through actions? Yes. Sometimes a little less creative with the way he shows his affecionts? Yea. But hey, he's a very very good guy.

I guess you can say that to a scorpio venus like myself, I do appreciate and love the way he is a dedicated and loyal lover. That once he attaches onto me, he's attached for good. Once he wants something he'll go for it and get it. That's the stuff I admire about him. Not really super entertaining but atleast he is steadfast, stable and reliable -- the things that I seek out in a lover.

I'm heavy scorp (sun/venus/mercury), he's heavy on both aqua & cap (sun aqua/venus capricorn) and we both have gem moons.

Oh yeah, I should add that he is aloof - twice we've abruptly stopped talking after I make some slightly clingy gesture. Yes it hurts but it only makes sense.

Hmm..I know some gem moons who are quite affectionate and not aloof (one's a cancer sun though)

I do well with people who have Water for their Venus, particularly Cancer but also Pisces. I don't do that well with another Scorpio Venus person usually since we both will have loyalty issues at some point regarding each other.

Venus in Cancer, I can never sustain friendships with them. I don't understand why--you'd think we'd get along, but nope. It never lasts.
