For fun I like to figure out which signs kind of match certain archetypes in history or fantasy.Which sign do you think most closely resembles Greek mythologies Siren? ------------------

interesting question, i'd like to know ppl's opinions too  personally, I think scorpio  quote:

I disagree simply because there is no single image of what a "siren" is, some were half human fish hybrids; sea-nymphs, others were depicted as half-bird half women much like harpies or the furies, and others were simply beautiful women sitting on rocks with the ability to manipulate their appearance to appear like the "ideal" of any man that crossed their path much like a succubus. If anything I'd say Scorpio is a Succubus (transformation, sex and death), and a Pisces ( dormant, confined to the sea, yet at the end of the zodiac cycle possessing a kind of enlightenment from solitude, and a depth from spending years alone and a longing for the next stage in life; a mermaid. I'd say Cancer is a form of a siren; the emotions of a Cancer are ever changing, unpredictable, maddening for many people and destructive. Yet when the lunar phase changes calming or seductive. We could even add Taurus to the mix because in the zodiac "Taurus" is represented by the "voice or throat" and their are many reference to Demeter and Venus creating these creatures. IP: Logged |

Pffft. Pisces, pisces, pisces. In fact, I'd say in any text explaining pisces, they should just write: "Siren." and leave it at that  That's what they are for me anyway. (If we are using the most common definition of creatures luring you in with their other wordly, beauty and music and intrigue and then detachedly watching you crash into the rocky shore as they swim away to lure another... Moonfish is correct, that is what I was referring to. Sorry for the simplicity of the question, you obviously have a lot more background knowledge on the entire subject than I do. I was just asking about basic similarities people thought those signs had with it.
