Let's see if anyone notices any connections with people in their life. scorpy_oh Knowflake Posts: 270 From: Registered: May 2012	posted August 12, 2012 02:45 AM taurus ascendant - capricorn decan - pisces duad scorpio sun - pisces decan - aries duad scorpio moon - pisces decan - aries duad sagittarius mercury/decan/duad virgo venus - taurus decan - cancer duad scorpio mars - pisces decan - aries duad virgo jupiter - capricorn decan - capricorn duad i was thinking about the significance of duad-radix connections in synastry the other day. so thanks for starting this thread. i speculate that duads have a role to play in attractions that aren't obvious in typical synastry connections. my girlfriend's sagittarius stellium falls into my 7th house, and my scorpio stellium falls into her 2nd house. looking at this synastry alone, she would have a greater impact on me and i do view her as an ideal mate. on her end, the 2nd house doesn't sound too promising in wanting a relationship compared to planets in the 7th house but she swears that she has always felt that i was for her.. she was inexplicably drawn to me. i then looked at how our duads interacted with one another, and i found that my aries duads tightly conjunct her radix aries descendant. my duads also explain why i have an affinity for aries placements. i don't have a real difficult time in relating to aries influenced people. it's pretty ill-advised to have any type of aries-scorpio relationship, but i don't find this to be true for me. i even sort of see myself in them from time to time. I have a double Aries influence on my ASC, double Aquarius influence on my Sun, and surprisingly, an Aries influence with Capricorn on my Moon. I think the double Aries on my rising explains a lot - the duad/decan adds a double boost of fire to my Sagittarius ASC and probably makes people think I'm way more outgoing and extroverted than I actually am. Moon sq. ASC doesn't help. :P The double Aqua on my Sun explains a lot too - I can be quite Aquarian. I identify a lot with Aquarius and some people have guessed me as Aquarius before. IP: Logged

Exactly duads and decans seem to explain why couples of typically not compatible signs can be very compatible. Plus your mercury is both decan and duad Sagittarius, which could make communicating and relating with her much easier. IP: Logged

May I say I find I identfy much more with them than my actual radix/natal placements. They're like the missing pieces that help me get a better understanding of my own behavior. Capricorn Sun / Capricorn decan / Aries Duad Capricorn Moon / Virgo decan / Scorpio duad Capricorn Mercury / Virgo decan / Scorpio duad Aquarius Venus / Aquarius decan / Aries duad Sagittarius Mars / Sagittarius decan / Pisces duad Cancer Asc / Pisces decan / Aries duad All this fire and water influence definitely make sense to how I behave sometimes and especially how I come off to others. My moon/ mercury conjunction in capricorn remained misunderstood to me for a long time, especially as I was reading cap moon description and couldn't identify with it really well. But the scorpio duad definitely makes sense and applies to me. There are times when i definitely feel like the duad signs are my most basic, instinctual energy, and my radix signs are more like a "filter" to channel and express this energy. The radix signs are more what I'm aware of, describing the way I will handle a situation and how it manifests itself in every day life, while the duads fell more like my subconscious, instinctual behavior which sometimes seem unexplainable to me. It's also quite fascinating how most people have an easy time picking up the duad vibe of someone by just looking at them or seeing them interact(duad sun or duad ascendant usually) I'm definitely sure that duads also play a huge part in explaining attraction. I don't know though if it's more of a duad person attracted to the radix person or the other way around. Each ending degree carries over into the new decante so how do you know which is which? Still posting my results anyway... shrug I don't know much about duads or decantes, but I've always wondered why I have so much in common (on an unreal level) with Leos, or why I seem to react to things like a Scorpio. It's interesting. Sure House placements can be felt but I think certain house placements take longer to notice. I thing 5th and 7th house placements are more immediate when interacting with people while 8th house placements take longer to notice. IP: Logged

I tend to attract Scorpio Moons & Mars. I attract Pisces Suns and ASC. I attract Aries Suns. I attract Capricorn Mars. I attract Leo Suns, Mercuries, Venuses, and Mars. I attract Cancer Suns, Venuses, and Mars. I attract Sagittarius Suns, Moons, and Venuses. I'd say Cancer, Scorpio, and Leo are the most common signs that I attract. IP: Logged
