There is a lot written on this for lovers but what happens when its a friend, co-worker, family member, an enemy? Has anyone had an experience with Venus Conjunt the ascendant where there wasnt any romantic feelings? How did you feel about them. Did you ever not like a person with this placement?

I had one with a guy whom I consider to be my best friend. I'm venus and he's the ascendant. The conjunction is in aquarius. I've never had any romantic or sexual feelings towards him but I just plain adore him. He's one of the most understanding person I know, a very good listener and isn't prejudiced at all. Though the situation is now way different that it used to be, I can safely say that back in the days we truly enjoyed each other company and I'm pretty sure he felt loved and appreciated around me (and anyway with all the efforts I've made to keep this friendship going, if he doesn't get it, there is a serious issue with either of us)IP: Logged |

Yes I had this with a family member, her Venus same degree as my ASC, she adored me and felt it necessary to often comment on my looks which wasn't exactly comfy for me but there ya go. Her compliments actually embarrassed me more often than not. I think that's more because she had Moon/Venus in Leo and I have Moon/Venus in Capricorn, so from my perspective it seemed a bit OTT since she was bowled over by me every single time; after a while as a Capricorn you think, 'Lady, are you serious?' But she was. I was her favorite. I like when their Asc is conj my Venus and when their Virgo Asc is trine my Venus too.IP: Logged |

Thanks for the replys. This is very interesting. I have my Venus in Cancer and whenever I see a Cancer rising person I just think they are the most beautifully person. Do different signs play out differently? If Venus/Asc is in Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc? What are your thoughts on this through different signs?IP: Logged |

Is the non-competition the Libra Dsc? Yes I think adding in the sign and other aspects to mix is always a good idea. Well mine reversed would be my Venus on their Asc, and the ones I've known I've taken a liking to rather quickly. Actually not shy or reserved around them at all which one would expect from this sign. But they have Cancer Dsc and they're actually quite warm in getting to know me. Well also my NN axis would fall on their Asc axis so that is something else to keep in mind regarding my encounters with this conj. So yea, not stereotypical Capricorn at all Plus like I said Venus conj Moon here, so my Moon would be on their Asc too.IP: Logged |

Do you think I relate to others in a non-competitive way because of Libra being in my 7th house? All that Aries competition is just against myself. I try to break my own times, lift heavier than I did the day before, do more than I did yesterday. I am not interested in being competitive with anyone but myself. I like relationships to be lighthearted, with good communication. quote: Originally posted by Lonake:

That is really interesting. You said you knew someone with Venus&Moon in Leo conjunct your Asc and they were very affectionate with you. How do you act when you meet a Capricorn rising? When I meet a Cancer rising. I usually don't say anything but am in awe of how beautiful they seem to me.

The Asc is defiantly the one being admired but it is also nice to be the Venus person because (for me) it is just calming to be around that Asc person.

I really like the Sun/Asc conjunction (if I am the sun). Its really nice being in their presence (as long as feelings are returned lol)

Hi Cay, sorry I didn't answer sooner. Yes you could meet others under the guise of Libra Dsc. It's for this reason that Libra Asc can come across as so combative and not peacekeeping in the least, Aries Dsc. Or that Leo Risers like myself can come across as surprisingly aloof and not needing any approval, Aquarius Dsc. Not really always what you expect. Also take into acct condition of Mars, it might be natally Rx or turned Rx by progression, this is the Martian energy turned inwards, where the competition is against yourself, beating your own best record -- constantly challenging yourself. But regardless Mars is your Asc ruler so it has something to say here on where your Aries Asc in focused. And maybe also, Venus in Aries finds it a compliment, a turn on to be in competition, so that's how it was expressed in their chart and it was projected onto you? So maybe see if that's the case with others with Aries Venus, because I don't really believe that they'd all be using that energy in that way and have it be so contentious. Also look at the other aspects your Asc was getting from their chart When I've met those who had their Asc conj my Venus (Moon) we get on well they act warmly to me and accepting and I have no problem just dropping my natural reserve around them and opening up. We become friends pretty quickly. And yes I tend to think they have beautiful bone structure, and I'm telling them to keep their hair off their face so other people can see it, to which they blush Agree on the Sun/Asc connection for me being the Sun (my Asc ruler) we get on really well and there's just something about them that I just love. My most intense relationship was with a Libra with Venus in Scorpio, Conjunct my Ascendant. The truth is I really fell hard for this girl and she broke up with me after about 6 months. She actually though I was only into her for sex-basically saying I was into her looks. I mean, yeah, she was a dime and I loved having sex with her, but I was definitely in love with her big time. It took me a long time to get over her and for a while I thought, man I wasn't good enough for her. When in reality I was probably the best she'll ever find. I can't think of another guy that would put so much energy into such an intense relationship like that plus other things(not trying to sound cocky). Nowadays, I don't think I would ever give so much of myself like I did with her and put forth effort like that again. ------------------ Scorpio Rising with Saturn in the 1st house Aries Sun Sagittarius Moon IP: Logged |

Would Venus parallel Asc. be similar, but maybe not as strong? Someone's Venus, Valentine, and Mars all exactly 0° parallel my Ascendant, Venus, and Mars. I'm wondering if the parallels act like softer conjunctions?IP: Logged |
