That's very sad looking at his natal I can tell he was very emotional.Well since it wont be no time of death for suicide you could always put in the day he was found dead.Atleast then we can have an idea what his transits was like.

I read once that people with hard natal Moon/Pluto aspects can be so deep and emotional it can scare people away.I have an ex with this aspect he was very deep.

He didn't commit suicide. He overdosed on a heroin-cocaine mix. He was a hopeless drug addict. I've read a lot of stories about how after his ex-lover died, he just kind of spiraled downward...no one knew of his death for weeks. He was a recluse.

Awakemer, it's funny you say that about him going to you in your sleep lol..because in April I had a dream and he was in it, and I knew he was dead, but I was talking to him and playing with his dreadlocks (he had dreads at one time)..it was sooo bizarre. I had a dream about Pete Steele of Type O Negative, too, who died in 2010. Channeling the spirits of dead musicians FTW!

Anyway, if you pay attention to his lyrics, especially when he was in the band Mad Season, they message is quite clear and very chilling. He knew he was going to die because of his addiction. There was an interview with him shortly before his death, and he said he never wanted to die this way. Another interview from the mid 90s asked if he was happy, and I believe he answered something like "I was gettin there.." and then he got teary eyed. I think the death of Demri really did him in.

Such a tragedy. His voice is my all-time favorite; he really was grunge. Angsty, hurt, bitter, and very, very sick. RIP Layne, 10 years <3

I am a quite the appreciative lady of Alice In Chains and Layne.

As a matter of fact, one of my cats is named after Layne.

Suicide, wheather intentionally or not, he wanted out...you can see it in his eyes, you can feel it in his lyrics....

Suicide comes in many forms and fashions...

Has anyone read Angry Chair? It's a good read, with the exception of poor writing, but also sad as he told the author about his demise shortly before his death. You do get the sense that he was a very sensitive soul, but tough as nails as well.

He died on the same day as Kurt Cobain, but eight years later on April 5, 2002. His body was not discovered for weeks when his family had the police go check on him. The thought of him being alone made me cry for days.
