Topic: Sun/Moon midpoint and relationship needs

I've been thinking a lot about midpoints lately, specifically the S/M midpoint since in my Solar Return this year I have Venus Rx exactly conjunct my natal S/M midpoint at Gem 7. Venus is also conjunct Jupiter (10th house) and I wonder how this will play out.In my natal chart, I have asteroid Pallas at 7 Gem so it is a part of what I consider to be a relationship need - a planet or asteroid which is conjunct your S/M midpoint. I also have Mercury at 10 degree Gem so although it's technically too wide of an orb to be considered conjunct, since Mercury is my chart ruler and also in the 1st house I do give some lattitude here - and I can tell you that that communication is THE most important thing to me in relationships. I am wondering who else has a planet conjunct their S/M midpoint and how you see it manifesting in your life/your chart? For the record, patterns are a huge part of my life and Pallas represents, in part, patten recognition. IP: Logged |

My sun moon midpoint is Venus, and it's true, relationships are very important in my life, too important really. Most of the guys I have had karmic relationships with had an important planet conjunct my Venus. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your response Belage. Yes, having Venus right on your midpoint would most definitely have an impact. Do you feel more secure/able to express yourself/calmer when in a relationship? For me, I have more experience with transits hitting my S/M midpoint and more aspects in synastry conjuncting my Venus/Neptune midpoint. IP: Logged |

My Sun/Moon midpoint is 1 degrees off of my Venus in Gemini. Gemini/Sagittarius 28 59'degrees. Actually right near my Eros and Psyche, sign wise my Sagittarius ruler of my 8th house, my 28 degree Taurus asc/dsc, and my lilith in 7th house. Guess that means forever ALONE =P

Relationships impact my mood and my health for better or worse. So I have to be very careful who I am with.

^^^ Cool. And here is the online calculator one can use to figure out one's Arabic points without pulling one's hair out:

For instance, for death of parents, the astrological degree they gave had no relation to the timing of my parents death. And the point for divorces made no sense either, I couldn't see any connection with my 2 divorces. IP: Logged |

I have used that website before too. I found a connection between my mother's "daughter" arabic point conjunct my mars in Taurus IP: Logged |

I did a post on my Sun/Moon MP a while ago, about how mine is EXACTLY on my MC.... so you can see how my career and achieving fame, success and respect in society occupies much of my time. Your Sun/Moon MP is the point where the true desire of your soul, its purpose seems to lie... as one poster said here, having Venus on or nearly conjunct this MP will make love a very significant part of their life time. In my case, things get trickier since I do not mess around... I don't wait for mostly anybody. I have my eyes on the prize. I want to make a difference and stop at nothing to achieve it. The fact that my Mars/Pluto MP is also conjunct my Sun/Moon MP and MC only adds fuel to the fire. The fact that I am so into my career has caused some difficulties in life, especially with relationships. I am so dedicated that I am willing to leave almost everyone I must behind, but not in a cruel way, just physically... e.g., willing to move to the other side of the earth if it means success, but trying hard to make up for it.
