If we are talking about Synastry aspects, then the double whammy means that you and the other person are sharing the same aspecting planets together.

i.e.

Your Sun, is conjunct the other's Mercury.

The other's Sun, is conjunct your Mercury.

Note: Your Sun's do not have to be conjunct.

Translated in Synastry, this means you both relate to each other in the same stimulating way. You communicate your thoughts fluidly.
