So far, there are four pillars (hour, day, month and year; two other are also added in some calculators (conception and life))
Each pillar has an heavenly stem (there are 10 heavenly stems) and an earthy branch which is an animal (12 animals) (and they each contain hidden stems but,this is a whole another subject)
From what I understood, the day master is your day pillar heavenly stem. And it is the most important in Ba Zi because it is used to determine your chart type, and the relationships of the other stems (heavenly and hidden).

And now my question is, what do we use to know some of our characteristics? What prevails? The day master (heaven stem) the day earthly branch (day animal) or the year earthly branch (animal of the year you were born)?

I feel like the ones strongest in my personality are my day and hour sign. Though I feel all of these energies.

Snake
I have my spiritual side or whatever you want to call it. Can be reserved, but also magnetic. I have very nice smooth soft skin. Never had acne. Oh I like seeing people that kick me when I'm down get their karma. lol

Fire Sheep
everything I read about fire sheep for is spot on for me. From being less sensitive of what others think of me, to enjoying time with people and being alone too.

Metal Dragon
I really feel like this is my most hidden side. "Yet even if they attract no support they will fight alone." So true! "burns his bridges behind him so that he cannot turn back once he attacks"

Metal Horse
Lots of people born in horse years do seem to jump in and out of relationships...I've done that a bit. But way less than most people I know born in this year. Must be my cautious snake asc. I don't think I'm that popular either. Never really had popular status. I do have friends though. Just not a sh!t load. haha I can be really social half the time though lol. I also read that horses dog tigers are the social romantic ones. And wilt if lacking affection. I relate. And I am a bit unpredictable. "must have varied experiences in order to feel alive and kicking." So true, if I lack that I get depressed, and will eventually bust out and shake things up until I feel alive.

Rats, Dragon, Monkeys are known to be the powerful ones with strong personalities.

Ox, Snake, Rooster are known as the mature no nonsense ones.

Tiger, Horse, Dogs are known as the social romantic ones

Rabbit, Sheep, Pig are known as the meek peaceful ones.

I wonder this myself too, especially the ascendant and hour pillar correlation.
From what I've read, the month pillar is more how you want to appear to others.
But I really wonder if the hour pillar is similar to the ascendant.
