What I hate most is all that stuff they say about having to work to earn things in life, to only be successful in the 2nd half of life [really, why? it's not fair]. Basically seeking advice re minimization of its influence. Absolutely anything will do.

Not true. I'm a Capricorn Sun and I love it. I take pride in who I am... Caps have a natural sense of wisdom about what’s reasonable and what isn't, and we have great BS detectors. I’ll admit that there are some unevolved Caps out there, who really are cold hearted snobs, and just plain mean in some cases. But the more conscious, evolved ones are awesome. Levelheaded, no-nonsense, trustworthy, together, loyal and kind… Not to mention that a lot of Caps do have quite a wicked wit on them.

A lot of Caps do struggle with insecurity and shyness when young. But, hey so do Cancers and Virgos and a few of the other signs. Shyness and insecurity are not exclusively Cap traits. And usually we improve more and more with each passing year.

It’s not true that Caps ALWAYS have to wait until later life for success (But if you have a lot of Capricorn or Saturn influencing your chart this could be true). You’d need to take a detailed look at your chart to determine something like this. The Sun being in Cap is just one factor in your chart.

i am not by any means denying anyone the pleasure of enjoying whatever sign they were born under. but name me one sign that is worse? yes correct, there isn't a single one.

shyness and insecurity are deadly sins. worse than murder. seriously. surely no credit can be claimed for something like THAT?

There is no such thing as one sign being any better then another one. Each sign has a set of positives and negatives. They are all equal in goodness and badness. Personally, I think your approach to your own Sun sign is very skewed and biased. It’s your perspective that’s the issue. The sign Capricorn itself is fine.

Besides as I mentioned in my post, Virgo and Cancer can have many of the same issues as Capricorn when it comes to shyness and insecurity, and it’s not like every Cap has a chronic case of this either. It varies from person to person.

Yeah, I’ve got a lot of Sag it my chart too, and it’s my Asc as well. I feel BOTH my Sun and my fire planets, and I like it that way.

have you heard of such a thing as a hyperbole? it's googl-able. but, if one is serious, shy people are extremely dangerous. they blame others for ignoring them a lot of the time. they pose problems to anyone trying to communicate with them. society doesn't need this.

well, you know they say we hate about others what we can't forgive ourselves for. i squeezed that sh*t out of me. and like hell anyone is ever telling me i am like that antisocial cohort with hungry pleading eyes hoping to find friends and desirable lovers as opposed to their likes. none of that thanks. they should sit cloistered at home and not depress others.

if timidity is so damn good, why does everyone want to be around lovely charming approachable people who have an air of lightness about them? including all the shy insecure individuals who envy them?

I’ve had plenty of guys go after me, even when was in my shy phase, and I’ve felt wanted and desired and appreciated. Yes, even as a shy sixteen year old. I actually had friends too. And yes Caps ARE wise about making smart choices, and keeping there act together in life.

Back to the shy timid people, most eventually grow out of it… And if they don’t. Ever heard of compassion?

I don't think Caps are losers. A typical Cap for me is someone sitting on his/her own, contending against life, competing, getting rewarded and still being aloof and lonely. And looked down upon by truly charismatic, successful and popular people who land things without lifting a finger. Because they have enough contacts and confidence. This is what life taught me, miss. Contacts and confidence outdo aeons of hard labour. And this comes from Mercury, Mars and Jupiter. Which is how I want to be.

Of course you don't like things to be hard. That's not the point. The point is that when your life is hard you get stronger than other people. Of corse, you can wish everything is easier so you don't need to be stronger. But it's -your- choice, not everybody else.

Strong in Capricorn myself, yeah life is hard but I wouldn't have it any other way. It makes me appreciate it that much more. I work hard for everything I have & it gives me my strong sense of pride.

I used to be extremely shy & timid when I was young but I never had those feelings that you spoke of. I still had plenty of friends & an active social life.

I have Sun conj Jupiter
Taurus moon
The toughest aspect is a really loose t square between Venus, moon and Saturn, which is mitigated by trines and sextiles with Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto all over the place.

So I don't really have any tough aspects. Seriously.

And also I have mercury, Neptune and Uranus in the 7th

Venus conj mars in the 9th

Basically, I have a dream chart that's got nothing to do with Saturn or Cap. Still I want to be better at stifling them even further.

A whole life of success, so at least the second half success isn't true on my part. I didn't get along with my parents, but I wiped out the school grades and career. I was independently a millionaire (net worth, not assets) by 27 through my own work and investing efforts (and luck). My marriage has also been a success and it's been good for 19 years. She's a flamboyant Leo and yet she's never found me boring. I just got back from a kick ass vacation, and so there goes the garbage about "all work and no play." My children themselves are successes. So hold up your head. As a man, I thank God that my genitalia still works very well, even though I'm advancing in age. As for insecurity, the critical others can bite me. I wouldn't want to be any other sign besides Capricorn, and like Aquacheeka said, the rest doesn't quite matter.
