I dislike hugs when it is not from my romantic partner. Other than that, I will only hug those closest to me, my parents and children. It bugs me to be pressured to hug people upon greeting/departure, as a routine social task. I married into a family that hugs, hugs, hugs and this bugs, bugs, bugs me lol. One lunar female hugs me so hard, it feels smothering and uncomfortable, especially as we are not all that close. Just feels like a fake thing to do, spreading hugs when it is a superfical relationship. Maybe that is the Venus in Scoprio in me. im a taurus and i don't like hugs . i prefer tickles and kisses ......and food if you have any on you.No one really hugs in my family because i think they know how much we all hate it . IP: Logged |

Virgo moon too, and I feel like I should specify...i love genuine hugs, not hugs from people that ive barely said two words too or those ones that come out of people just saying goodbye to everybody. I don't like handshakes, they're too formal but if you're in my life and i don't despise you (that isn't hard because i love pretty much everyone who's in my life in some way) then i'll give you a big hug. there's some people that i'm dying to hug actually haha but it's hard to be like - "hey yo, can i cuddle you just a bit?" I know what you mean. I actually wish I could be confident enough emotionally to give hugs to people who I really like, not people I first meet but who I really get to know after a few times like a nice acquaintance or something, but... I just freeze up emotionally and get self-conscious and uncomfortable somehow. Usually I do the handshake thing on the first meeting with someone but after that I'll usually just be friendly but no hugs. It takes special people to break down the hug barrier with me, heh.  I'm very envious of you and how you can even hug people close to you so easily. Even that is quite hard for me to do at times and can feel forced which hurts them even more than it does me... I have a lot of Scorp in my chart though so I think that adds to the trust issue thing I have going on, who knows.

I'm one of those "detached" Aquarians (I'm really not) and I LOVE hugs... Venus conjunct Jupiter in Pisces, too, though. Love hugs! Love 'em!IP: Logged |

As a venus conjunct mars square pluto person, my hugs have always been intense. Not from me, but from the other person. I feel shy to hug people, or if I do hug them, I like to make it a tight, short, happy squeeze with slight picking up and a big happy smile. I dont like to show passion or intensity..like to keep it breezy definitely. and its def from shyness. But the other person is the one who always makes it intense. I sure have had some memorable hugs....With family i do let loose though and am very huggy and touchy feely though  So i agree completely with the cancer description..slow to warm up to people but very huggy once they do. ------------------
