So I have all this darn virgo in my 6th house right? My sun, mercury, venus, saturn, and NN all in virgo falls in this house. Altho by placidus (which seems to fit me) leo rules my 6th house, but virgo is intercepted there too. I just looked and apparently my jupiter in leo also falls in my 6th house. Ok I can c how the energy is focused on 6th house issues. But I'm not sure what to make of jupiter and saturn there plus all the other planets. Jupiter expands while saturn restricts. ?? Its a contradiction to me. Can anyone give an explantion on this? Bc I'm confused by what the bigger picture is. IP: Logged |

I have a similar dynamic going on, except my planets are in Libra and Scorpio. And that is worse than having them in Virgo, because Virgo naturally rules the 6th house. Whereas the 6th house is way too "subordinate" for Scorpio energy, since it wants to dominate and not serve. I don't know how the 6th house stellium plays out in my life or my personality, though. I am totally out of touch with my daily life and have serious issues with responsibilites. I have my NN there too, just behind my DSC, so I understand that I need to learn huge lessons in that area of my life (taking care of my health, establishing healthy habits, having a work ethic, etc - all of which, at this point in my life, I don't have). My 6th house is also intercepted, which makes the energy even more difficult to express. I really don't like thinking about my 6th house stellium lol. It's boring to tears and stressful to me.

Haha I understand that lol 6th house stuff can b boring to me too. I get sick of routines altho I admit I need them. My gem moon just wants to roam free most of the time unchecked. I find that interested what u said. I didn't stop to consider natural rulers. Yeah the scorpio doesn't like serve that's for sure. It indeed is more of a virgo thing. Ugh I'm so sick of virgo. I didn't know that about intercepted houses and the energy there being more difficult to express. Thank u. I know very little about intercepted houses other than I have one. Or maybe I knew what u said and I forgot idk lol IP: Logged |

On astrodienst, Dana Gerhardt has written an in-depth piece on the 6th house, the very misunderstood and overlooked house of service.

Oh dear, I don't know what you do for a leaving, but the medical field and the healing arts should be your path. Don't fight it. IP: Logged |

Virgo Moon Libra Vx Libra NN Libra Plutoare all in my 6th House. I actually like this set up. It inspires me to care for others through hard work and devoted service. Getting to know a person is like collecting data and then using that data to nourish that person. As for the other planets, Life feels like a great work in learning humility and service to others. I feel as though I have been put here to serve and nourish humanity. I admit there is a looming fear of failure or "not getting the job done before I die", but that has softened as I have gotten older. These placements actually make me VERY picky when it comes to the job I take. If I don't feel like the job will advance me in being of service on a grand scale, I'll choose to go hungry (it can be annoying at times).

I'm a stay at home mom with 3 kids. For now anyways. I used to work in a health care setting yrs and yrs ago tho. I'm not sure the medical field is for me. Its one thing to take care of my kids when they r sick (and then I baby them ) but its a whole 'nother matter to work in the medical field. Define healing arts please. IP: Logged |

~So am I. I have been called snotty and/or lazy for this. For refusing to work at jobs I know r unsuitable for me or doing things I know would make me miserable.

Doux, I am in the same boat as you. I don't have a stellium in my 6th but it's ruled by Venus, intercepted and my Vertex/Uranus and NN are there but in Scorpio. If your NN is there then exactly what you said is what we are supposed to be doing. I can totally relate to your feelings about it though - it's about some level of day to day discipline and balance with health and work ethic but generally speaking if you choose a career in the service industry, you'll be following your Node IP: Logged |
