I've had two regressions with hypnotherapists - one on August 14th, 2010, and the other the Sunday before Thanksgiving, 2011. I have yet to check the transits for those days, but I'm curious as to what was going on planet-wise with my chart. I also met the second hypnotherapist (not directly), at a talk she was giving for a Coast to Coast group in Cleveland, on November 5th, I think it was - on the same Saturday that we had a bull loose in our area. That's right, a bull. It was running past our fence (twice, at least), across our front garden, down the road, and then back across our property a little while later. It looked at me as it was trotting along, a quietly-fretting man following him with stick, trying not to antagonize him, and at the same time to get him home.

Anyway, I know that the people at The Intention Experiment, look for atmospheric changes that they think will enhance peoples' ability to participate in certain energy work. I was wondering if there might be better transits under which to have a past-life regression and really get something from it, rather than snippets, or nothing at all. I became interested in this in 2004, but almost obsessed in October of 2009, when I found Memories of the Afterlife, at the bookstore, started to read in the cafe, and bought it - and that hasn't abated. (Saturn has been transiting my 12th, and Neptune has been all over my Moon/Venus/Nodes, Mars, uranus and ascendant.)

"That's right, a bull." Ha! Interesting. I wonder if you will find some interesting symbolism in there, in time.

Teasel, I tend to believe your access to past lives, during formal sessions, gets easier (and better) over time, as you get used to the process. I've also read this on the site of some practitioners. I would also think your level of comfort with and confidence in the practitioner would be relevant, of course.

I recently came across this article that seemed to find a link between Saturn transits to the moon's nodes and recalling past lives, albeit among a small sample of cases.
http://laurendelsack.wordpress.com/category/reincarnation-research/saturn- transit-to-the-north-node/

Here is an LL link with lots of node info:

North Node transits to Planets and Points:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/203916.html

In that info, it states regarding Neptune and Node contacts: "The intuition is stronger, more reliable and often right on target. These connections also show a time when inspiration acts as a catalyst to profound artistic accomplishments. This is a spiritual combination, and may coincide with the transcendence to a higher spiritual level through meditation, dream work or other altered states of consciousness."

Relating to the South Node and recalling the past, just last week I had a dream about a girlfriend I had 20 years ago (!), whom I haven't thought of in ages. It prompted me to spend the next two days thinking about her, looking her up online, and purging a lot of emotions that really caught me by surprise. Looking at what was going on for me astrologically, what I noticed was

--Transiting South Node exactly conj. Natal Saturn. (Indeed, I felt remorse over the ways I felt I was inadequate in the relationship);
--Tr. Mercury exactly conj. N. South Node (Moon was also possibly conj. that Mercury at the time) ...And funny--I found out she is now a journalist--ha!;
--Tr. Mars conj. Tr. Saturn.
(In addition, Tr. Venus exactly opposite Tr. Pluto, which is currently conj. my Venus.)

You are also prompting me to finally look at what transits were going on many years ago, when I began a long (over a year), intense period of past life recall. This was spontaneous, occurring while meditating.

Well, looking at the slower planets that would account for a long stretch, it looks like they were all involved. As one transit died out, another would kick in.

This began when I was 28, so I don't know if Saturn Return had anything to do with it. I had started meditating just a few months prior. It looks like T. Neptune conj. my NN might have kicked off that draw towards meditating.

When the recall started, Tr. NN was conj. my 8th house Moon. Tr. Pluto was conj. Tr. Chiron, and both were applying by 2-3 degrees to conj. my 12th house Sun. Perhaps relevant or not, Tr. Uranus trine N. Uranus.

I would get in the habit of regularly getting into a semi-conscious state, and "pressing" on some emotion I seemed to be carrying at the time, and seeing what came up. ...Several different lifetimes came up, over time, to be contemplated and healed. Lots and lots of tears were shed. (I can today still focus my attention on some feeling, and get to a past-life root at will, after having started the habit back then.)

A year later, and Pluto was still rolling back and forth over my Sun. Also perhaps relevant, Tr. Chiron was now conj. N. Mercury. ...Could this relate to the healing of a particular lifetime I was dealing with at that time, when I was regretting the impact the persona of that lifetime made with his words?

Hmm... Looking at a "formal" past life regression I had last year, I finally managed to tap into a contented, positive lifetime. It brought tears to my eyes, to see that I actually had a peaceful lifetime somewhere in there.

It looks like T. North Node was right between my Sun and my Jupiter/Ascendant at that time, which are four degrees apart. (Separating by 2 deg. from Sun, applying by 2 deg. to Jupiter/Asc.)

I just scheduled it when I "felt" it was a good time to finally do it. You can waste a lot of money, going to such sessions when the time just isn't right for it. I guess if I had limitless money to spend on such things, I might not have to have such a perspective, of waiting for the "right" time to get the most bang for my buck.

Well, I may be talking to myself at this point, but I had mentioned above that Tr. Chiron was conjunct my Mercury, a year after this intense period initially started. However, I am reading an article by Zane Stein in which he quotes Phil Sedgewick on the influence of the Galactic Center (the center of our Milky Way galaxy, located at about 26 Sag...and which happens to conjunct my Mercury).

Just look at this Sedgewick quote:

"the Galactic Center surges like a Roman candle of infrared energy. Emanations of infrared energy (IFR) blast down upon us and perform two primary functions on our awareness.

"First, IFR opens up the subconscious mind. This opening asks us to release and forget emotional trauma. Of course, this also means relinquishing your greatest emotional grievances. Perhaps this contributes largely to the popular metaphysical model of cellular reprogramming. Second, IFR blasts open the root chakra in the energy system. This chakra releases the old, regenerates our energy, and lifts us off our duffs with renewed inspiration and a sense of real progress."

AND

"The Galactic Center acts like a satellite dish, directing divinely inspired information straight to the potentially receptive gray matter of our brains. If you believe in God, this might be the voice you hear. Regardless, within this connection you have the ability to pull down wild information which you would otherwise have no way of knowing."

http://www.zanestein.com/galactic_center.htm

-------------------------------------------------

...So, Chiron conjuncting the GC could very well have had a lot to do with all that I was continuing to tap into (and heal!) at that time.

...And of course EVERYONE was experiencing that same influence then (in year 2000) ...At this moment, it seems curious to me that I haven't seen any research on this aspect, considering this amazing description of the GC. It seems like it might have been such a significant influence!

The GC looks like a very significant point to consider, when looking for aspects that might allow esoteric/ past life knowledge to come through.

Paul O. Hewit in this article calls the GC "the Sun of our Sun."
http://www.horary.com/hhcrl/galact.html

The Galactic Center was located at 26.10 degrees Sagittarius in 1950, and at 26.52 in 2000. So, approx. 26 Sag for most living people.

No, you aren't talking to yourself. I saw your posts and meant to respond, but it's been rough at home, and I've been distracted. I'll be back later, or over the next couple of days. Thank you so much for responding! I was afraid that no-one would.
