I think Neptune is only good when it's not stranded with big conjuction or ripped down with squares of deception. Easy-soft aspects of trine & sextile brings out the best in Neptunes lovely side

It's the Sun that's ganna feel the idealized energy more.

Synsatry is the energy when together.
Composite is what the relationship is ganna look like.

"don't just go off on this aspect"

Sun - Neptune close conjunction was in my aunt's composite with her husband. They lived in a marriage for 25 years, till he died. They were not happy, he had problems with alcohol, really. She always thought she could "save" him, but they argued so much because of that!

A savior complex! I believe it's Sun-Neptune job!

Isn't sun-neptune conjunction also more platonic than romantic?

It was a composite. I'll see what it was like in their synastry.

sun idealizes neptune, neptune deceives bc it doesnt want to let down or taint sun's glamorized view of him/her

in composite, it doesnt necessarily mean savior victim problems or alcohol problems, or anything. it just means a lot of idealization. You feel like you have a soul bond.

say neptune knows sun likes her, is it possible that neptune plays along well because she is aware that sun has feelings for her, therefore tries to play with her head. im confused.

Depends.

I'd take a look at the natal chart and transits, to see if there's some important Neptune aspects.

For example, if someone's Neptune is afflicted, then chances are, they'd "play along" and might deceive you.

Same goes for hard Neptune transits.

Overall they may be confused about the situation and not sure of their feelings, and therefore act in contradicting ways.

I don't think the intent here is to do harm or play games.

I really think it's just a confusing influence that makes it hard for things to settle and get stable.
