Does moving to a new locale really influence our natal chart?

My relocation chart for the place where i have been living for the past 15 years has a different rising sign and the planets fall in different houses.

Not sure how to interpret this, and not even sure it even matters, as my life events seem to be determined by my original natal chart.

In my natal chart, I am Pisces rising, but in my relocation chart, I am Capricorn rising. I like Capricorn rising better.

Anybody else with a different chart due to relocation? Does it add something different to your life experience?

Yup, that what it is. You put the same information: day and time of birth, but a different location. I got mine through Astro.com for free.

I don't feel the relocation chart at all. All my life events seem to relate to the natal chart. Am I the only one? Do relocation chart really matter? My inquiring mind is waiting for some of the experts to chime in.

In my case, I can feel some of the changes. For example:
- Like it was not enough I have Sun, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter in Leo, now I have a Leo Asc too, lol. I can feel that. I'm not the little mysterious thing I was, now I am a little tyrant, hehehe.
- I have never had so many financial problems as I have now (Saturn in 2nd instead of 10th).
- I have become much more assertive (Pluto in 3rd instead of 11th).
- There's always something unplanned happening in my house, usually something that requires money to fix or something that would throw our plans to the wind (Uranus in 4th instead of 1st).
- I've become less communicative and, for the most part, recluse (Mercury in the 12th instead of 9th).
- What I don't really feel is the Sun/Venus/Jupiter conjunction in the 1st instead of 9th, my Moon in the 10th (instead of 7th) and Mars in the 11th (instead of 8th).

^^^ Interesting. So you feel some of the new aspects, but you don't feel others. I wonder why this is so.

I just realized that in my relocation chart, my North Node falls in my 12th house, instead of falling in my house of career/midheaven. Could that be the reason why I didn't feel any career change or improvement when I went through a NN return recently?

NN in 12th house doesn't seem like a good place. Maybe I need to move!

Would your relocation chart be what you would be perceived as in that location or who it allow for other traits you posses to come to light. I ask this because I did a relocation chart for myself and I have a 9th house stellium now o____O

I don't know. I am trying to understand relocation charts myself. Apparently, this is not an area that many astrologers are familiar with, judging by the responses to this thread.

Maybe we just read the chart the same way as a natal chart.

^^^ Wouldn't mind doing that. I would be Cap rising instead of Pisces rising. That's a plus. Saturn would move from my 8th house to my 10th house. Yipeee!!!!!

My 8th house would now have Jupiter on the cusp, followed by Pluto, Mars, Sun and Venus, all in that house.

Nahhh.... This does not describe what has been happening to my 10th and 8th house at all since I moved to Cali.

Without even realizing it my asc would be opposite my current asc.
If I relocated a Scorpio asc
Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in 9th house
Moon, Eros and Psyche 7th house
Venus in 8th house
Mars in 6th house
Uranus and Neptune in 2nd
Saturn in the 3rd
MC in Leo
IC in Aquarius
NN in Aquarius 3rd
BML in 1st house
Pluto and Juno in 12th

Kinda odd I actually have a 7th house now.....

I dunno, ail, I have been living here for the past 15 years. How much longer does this relocation chart needs?

Perhaps there is even a time limit on things the same as with solar return charts. Maybe you given a certain set of astrological traits with a new location but it depends on how far you move away from your birth place and where you take advantage of those opportunities within the first few years of living there.

Capricorn rising is more stable, more realist, more executive like. Pisces rising can make someone so freaking delusional.

Bumping this thread because I just looked up the relocation chart for the place I'm living now (and lived before but had to move back home- Hawaii vs MN), and it's soooo fitting. I've always said I'm a "different person" when living here, and it definitely matches up

My ASC goes from Cancer in my natal to Aries... Which is a huge change but makes complete sense as I feel at home I'm a lot more timid, wouldn't do things to stand out of the crowd, to the point of feeling invisible, although a lot of that is my own doing since I often choose to retreat into my own isolated world... Here I don't have problems asserting myself,I enjoy socializing and yes being noticed lol, and I feel I am able to comfortably explore and share who I am as an individual, something I'm definitely not comfortable back home due to the way I was raised and culture in general there...

I also have Sun and Neptune conjunct my MC in Capricorn, as opposed to MC in Pisces in my natal chart. Maybe because I'm more confident, or because people have different standards of judging others here, but I feel I'm more comfortable seeing myself/being seen as "capable and stable" as opposed to wishy washy or detached from reality

I also have a lot of planets and NN in 9th and 10th house instead of 6th/7th in my natal. ( Sun, Saturn, NN, Venus in 10th... Mercury, Uranus, Neptune in 9th). I am much more focused on enjoying life, and (comfortably) working towards my goals here, rather than being overwhelmed and bogged down by the stresses of work and daily life, and a pre-occupation with not always healthy relationships at home.

Then there's Jupiter in my 4th house- I've said that Hawaii feels more like "home" to me than MN does. On a literal level I've also been blessed with relatively great places to live and warm and generous people to live with here. I feel the relationships I have here become like a family to me ( the positive, functional family I don't have at home lol)

Mars in 2nd house (rather than 11th in natal) Again, focused on/working towards stability and resources...

Anyway sorry this is so long, just found it really interesting

There is definitely something to a relocation chart, and how it changes things in your life. I moved from the southwest all the way to the northeast, and my life is VERY different. Almost like living two separate lives within one. In the southwest I had Saturn right on my IC. I felt repressed, withdrawn, drained of energy and felt like people around were always aloof with me. Now with living in the northeast I have my Sun exactly on my IC, and over here I feel more alive, sense of purpose, strong clarity, and have solid relationships. Not to mention the fact that now I am married, never thought anyone would want marry me, but it happened

Yes, yes, and yes.

On that note, I think moving also impacts your mental and physical health because I am sooo glad my move is finally over!

Well, this is interesting...

The town I worked in for 20 years is 10 miles south of my current residence (and birthplace). It's just enough to back me from Scorp rising to Libra...

Hmmmm....

Other places I've lived moved my Venus and NN into the 8th with my sun and merc... Change your location, change your destiny? Also moves Pluto into the 10th with moon and Uranus

One place I lived for a short while and hated did the above and also moved my moon to the 9th. Yuck! My Leo moon is supposed to shine in the 10th!

Gemini-Leo-Libra... Tempting. I'd still have the 8th house stuff... Hmmmm...

Lol, I actually moved locations a year ago (different states), just recently moved to a different apartment complex.

Honestly, nothing. I was really bummed and disappointed to see that.
