What kinds of conversations do Mercury in Aries people like? Do they like to talk about themselves a lot?

for those of you who have this placement..especially if you are also an Aries sun..what kinds of things do people have to talk about in order for you to become fully engaged in conversation?

I'm not much help, all I can really tell you is that my 13 year old daughter has this placement and she is pretty blunt at times, as in no tact, and she has an awesome sense of humour, but she can find inappropriate things funny sometimes. She can also be quite funny herself.
She is Scorpio Asc conjunct Moon and Sun in Pisces. I see the Mercury most of all though.

I'm an Aries with Mercury in Aries!

What kind of conversations do I like...well, my Mercury is in the 11th house. So I like things about the world, an analytical approach, philosophical, weird things, anything but the boring "What did you do today" conversations. If you want me to care about personal things then it has to be major things. Revelations, epiphanies, starting a new regimen, etc. I like people who get to the point.

Mercury in Aries is very direct and to the point. You can talk to them about anything and they love any kind of debate. Sometimes they will force it out before realizing it. I'm a Leo Mercury and Aries Mercury is a great compliment to Leo mercury.

That's true, I have a Cancer/Cancer friend who has a Leo mercury and I swear if he didn't have that we wouldn't have lasted as long as we have being friends. Love Leo moons and Mercuries! All day errday.

I always have problems with people having mercury in aries.They are too blunt for me.Only time I dont have problem with them is when I shut my mouth and nod my head to everything they say.Even then after sometime they start saying“You are so quiet,very boring”.

Well it's funny you say that, because I was reading this thread prior to your post going "I don't think I really like talking to Mercury in Pisces people." I'm SURE there are a lot I can get along with...I can get along with anyone. However, Mercury in Pisces people (that I interact with) really tend to never understand me, they make me feel stupid, and they say insensitive things. I guess it's a two-way street between our two signs specifically.

quentin is an aries sun too if i remember right but of course aspects and house placement count as well. (gregory peck is another sun/ merc aries to contrast with quentin) i do think the same way.. that even if i'm on the red carpet, in black tie, wearing a suit or whatever don't u fuking think i won't serve you a beatdown just because it is beneath me. it is not!

people talking sh!t really drive us mad but from friends/ lovers you can be blunt as you wish. we can take what we dish and i won't love you less or be less of a friend to you because of a spat no matter how hurtful it gets.
