I've been wondering what elements in a chart would gravitate a personality, to be pushy? Not strictly in a bossy sense, more in the sense of a person who doesn't take no for an answer, and imposes their will on others?

There is a person in my life that is very very pushy, and it irritates me so much. I'm not pushy at all, more of a live and let life person, which is why it drives me crazy to feel pushed around/controlled.

Anyways, this person has tunnel vision, it is all their way or the highway. This person wants to be more involved in my life. Instead of developing a bond and waiting to gradually be invited more into things, this person tries to just come in and take control.

Example: This person will make excessive calls to me, and if I don't answer, will keep calling and calling and then just show up on an unannounced visit, after leaving a message of "hey I'm on my way to stop by". Drives me very nuts, as being pushy is not the way to go with me.

Anyways, not sure as to what elements in the chart may point to this, other than I don't think it'd be mutable energy.

Definitely not mutable. Heavy cardinal energy. Cardinal signs are the initiators of the zodiac, and thus desire to run things, people, relationships, situations etc...They give the "push" to their environments, so they can be seen as "pushy".

I've known Aries men to do this, no offense to those who know their boundaries but I've dealt with this with an Aries sun/moon/mercury and observed this with other Aries men.

I think we all can be a little pushy depending on the situation, and it's not really related to a particular sign or aspect.

My brother is like that. His sun in cap squares mars in aries. He has no problem imposing himself in any type of situation.Even I am not as imposing as him.Bad thing is he is just 8 years old, hope he tones it down a bit as he grows up.I think tunnel vision can be attributed to mercury/pluto,pluto conj. asc, mercury in aries, mercury in scorpio.Cardinal signs are imposing.Lot of planets in angular houses(1,4,7,10) may also make one imposing.

I'm going to have to figure out the birth time for the asc. My guess from the overall personality would be Scorpio, but the person does have Venus/Saturn in Scorpio sq Pluto which might be giving off that strong Pluto energy.

I checked the chart and there are five cardinal placements, including Mars. Initially I was taken by surprise at the level of pushiness and persistence, as hadn't associated these traits w an Earth mutable sun. On closer look, it seems the sun is the only mutable placement, unless the birth time shows a mutable asc.

I know most people can be pushy, but this level is like Marie on everyone loves Raymond, and much of same reasons. This man is like the smothering mother archetype, coming from a place of wanting desperate center of attention w offspring that are very independent and resist being bounded like glue.

As an observer it drives me nuts but at the same time, trying to understand the motivation and be patient. lol it is tough though as my fiery planets resist being pushed and feeling obligated. When people push me too far my initial reaction is to rear my horse self into a position of protest

Fixed and Cardinals are both pushy.

This is why i say all Mutables should stick together.
