I'm trying to make sense of arabic parts. What they are, and how they fit into my natal chart. How big is their influence? For example, noendpress.com calculated my "destiny" arabic part as being in Aquarius at 10.57 degrees. Aquarius rules my 9th house. So...working with groups is my destiny? Groups and spirituality, becoming a youth leader of some sort. I'm confused both about arabic parts and now about the 9th house, so if anyone could clarify either or both - that'd be great. You look for arabic parts that hit other's placements in synastry for example.
Arabic parts are kind of like midpoints. Personally I don't use arabic parts for mine chart I use it one my mother's and father's because I found some direct correlation that way ex. I used the son-in-law arabic parts on my grandmother's chart and my father's info was there. IP: Logged |

Arabic parts are interesting because once you have the methodology down, you can create your own custom formulae.The orb is small, I would say no more than 2°. I don't use the parts in synastry, and stick to natal. I've found them most useful when timing events with transits, SA, and progressions. Vertex transits are particularly potent. The formula for Part of Destiny is 10H + Sun - Moon [reverse for night chart]. I would first check any planets you have in orb [Sun and Moon can have a wider orb, especially if aspecting]. If a planet that is part of the formula tightly aspects in natal or transits, you can consider that very important. The 9H Uranian flair can indicate you will be known for individuality, erratic beliefs, your unusual, unique, and/or progressive philosophical views, your love of objective fairness, or perhaps as just a lifelong computer nerd. You may provide sudden inspiration in others. The effect is like a miniature MC. Not so much as in career [that would be Part of Vocation and Status, 10H + Moon - Sun reversible], but how the world and the people around you will be affected by you.
