So, I know that the 10th house has to do with career and reputation. Do certain aspects to the MC give you a certain kind of reputation? I have Pluto square MC, Mercury square MC, Venus trine MC, and Mars sextile MC. I heard somewhere that Mercury square MC makes people talk badly about you. Is this true? I have Sun square midheavan
Venus trine Midheaven
Mars Conj midheavan jupiter sextile midheaven neptune conj midheaven im not really sure what my rep is....but i think some people are afraid of me....smh IP: Logged |

Trine Moon
Square Mars, Pluto(large orb) and Juno
Opposite Mercury (large orb)Juno square MC- My ambition for my career/education overrides relationships Mercury opposite MC -The way communicate what I want to express is at odds with what I want to present to the world or the way I want to be seen publicly. At times I can be very shy and/or have a reserved matter that make people have a quiet or passive perception of myself but my personality is actually quite the opposite. Mars square MC - This comes in handy when I am pushed to far at work, there are times when people think that they can walk over me because of my reserved nature and when attacked I forgo diplomacy and go straight in to sort of "instinctual survival mode" I go for the jugular and my combative side comes out; not physically combative. Sun trine MC=personal identity is well integrated with your sense of what is expected of you by the society in which you liveMoon sextile MC=choosing careers that are very susceptible to the whims of the masses Jupiter quintile MC= ? Saturn trine MC= Professional public conduct Pluto opposite MC = Power struggles with authority figures
These are the things I could find about these aspects. They're definitely true from my standpoint. I can't really tell you what kind of reputation I have. One friend told me that I'm generally perceived as "tough" .

Mine sucks lolMC in Sagittarius so everyone thinks I am a wildman lol and 10th house ruler in the 5th, so everyone thinks I am childish  Also mercury and mars square MC. ------------------

Vertex Trine Midheaven You draw people and situations to you that help you gain prestige and allow you to express your talents. You probably had a positive role model in one or both parents. Your own abilities are allowed to have beneficial expression. Changes in your position in the world are happy ones. This is my best one but my other positive ones are: Sun trine MC Jupiter trine MC I'd say these are responsible for my great reputation on the job, so I think your theory is true! However, I've also got these to worry about: Uranus trine MC Moon opposition MC The Uranus trine makes me restless if I can't try something new. I always want to bend the rules to find the best way of accomplishing the task. This raises the eyebrows of my co-workers from time to time, but sometimes I get lucky and stumble on something great.  My moon opposition is another hard aspect. I feel have to always try to prove myself, especially if I make a mistake. I have to make sure I don't too emotionally attached to decisions I make on the job. On the other hand,this is probably a good thing. If I didn't have this aspect, I'd probably be a very lazy person. How you act and how people 'see' you, is the ascendant. Not the midheaven. Midheaven is your CAREER.I'm an Aquarius ascendant with Uranus quintile my ascendant, Jupiter-Saturn trine it, and a few oppositions to it from the sun and mercury. Neptune forms a minor hard aspect to my ascendant too. Usually I'm perceived as pretty quirky at best or weird in a negative sense at worst, depending on who you ask. I think the oppositions from my sun and mercury, along with the Neptune aspect makes me hard for some people to read - they get the wrong idea and project things onto me and don't see me clearly (Neptune), so I get a few silly people who think I'm fake or hiding something. My MC in Cap. Makes a couple of nice little sextiles to Neptune and Chiron, but everything else, blech. Squares my n.Sun, Jupiter and Mars. All those in the 12th House. Maybe that's why I get blamed for things I have nothing to do with?  just a guess.IP: Logged |

The MC is how the greater society sees you, as I understand it
The ASC is how people in your everyday life see you. That can be two different things.
The MC is more of your destiny/purpose in society/ career/ the greater world.The ASC refers to your more limited, smaller world.
