I know an Aries sun cancer moon who looks a lot like him.

I think when he got older he looked more like a cancer. But bc he seems really shy and his face has fine features and his eyes are expressive, i would guess it's cancer.

Alrighty, thnks for the confirmation of a cancer/pisces asc!

I would think if he had libra asc he would come off as more superficial and into himself, as well as slightly more intense

I've sometimes wondered about Aquarius Rising for Broderick because of the slope of his face, his mouth, and that posture of his.

I once seriously considered Gemini Rising, because that would give him the same Rising/Moon pairing as Bruce Springsteen (whom at times he resembles facially). But with Sun in Aries, that makes it less likely (he just doesn't hit me as a male version of Rosie ODonnell or Madelyn Murray Ohare).

Looks a bit Bruce-esque:

Burt Reynolds....hmmm...no way he's a cancer rising, i looked him up. He looks like an earth rising! Cap or taurus andeaning towards taurus.
I looked him up on astrotheme and he has aqua sun and libra moon. It says gemini asc for him, but maybe the time's a bit off and it's actually taur. I'm positive it cant be cancer or gem though.

Eh, Mel Gibson is a cap sun, so he's gonna be volatile no matter what :P
All cap suns I know are.

The obnoxious volatility of Reynolds and Mel Gibson (both Cancer Rising/Moon in Libra) is remarkably similar.

Also, one of the reasons I used to think Matthew Broderick had a Cancer Rising is that, in youth, they have a certain kind of a baby face (think a very young Jerry Lewis).

In their younger days, back when Mel Gibson and Burt Reynolds still had their looks, they, too, had the kind of baby face specific to many Cancer Risings.
