You guys ever notice actors playing roles that mirror their natal charts almost to the T?

Austin Powers:

quote:

Meyers has Mars conjunct Ascendant
He plays both Austin and Dr. Evil
His Sun is in Gemini
Around his neck he wears a charm for Mars

As I mentioned in one of my blog posts, I think Natalie Portman's character in "Black Swan" really played on her personal planets.

Her character is forced to play dual roles in her ballet show (Natalie's Sun and Mars in Gemini). She is a die-hard perfectionist (Virgo Moon) and has trouble letting go of control (Scorpio Rising). Her Rising is also displayed in the overall dark, heavy content of the film. And her mother plays a strong influence in her life and she seems exceptionally sensitive (Mercury and Venus in Cancer).

Don't think it's a coincidence that this was probably her best performance to date and won her an Oscar.

Yes, I totally agree with this.

Angelina Jolie's oscar winning role of Lisa in Girl, Interrupted represented a lot of her natal chart placements.

Moon-Mars represents emotional voltaility and explosiveness, especially from the conjunction being in Aries. Lisa was classified as a sociopath but really exhibited more borderline traits than anything else. She was intense and charismatic emotionally, but could have extremely violent and unpredictable outbursts that were physically harmful to those around her [Aries conjunction].

Mercury in Gemini in the 11th shows intense wit and sometimes eccentric thinking. Lisa was very witty and charming, typical of Gemini and Aquarius influences in one's natal chart, and she could talk her way out of anything.

Speaking of speaking - Lisa's verbal tirades were so dark, cool and calculated that they made another disturbed character named Daisy commit suicide. In Angie's chart, she has Mercury quintile Mars and trine Uranus, showing odd and very heated, domineering [Aries Mars in 9H] thinking. The cold influences of 11H Gemini Mercury combined with Uranus and Mars influences made Lisa verbally dangerous.

Finally, Lisa's deepest but truest desires to be cared for and worried about, to be needed (also represented by her childish baby bangs hairstyle), her obsessive compulsions like burning herself with cigarettes and, as we learn in the book but can see by her thin frame, not eating, is shown by Angie's natal Moon-Pluto opposition and Moon square Saturn. Moon-Saturn square shows where one could imagine she is 'sociopathic' or emotionless but her intense emotionality by Moon-Pluto is clearly underneath the restrictions.

Every role is basically one big ol' celebration of the self.

I'm watching Iron Man...

Yet, another film that seems to validate this.

Robert downey is an Aries. Sun is exalted in Aries.

Iron Man's power is coming from that device he made that happens to lay right over his heart chakra which (the heart) is ruled by Leo (the Sun).

Am i just reading too far into these things?

Medical astrology posits the association of each sign of the zodiac with parts of the body, and was already mentioned by Marcus Manilius (1st century AD) in his epic poem (8000 verses) Astronomica. The signs of the zodiac were believed to preside over the parts of the body, covering the body from head (Aries) to toe (Pisces), as follows:[2]

Aries - head, face, brain, eyes
Taurus - throat, neck, thyroid gland, vocal tract
Gemini - arms, lungs, shoulders, hands, nervous system, brain
Cancer - chest, breasts, stomach, alimentary canal
Leo - heart, chest, spine, spinal column, upper back
Virgo - digestive system, intestines, spleen, nervous system
Libra - kidneys, skin, lumbar region, buttocks
Scorpio - reproductive system, sexual organs, bowels, excretory system
Sagittarius - hips, thighs, liver, sciatic nerve
Capricorn - knees, joints, skeletal system
Aquarius - ankles, calves, circulatory system
Pisces - feet, toes, lymphatic system, adipose tissue
