I like to pick your minds and see if I can come up with practical applications for the charts.
With our threads on the Angles, this is my conclusion.( Of course, in some charts it may not play out due to modifying factors, as is always the case when you single out one part of the chart)A person admire the TRAITS of the sign on the DSC. The person may not be attracted to the actual sign( and is not,often) However, those traits are ones the person looks up to, in others, and tries to gain for himself. Please, talk about your DSC, with respect to this.

I can vouch. I've met people with their sun in conjunction to pluto (conjuncts my desc) and they have really resonated with me.I'm not particularly attracted to scorpio's but have found one with the conjunction to pluto that worked well for me. Otherwise, not much scorpio (my desc) action in my life. IP: Logged |

virgo dscalways admired people who could keep my head on the ground when i lose connection to reality ^^ practical people who can take care of the little things in life...or those that i accidently burn... are very attracrive to me althought there is nothing i hate more than criticism 
as im already aelf-aware enough i dont need another voice on my shoulder telling me what i did wrong although i dont belive that the dsc sign itself is what we are attracted to i still have a LOT of virgos around me XD and i seem to warm to them fairly easy....even the wierd ones IP: Logged |

I agree that people are not attracted to the actual sign as I never have been attracted to Aries and that is my DSC but I admire the traits a great, great deal.------------------

I am a cancer ascendant and thus capricorn descendant. I do find capricornian traits to be attractive. Strong, ambitious men who are honest about what they want appeal to me.
Yet I am also a cap sun, moon and mercury and my rather tight moon-mercury conjunction sits right on my descendant. So I am often led to think that I actually act very capricornian in my personal relationship and association.
I am not sure if this is only specific to me because I have planets on my descendant, but I've often wondered if the dsc wasn't somehow more about how we act in close relationship (and thus because of projection what we seek in others too).
Aside from this, I've never really been attracted to caricorn men, and I don't have many capricorn women as friends. IP: Logged |

yes, that seems to hold true. I have never even dated an Aries and not had any female Aries friends which did not end in a fight  ------------------

Yes I do admire my DSC (leo). My cousin has a stellium in leo and I admire how she attracts attention everywhere and how everyone just loves her. When I was younger, I was always jealous of her but now I admire her more. I don't like attracting attention, I prefer standing in the background =) IP: Logged |

This doesn't apply for me. My DC is cancer. I much more admire my MC libra and IC Aries. And the highest point in my chart is uranus and it is conjunct my MC. I see people with these personalities as attractive in particular I admire Aries/libra women. I LOVE my cancer daughter and my cancer cousin but have had very few people in my life who are cancer period either male or female.  IP: Logged |

My dsc is Scorpio I have always had that one scorpio in my group of friends that will just do anything and is comfortable being as non-conventional as possible and willing and able to say anything that comes to mind which is what I kind love LOL. IP: Logged |

Not necessarily. I don't have a Leo-fetish, and I'm not in love with or in awe of Leo energy. But I've always had a thing for Scorpio and Pisces energy, almost exclusively. Scorpio is on my ninth house cusp, and Pisces is on the 2nd. Then again, my anti-vertex is in Pisces so that might explain part of that. IP: Logged |

I have Gem DESC and I love Gemini's! Almost every person I've ever dated has had some Gemini in their chart. I also happen to have Venus in Gem in the 7th H, which may add to the Gem love and also my mumsy is a Gemini Sun and I love and admire her so much!IP: Logged |

I have Gemini on my Descendant. I can say I admire the traits of Gemini people. But it seems I more often seek out or really, get Virgo influenced people since it's my Moon sign, and my Moon is also my 8H ruler. I love people who are witty and like deep conversations, talking about darker topics...probably from my Mercury falling in Scorpio. IP: Logged |

I agree on this my ascendant is aquarius , so dsc is leo, i admire people that are selfconfident, their enthusiasm in general i feel i would admire fire signs traits in general , im almost fire void ... my only fire planet is lol... actually my sun ... wich is in leo but in a 0'02 angle , or something like that, so yeah i would like some more fire presence in my chart. My aspirational traits are my DSC traits--Aries. I admire people who will say things straight out and stand up for what they believe.I am a Libra ASC, so it is not easy for me, but I am trying to do so. ------------------

My DSC is Gemini.
Do I admire them? I don't know. Let's see if I can answer this by the end of this post.I do admire the air sign ability of being able to rationally access a situation, stepping away from pettiness and the cloud of too much emotional judgement, but in some cases, you need your emotions to make a decision, though not in all cases and situations. Anywho, Geminis have this ability. That's why many of them are multi-talented or have MENSA level intelligence, and some are intuitive if blessed with Cancer, Virgo or Scorpio in their chart. And I love the creativity of this sign, and their ease in attracting attention, something I should be good at as a Leo sun but will be honest: I suck booty at it. I turn people off more than I turn them onto me. But then again, I find Gemini-influences to be flakes sometimes. Nothing harsh meant by this statement...it's just being to heavily fixed myself, I don't even think about flaking on people. I try to honor my commitments than back out on them or spontaneously change them. They (Gemini-influenced) have too heavy a discomfort with feelings they perceive to have a negative vibe, with their own feelings and those of others. Like sadness. I love my Gemini moon friends, with their Moons in my 7th. It's just... I don't know. I should learn that not everyone expresses their love in the way that I do. They have a detached way of showing it that leaves me feeling a bit icy. Like they show it, but it's like it isn't like the fire sign outpouring of hot love and praise that my 8th house Leo Venus and 5th house Aries moon desires. I still need to get over that. But they are also funny and intelligent, you can't pass that up. I like Gemini Suns, Gemini Moons, never met a Gemini Martian and not a fan of Gemini Venus, as far as ROMANCE goes. But yes, I meet the Gemini-influenced and they have me going for hours. So yes. There are traits I admire, but do not wish to emulate them to the fullest. IP: Logged |

Sag DSC, Neptune in the 7th. Never, ever dated or fell in love with either a Pisces or a Sag but all my serious relationships are (or at least have been up until this point) with men who have a Sag ASC (usually conjunct Neptune) or a Pisces ASC.Definitely need someone sensitive, empathic, adventurous, open minded and who loves to travel. Being spiritually inclined would be a super bonus. But I can't see myself with either a Pisces or a Sag to be honest. I like Scorpio, Virgo and Taurus energy the best with a little bit of cardinal sign action mixed in there. And a little bit of Leo is good too. Just no more Cancer Mars.
