I'm surprised no one draws any attention to the sun-sun conjunction in a synastry ...there's no single thread in this forum about it !!
Am I the only one who finds it the most powerful ??!

S conjunct S

The Sun represents energy surrounding the ego and the will of individuals.

The importance of this aspect depends more on the aspects (if any) that are linked to this one.

If it is a stand alone aspect, then it is considered a complimentary aspect to the union. Both egos of the individuals are in unison to their purpose. Activities surrounding the union move in the direction both parties want it to move in.

If this aspect is linked with stressful aspects i.e. (S conjunct S; S square/opposition Mars; S square/opposition Mercury), then the Sun conjunction energizes the stressful aspect(s). And the tension becomes obvious, depending on the other planets involved.

The same holds true for S conjunction S linked with the easy aspects of sextile/trine. Again, and in this case, activities run very well and efficiently.

If the S conjunct S is linked with a combination of stressful and easy aspects, then the union will reflect periods of those "yeah!" moments and periods of those "oh no." movements.

It didn't work with my same sun sign:squares my planets in cap and it falls in my 12th house- i really don't need another stressful aspect, already have mine
The guy I dated Libra sun, venus in scorpio, mars in leo, moon in cap: Has anyone seen two libras (couple) trying to decide where to go out?? "So,where do u want to go today?"i mean everytime!! No imagination, just a lazy a22! I had to plan everything because he didn't feel like to! for me Suns conjunct in synastry is a no.

No, try having their venus the same sign as your sun, and your sun the same sign as their venus.

That's fun.

Edit: sorry I misread the title of this lol...

I actually have never experienced sun tightly conjunct sun in synastry except with friendships, but I do agree there is an automatic sense of familiarity and comfort
