Ceri..
Your friend asked the question? If thats the case I would say she is still the Asc... She is the one asking the question, the person that physically draws the chart doesnt change who is asking the question..
If you ask the question..
Will my friend ...... (blah blah)
Then you use H11

From my understanding "technically" the chart should be drawn up as the time the astrologer received and understood the question. But most people use the time the question was asked. I think this way is more modern.
If your friend asked you then you are are astrologer.

The Horary chart is calculated for the time the astrologer receives and understands the question. The matter must be of personal significance and meaning for the person asking the question, who is called the Querent. There must be a sincere and valid need for the answer.

I always cast a chart for the time and place that I first understand the question, even if the querent first asked the question at a different time in a different place. This is the only way I can be certain of an accurate "birth time" for the question. It makes sense, of course, that the better time for which to erect a chart would be the moment when the question is first asked . . . so experiment. I find that more often than not, at least as far as divination is concerned, consistency of procedure is often more important than precisely which procedure you favor.

The First House
The querent (person asking the question). The querent's general vitality and life force. It may also describe the querent's appearance or temperament. It is considered the 'ship that you sail in'.
