This speech sums it up, perfectly: quote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXn1zJa0K8c
This entire show is pure Pluto in Scorpio.. The first two seasons are GOLD!! http://www.hulu.com/watch/259968 Are any other Pluto's in Scorpio connecting to it as much as i am? ------------------ "To PLAY is human. To Rewind is divine." IP: Logged |

I watched a couple of episodes and dropped it. I have nearly a zero-ish scorpio energy, that's why I couldn't relate. I feel it's more of Uranus in Scorpio ? IP: Logged |

^ the entire cast has Pluto in Scorpio..I think uranus in scorpio is the climatic effect of the "sexual liberation". During that time, everyone had their world turned upside down when the aids epidemic reared it's head... After uranus went through Scorpio, is when pluto entered scorpio.. Shortly after is when i think mortality and death became a big deal. Two different energies... I think the show is quite the manisfestation of the pluto in scorpio generation. Iwan rheon (the main character as the series goes on) i think is a taurus with the pluto opposition. IP: Logged |

The Pluto in Scorpio generation is always bragging about that placement and getting worked up into a lather over it, they think they have a monopoly on all things "Scorpio", because of it and that they're the deepest, toughest kids on the block. But truthfully the most Scorpionic, intense people I've encountered don't have Pluto in that sign. With the P in S generation it's like...it's all surface. The intensity is there, but only on the outside in terms of how they express themselves and emote, it's very surface-level. I've noticed that with other placements it runs deeper and they're more genuinely Plutonian, particularly with the Pluto in Virgo generation, who is genuinely bonkers. Mentally I always compare it to like...to me Pluto in Scorpio kids are like emos who go around wearing heavy black eyeliner and screaming and crying and saying their lives are nothing but depth and pain...even though they live in the upper-class suburbs and their daddy is an investment banker. Pluto in Virgos, I have stories about them that would turn your hair white - THAT'S how Scorpionic THEY are. They'd chew up these Pluto in Scorpio kids and crap them out the other end, truthfully. For the record, I'm not Pluto in Virgo or Scorpio, but Libra. We just sit in the middle and quietly observe all this with a 5h1t-eating grin. IP: Logged |

Meh. His speech doesn't sound like anything new or original. Early 20 somethings since the dawn of time have used the excuse that they are young and stupid to do young and stupid things. Don't think that's probably ever going to change dramatically. Don't know about the rest of the show but if that one speech is the premise... Meh. I'm just shy of Pluto in Scorpio (last few degrees of Libra) but I've got the Saturn in Scorpio. I generally don't think that screwing lots of people is actually a new or progressive viewpoint. quote: Mentally I always compare it to like...to me Pluto in Scorpio kids are like emos who go around wearing heavy black eyeliner and screaming and crying and saying their lives are nothing but depth and pain...even though they live in the upper-class suburbs and their daddy is an investment banker. I have pluto in scorpio and I'm nothing like what you've said , plus, how can you make a planet in its natural sign look so bad ?! from what I've learned, pluto is the most powerful in scorpio and leo (.) And don't forget that the virgo generation had uranus-pluto conjunction, sure that will enhance and rev things up.

lol well that's one hell of a generalization. plenty can be made of pluto in virgo as well, along with pluto in libra. but i'll keep the social and economic issues outside of the forum. IP: Logged |

Anyway, the show has won 8 bafta's while it aired on e4 and it quickly became the most watched series on hulu. The writing is great and the cast delivers. There was a cast change starting season 3 and the show went directly downhill. Still, if anyone has caught the first two that has pluto in scorpio, how appealing did you find the first two seasons to be? IP: Logged |

Just an observation: http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1216 this link has a list with decans and duads- Pluto is still a planet and its placement in a sign will colour the individuals with a certain shade. Pluto in the first decan of a scorpio( the oldest of the pluto scorpio natives) will be the most scorpionic(especially those with a pluto from 0 to 2 degrees in scorpio-(scorpio duad and decan). Then it's the piscean side of pluto in scorpio( from 10 to 20 degrees) and then the last- cancer (20 to 30 degrees), wich is represented by the youngest natives. If I calculated well, each decan will occupy four years or so. So pluto IS different in a sign even if it moves slowly. In scorpio the first decan is martian, the second neptunian and the third lunar. http://www.astroroom.com/scorpio-decans.html : i noticed most emos are very young, born with a pluto in the last decan of scorpio, or on the scorpio-saggitarius cusp in a wide orb. The duads of the last decan are from cancer to libra- four signs that in my opinion are the whiners of the zodiac( no offense intended, i have placement in these signs and i know ) It's stupid to say pluto in scorpio is emo. The pure scorpio sign, unaltered by aspects or incompatible placements will be a survivor not self-destructive as many emos are. : We should study more the adults of the pluto scorpio generation to see their progress and evolution. The scorpio is the sign of death and rebirth after all. Who knows, those like the emos, might one day, overcome their pain and transform it into positive energy. ------------------ cause i'm bored, that's why IP: Logged |

I'm of the pluto-scorpio generation and I loved this show. Well, the first two seasons anyway. I could never get past the first episode of season three. I mean, no Nathan?! Anyways, I never really thought about it as a reflection of solely this generation. I think it's reflective of everyone's time as a young person. Sure, the show ties in modern conventions a bit, but the whole "being young, reckless, beautiful, and not giving a s***" is relevant to anyone at this age at some point, at least I think so. I liked this show, but, honestly, this scene did make me cringe a little. I thought it was cheesy, lol. Also, it's irresponsible to make such generalizations about Pluto in Scorpio, ESPECIALLY since it is a generational planet. I don't know your personal experiences, but maybe you should try being more open as you could find some genuinely interesting, strong, and insightful people with this placement. IP: Logged |

Really? What about all the killing? The blood? Zombie cheerleaders? Lol.... I loved that speech.. Especially because it leads to something you don't expect but that's just my take on good cinema. I figured it had to be a scopio/pluto thing because i know someone who doesn't have it and they see no taste or humor in any dead cheerleader (even if there are other bits that are normal or hilariously funny) but here we are, pluto in scorpio, celebrating it on tv. As far as the last paragraph you typed addressing a few posts; i find no reason for anyone to acknowledge, much less comment on it (i'm not disagreeing with you) simply because it's very easy for someone sitting on the fence to shout opinions and orders yet when it comes down to it, who's out on the field? It would be nicely time to remember now that the scales are about balance and equality; they cannot find what they, themselves are not. Simple. IP: Logged |

Ima 0 degree pluto in Scorpio. Emo was indeed before my time. "Rome is burning, he said, as he poured himself another drink. Yet, here I am knee deep in another river of pussy. Here it comes, she thought. Another self indulgent, whiskey soaked, diatribe about how ******* great everything was in the past. And how all us poor souls born too late to see the Stones at - wherever, or snort the good coke that they had at Studio 54 - well, we all just missed out on practically everything worth living for. And the worst part was, she agreed with him. Here we are, she thought, at the edge of the world - the very edge of western civilization and all of us are so desperate to feel something... anything... that we keep falling into each other and ******* our way toward the end of days.
