I was personally always drawn to it but didn't start exploring it until a few months ago. Years ago an aunt of mine just threw her palm in my face & asked me for a reading. I was like, uhm no, why would you ask me that & her answer was, well you're a Pisces so that means you're psychic! Clearly I'm not but I appreciate her enthusiasm in me.Any thoughts? IP: Logged |

LOL Sand! I have a friend who whenever she gets involved with a man, has problems in the relationship, breaks-up, makes up, etc., she ALWAYS turns to astrology. I'm not talking actual charts & the study of it, I'm talking about hitting up the botanica stores in the Hispanic 'hoods & having her cards read for $30, only for the "Lord" aka the fat man in the robe, tell her that someone placed a hex on her so for $500 he can remove it. She was literally going to hit up the ATM for the cash! I yelled at the guy in Spanish & told him where to shove it. I too used to consistently read the horoscopes in Glamour & Cosmo every month & I swear they were repeated every few months! Once I actually had my natal chart done via the wonderful site recommendations here, I began to get a better picture of who I am. I want to say that about 90% of it I was able to relate to & understand, somewhat. Creepy! IP: Logged |

Hah I got you all beat! I got into Astrology at like age 8! My mom was into astrology and told me that I was a Leo Sun and she bought me many lion stuffed animals and decorations and a few astrology books. I guess you could say she encouraged me. I grew up very bohemian with a single cool, young hip mom. IP: Logged |

I got into it around 12 years old when I wanted to connect with my dad. He got into astrology because my older brother died and my dad wanted to make sense of it all. My dad didn't take that much comfort in astrology and eventually he lost all his faith in anything spiritual and locked himself up in the study without talking to me or my mom much. As a result, I took up astrology as my way of holding his hand.IP: Logged |

i was always intrigued with the idea of astrology, i guess natal placements in my chart may explain me being drawn to the ideas of something immaterial, beyond our senses, has some kind of higher power. it started when i was young, the idea of chinese astrology, star signs, i just loved the idea. i wanted to know what it would say about me. of course it was an open minded thing, not a naive decision to believe it would be a fact. it was in 2007 i think i began to look into astrology further, it started with sun signs and compatibility, i wanted to know who or why i would be compatible with someone. then i eventually got onto Lindaland, a place discussing and explaining the more complicated things i bumped into along my journey of discovery in astrology: Planets. 'houses'? i never understood those things, i stayed here since 2008 and learned a lot. thats my story IP: Logged |

I was about 8 years old and I found my mothers book, and guess what!! it was Linda Goodman's Sun Signs. (I still have the book with its torn papers and writing all through it.) Anyway, I remember being fascinated by it. This followed with me in 8th grade in my YES Catholic school deciding to do a science project on astrology. I created a test for people to take where they would say what their sun sign was and then answer questions to see if they matched up to their Sun sign. I was forever intrigued after that. And I have studied for years on and off. In the last 6 years, I have done several intuitive astrological readings for people on donation. I don't always know how I access the information I do with someone's chart since my knowledge is not that of someone who understands so much more than I do about the chart, but I am usually very accurate. I often leave studying it for months at a time to then return with a greater fervor and surprisingly deeper knowledge and integration then before. I am a trained therapist and work as an academic counselor with students at the community college level. But I think that I will eventually end up doing readings as a part time job if not more than that.IP: Logged |

I became intrigued with astrology just a few years ago approximately 4 to 5 years ago and its been such a bizzare and mystical experience. It changed the way I "saw" people, I had a completely different perception(s) now and I'm greatful for it. To a great deal its a study in behavior and character and ofcourse personality. What a blessing. Back then I didn't know about ascendants and moons and what have you and I was in a forum and some stranger coaxed me to check myself out in this manner and i was simply intrigued and there began my journey.IP: Logged |

I already knew all about sun signs but then this Pisces girl told me something about a moon sign. Right away I looked up on it and that's how it developed. ^_^ This was like 2 years ago.IP: Logged |

I was less than a teenager and I was looking to understand myself. I always went to this girls/kid's site called zodiacgirls or something like that. I was always sort of aware of sun signs, and I always thought I was a Cancer until I discovered my time of birth and astro.com. That's when I learned I was a Leo born on the cusp, and that's when I started studying natal charts.IP: Logged |

My family has been into astrology for generations. I was a non-believer, probably because I never paid attention and wanted to disprove it. But when things started happening....whoosh I got sucked up into astrology. IP: Logged |
