I would love to explore all minor aspects. I would love to start adding them to my charts.

I know the canned explanations for them, as one can read them. I would like to hear personal experience for any of them in your own chart and that of other charts you have done.
Thanks so very much, in advance

IMO the problem is not..aspects or minor aspects. It is patterns of aspects occurring together.

Someone could say they love this one aspect, but it could have been due to something else in the synastry or composite, if they did not really check right.

I would just like to explore your experience with each of the minor aspects. Want to start with the semi sextile? I have one with my 2 Unaspected planets. It is Moon semisextile venus.

Just wanted to add this...i found a link on another site, the astrologer has put together a ton of information about the aspects, and even a description of some in aspect to planets! http://tribes.tribe.net/astrologylovers/thread/5e35684a-4155-4c84-ab5a-f5bbf808905e

I posted some about minor aspects if you dont want to wade through his page!

inconjunct 150° ± or - 4° Dynamic(Difficult)

quintile 72° ± or - 2° Flowing(Easy)

semi-sextile 30° ± or - 2° Dynamic(Difficult)

semi-square 45° ± or - 2° Dynamic(Difficult)

sesquiquadrate 135° ± or - 2° Dynamic(Difficult)

Quintiles
“Aspects are angles made by planets, with respect to the centre of the Earth. They are measured along the ecliptic (path of the Sun through the zodiac). For example, an 'opposition' aspect is 180 degrees while a 'square' aspect iis ninety degrees.
According to the late John Addey, two prime-number aspects often ignored by astrologers had an expecial connectiion with the idea of 'creativity'. Deriving from the numbers five and seven, they are the Quintile and Septile aspects. The quintile was invented (or discovered) by Kepler, while the septile has only been used in fairly modern times. The quintile (72 º) and bi-quintile (144 º) aspects are here shown, as together make up the 'fifth harmonic. John Addey also proposed how the orbs of these small or 'minor' aspects should be determined: they should have orbs of 12/nº where n is the 'harmonic number.' For quintiles the number is five, as gives an orb of ±2º.20'. Likewise the family of 'septiles' are here shown, with a 12/7 orb as comes to ±1 º 43'. One would expect just over two quintiles per chart, and likewise for the septiles.”

Quintiles are a minor aspect, show 'hidden talent'
cafeastrology.com/natal/qui...ntile.html

Uranus quintile Pluto
You are gifted with great understanding and an ability to elucidate the most arcane subject matter and bring great clarity to the deepest workings of the human psyche. Your insight is laser sharp and penetrates to the very essence of whatever you focus your attention on. You are probably not traditional in spiritual matters, but put all beliefs and assumptions to the test of intellectual analysis and personal experience. You are very creative, original and innovative in your search for understanding. You are capable of significant breakthroughs and accumulation of power.

Uranus septile Pluto
You are deeply inspired on a guided journey of acquiring power. Your insight is clear and penetrating, and transcends known traditions and belief systems. You are destined to expose and elucidate arcane subject matter, and to uncover secrets of personal empowerment. You may often be aware of an invisible force guiding your decisions, and are unwavering in your commitment to your divine imperative.

Uranus quincunx Pluto
There is a strange paradox in your thinking, wherein your social and spiritual ideals seem to have little connection to your deepest emotional psychodynamics. Your desire for personal transformation and power may be blocked unless or until you can somehow create an interface between ideals and emotions. You may be unwilling or unable to let go of your sacred cows or cherished beliefs. Or you might be unwilling to penetrate to your most vulnerable emotional dynamics and expose your dark side. You will probably expend considerable energy trying to resolve this situation, with less than lasting or satisfactory results, and many adjustments will be required. However, the effort will create personal growth and expanded awareness"

Septile Aspects

"If a septile pattern is formed in the natal chart it is often an indication that a measure of wisdom has been attained by the individual. Septiles give an interest in and ability to comprehend realities other than the norm, so they fit well with the Vertex axis which gives access to other realities. If septile patterns involve outer planets it is usually an indication of a person who quite different to the normal run of humanity. Its negative side is that it can lose touch with the reality that is considered normal.

So you find septile series people in science, religion, astrology, research, psychic areas – in fact any area that could be considered deeper or more recondite to the norm for a culture. For instance I know a veterinarian who can easily communicate with most animals, reptiles and birds who has a planet conjunct his 6th house Vertex which is also involved in a big septile-biseptile-triseptile pattern in his natal chart.

Septile people are often highly inventive, especially if an outer planet is involved in the pattern. I have found a number of them involved in artificial intelligence areas."
aliceportman.com/septile-series/

"In the septile series there are the septile (51+ degrees), biseptile (102+ degrees), and triseptile (154+ degrees). Due to the non-rationality of the numbers produced when the circle is divided by 7, it is assumed that these aspects represent the non-rational points in the cycle. Thus on a personality level they show as obsessive or compulsive behavior, irrationality or strange inexplicable points in the process. And of course, as you know if you've been reading this column for any length of time, when operating as a transit they represent critical "forks in the road of destiny," where we must choose which way we will define our personality and therefore our future.

The septile, falling 51 degrees 25 minutes from any given point, shows the first or last fork in the road relative to the conjunction. The waxing septile comes after the first internal crisis of growth at the waxing semisquare and precedes the productive period shown by the waxing sextile. The waning septile comes after the final productivity of the waning sextile phase of the process and the choice at the waning septile precipitates the internal crisis at the waning semisquare. It is a point of emergent choice showing which way the process will develop, or final choice before the disintegration of the old form, forming the seed that will grow anew at the rebeginning of the next conjunction" www.aquariuspapers.com/astrol...as.html

"But there is a negative side which can also be associated with the septile series, my keyword personality characteristics in this area are; aloofness, coldness, lives in the past, peculiar, sceptical and unapproachable.

The very destructive influences of the seven can manifest in; dishonesty, cheating, being faithless, a gossip, sarcastic and having secret motives, which appeal to the criminal mind.
Those with prominent septiles often underestimate their talents and potentials, they are often sweet and charming with very human qualities.

Their brilliant and practical ideas attract people like magnets, some are good story tellers and speakers, others may travel to foreign lands, become diplomats, or gain recognition in their field. The septile can be seen in the charts of the peacemaker, the arbitrators or the spiritual masters." www.universalastrologer.com/septile.html

QUINDECILE 165"

"Easy to See: the quindecile on paper in a horoscope looks like an "almost opposition." Test it with your eye: add fifteen degrees to one of the planets (or subtract); does this bring the two planets into opposition? If it does, it is a quindecile! I.e., the quindecile is 15 degrees less than or more than an opposition. --I recommend a tight orb: 2 to 2.5 degrees; the theory being, the tighter the orb, the fewer the aspects, the more reliable the aspects at hand.

One or more quindecile aspects are found in probably 85% of all horoscopes. The quindecile, with rulership routings to be respected as well, suggests a burning point of focus, often a place of extreme concern and effort in the life, even to the point of upheaval, disruption, and obsessive mania."

Sun semi-square Moon, Sun sesquiquadrate Moon
There is an ongoing conflict between what you think you should do and what you feel is right. This struggle can cause problems in your relationships with others. On the other hand, this inner discontent can also motivate you to ask for more from life in general.

Alternate interpretations:
Sun semi-square Moon: Being self-reliant is more important for you than for most people. Only with great effort and some difficulty do you manage to communicate your aims and intentions to others. Doing projects on your own is not only easiest, it is often your mechanism for learning compromise and coming to terms with your own inner conflicts. In groups, your own conflicts sometimes get projected onto others.

Sun semi-square Moon: Since your Moon and Sun are in tense semi-square aspect to one another, you have some conflict between the feminine and masculine elements of your psyche. You may have grown up in a home in which your parents seemed to be at odds with one another, or in which you were caught in their conflict. In your own struggle to determine the strengths of being a woman, you may sometimes feel that your inner sensibilities are overridden by your need for recognition. With maturity you are learning that you can use your awareness and respect for your deeper emotional needs to act as a springboard for accomplishment and personal recognition.

Sun semi-square Moon: You are sometimes torn between a desire to progress and be all that you can be versus a tendency to dwell in the past, resting on your laurels. Your inner, more domestic side struggles against authority. You could feel caught in the middle. www.cafeastrology.com/natal/s...oon.html

semi square
“considered a weaker version of the square and indicates somewhat difficult circumstance. It is sometimes known as the octile or semiquartile. A semisquare reveals an area of inflexibility. There may be obstacles keeping one from changing and adapting to new or different situations. The semisquare is teaching persistence and patience

The sesquiquadrate (abrv. Ses) is an angle of 135° (a square [90°] + a semisquare [45°]). A separation of 135±2° is considered a sesquiquadrate; it indicates somewhat stressful conditions. it is considered similar in influence to the semisquare. The sesquiquadrate is sometimes called a sesquisquare, square-and-a-half, quartile-and-a-half, and/or trioctile.

Unlike the square, which eventually brings solutions through practical experience, the semi-squares and sesquidradrates often point to issues, problems and energies that are irresolvable, and that we must learn to live with and cope with”
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astr...uiquadrate

“A sesquisquare is where you may be making a "mountain out of a mole-hill. The sesquisquare is a 135° angle (8° "orb" or less). It will reveal an area of frustration or disappointment. This is most likely due to the fact that you may be blowing the facts or situation clean out of proportion.

This aspect is asking you to chill out. It means that you need to develop some endurance, persistence and patience to avoid the overwhelming feelings of impatience and resentment.”
“Another way to say that: the sesquiquadrate implies curbing what has become excessive in order to make progress. Whereas the inconjunct has more to do with showing up in the first place (gibbous inconjunct) or paying attention to one's environment and showing up in the ways that are needed (full phase inconjunct) and taking it one step at a time.

The sesquiquadrate is in the square family (90/2= 45. All sesquiquadrates are divisions of 45- like the semi square). I like to think of the semisquare and the sesquiquadrate as more refined and detailed manifestations of a square. That's why I use the word "micromanaging".

One expression of a sesquiquadrate that I have definitely come to understand is the experience of feeling "blocked". The reason for the block is to enforce more awareness of what adjustments need to be made in order to move forward.”
schoolofevolutionaryastrology.com/f...hp

“The sesquisquare aspect (135 degrees) is a major indicator of unbalance in one's life, either by transit, progression or natally. This aspect is also called the sesquare or the older name is sesquiquadrate. It can represent either a physical challenge such as a genetic imbalance causing a birth defect, or a it may represent a poor or untenable choice of behaviors. If we consider an aspect as starting from the ascendant, the indicator of the totality of the physical body, then the sesquisquare drops you off in the middle of the fifth house, past the trine aspect, but not far enough to be readily available to the changeable energy or immediacy of the quincunx.

The sesquisquare often represents behaviors that are strongly stimulated by subconscious longings, or misguided attempts to make life turn out pleasantly by specific actions. The goal is far different from the result, bringing not what the owner intended because the sesquisquare aspect is irritating, uncomfortable, unhappy, maladjusted, or sorrowful in its result.

To change a sesquisquare behavior requires a breakthrough in consciousness or an intervention, such as periodically take place under the influence of a transformational transit by quincunx or the planet Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. This aspect definitely can represent poor choices made by the individual, unusual or faulty genetic structure, or show a potential outcome of trauma. This results in a misalignment of energy patterns, possibly blockages, or increased energy in a direction chosen through habit.

Usually the antidote, if there is one is contained in either the next major aspect, the quincunx, and the awareness of the difficulty of the
sesquare is revealed in the aspect in the middle of those two. That aspect is the 144 degree aspect, or biquintile, which has a lot to do with spiritual growth, and that is after all, a mini-enlightenment or "light bulb" like in the comic strips.”
sonic.net/~kira/sesquare.html

“A semisquare reveals an area of inflexibility. The semisquare is a 45° angle (4° "orb" or less), which is exactly half of the square aspect at 90°.
There may be obstacles that are standing in your way, thereby keeping you from changing and adapting to new or different situations. And you want to do it "this" way, not "that" way. Talk about irritating! Just when it seems you have it all figured out and then this "thing" blocks your path and tries to keep you from moving forward. Well maybe, just maybe, you are supposed to be doing it "that" way.
More openness and flexibility is needed here.

Ah, do not be bothered by the irritation. The semisquare is just teaching you persistence and patience. There is "always" another approach to bypass the roadblock. In other words, there is always more than one way to go to the grocery store.” www.drstandley.com/astrolog...are.shtml

“Semi-square, sesquiquadrate and quincunx are all minor tense aspects. Psychologically their effect may be seen as a very weak version of the square. Some astrologers give them additional importance in predicting events.

Sun inconjunct Ascendant
“This aspect indicates that the personality you project and which others see (your Ascendant) is very different from the real "inner you" (your Sun). This is not an effort to be deceptive or dishonest, but merely confusion over how to most effectively express yourself. Relating to others is difficult for you because it seems others often misunderstand your meaning or intention. Your close relationships will be a constant source of profound psychological change.

You are a hard worker and will be a perfectionist in your field. You truly believe that any job worth doing at all is worth doing in the best way you can. As your own worst critic you set high standards and then drive yourself to achieve them, sometimes to the point of threatening your physical health. In your quest for excellence, you will be impatient and annoyed with others who are lazy or lack motivation.

Also, be careful not to be too trusting and give away your trade secrets to others who may betray you.

You devote much of your energy and resources to helping your friends, who are often unappreciative of your efforts. Remember that help which is not asked for does not work for either person. Sometimes it's best to allow others the opportunity of learning to take care of themselves. You may often put off getting something you want in order to help a loved one instead. Be sure to take care of yourself and have fun from time to time. This will help keep you healthy.”

Natal Sun quincunx Ascendant
The sun inconjunct the Ascendant shows that you are a tireless worker and don't do anything unless you can give it your full effort. You want the approval of everyone you know for what you accomplish. Secretly you may hope to gain some public recognition too, but you don't really expect it. You are generally willing to work behind the scenes, quietly developing your potentials and mastering the skills you need to meet the struggle to earn a living. You realize that your creative talents are useless unless you develop them and make them your greatest assets. You respect people who seek a formal education, although you yourself can do very well merely by developing your latent talents.

Always striving for excellence, you are impatient with people who are inefficient or lazy. You learned many valuable lessons from your parents, and you may have followed their suggestions in getting the training they felt you should have. In fact, you are a specialist. But you underestimate your capabilities and will be satisfied with yourself only when you are successful in your work.

You know how to convert your talents intervene and expect to be well paid for your services, for you know what they are worth. Undaunted by competition, you always try to be the best in whatever you do. Unless other placements contradict this one, your future is secure. You drive yourself excessively, which carries the risk of depleting your physical reserves. Detach yourself from responsibility now and then so you can unwind and get needed rest. You feel a deep obligation to prove your abilities to yourself, although you don't mind it when others make flattering remarks about your skills. You are easily put upon by so-called friends, who always want you to do something for them. This is your chance to know who your friends really are. You should be wary of revealing your ideas to associates, who may try to capitalize on them without giving you the full credit you deserve and without paying for them.

In the inconjunct between the Sun and Ascendant, self-confidence is at its lowest ebb, yet the wish to excel is unusually great. What complicates matters is the tremendous discrepancy between the Sun sign and the sign on the Ascendant, which generally have little or nothing in common. The way in which these people present themselves to others is very different from the way in which they would like to behave circumstances seem to frustrate them. What is more, the inconjunct is so disjointed that it can make them ungainly as well as insecure, and this in itself can hamper contacts with the environment. Another problem is that, underneath all their uncertainties, these people keep feeling important and may fall prey to ambition and perfectionism, which tempt them to saddle themselves with more than they can carry - sometimes to the point of physical breakdown. Nevertheless, once they understand that there are two forms of behaviour open to them - that due to the Ascendant and that due to the Sun - they can stop wavering and can adopt one or the other as the circumstance may require. www.scribd.com/doc/311519...x-Ascendant
