Maybe cause it sounds silly - the stars from above being able to affect our lives from below - i mean, let's face it - the humans were here first, the Universe came after... the first humans in existence, as in Adam and Eve - were kinda savages... and "once they got the hang of things" they banged like no other - they banged so hard that the Universe "came" in to existence... and that's why they call it the Big Bang... or at least that's how i heard it - the story... i mean the "history of the world".

- that being said - we affect the Universe and the stars, it's not the other way around.

sarcasm

Some people have closed minds and have a strict sense of what is right and wrong. Religion is the greatest factor (and racket lol) in why many are non-believers regarding astrology.

But good news. There are now scientists working on how the energy of the planets and how they affect us earthlings. So I feel science will eventuallly give the stamp of approval to astrology.

This will open up the minds of the intolerant ones and astrology will become common knowledge. I am hopeful that this will happen sooon!

The "intolerant" ones include myself. It doesn't matter what science says. Religion is religion, and no matter the science, religion will prevail in the hearts and minds of the devout. It is just how it is.

They have a right to not believe in it. We can't force them. I hate it when someone forces religion on me,so I don't force my friends or family into believing astrology. In fact I don't talk about astrology, tarot, spirit guides and the spirit world with my loved ones. It's my little secret and I like it that way

There is a stigma attached to astrology, an airy-fairy, hippy type stigma, and that's not what the majority of the public want to be associated with regardless of the validiy or benefits of its use.

Stigma? My church says I'm going to burn in hell. To some, it's a whole lot more than a social stigma.

In your case maybe, but not everyone is religious. There are many factors, just one of those things.

I'm actually quite happy that not more people are into astrology. It would just be another way for people to put you into boxes instead of trying to get to know you.
I don't "use" astrology in day to day life because of that.
Of course I observe but I honestly don't think about astrology that much when I leave my computer screen and I think that's for the better.

I use and take astrology with dating seriously. I had a disscussion today, and another student dis-agreed with me! It's clearly a lack of knowledge or ignoranc.

I believe in astrology but I don't see it as a religion.

I am spiritual and that is would be the case with or without astrology.

Some people are interested, some not so much. I don't really worry about it as long as everyone will tell me their birth data. And if they don't know it - will text their moms

I'm taking Astronomy right now, and it's pretty much Astrology minus the interpretation. I swear, if you get down to the core of Astrology, things just start making sense. It should seriously be offered as a class or career. I would definitely pursue it. However, you have all these people who think it's BS. Well, duh. You're looking at a sun sign! There's so much more to you than that! I have a friend who is an Aquarius with an Aries moon sign. She said she's always super attracted to Libras because it's another air sign. I was thinking...."actually, it's probably because it's opposite your Aries moon...."

@SmilingHeart. Yes me neither. but i think that's because i haven't gotten good at being able to feel certain connections or at noticing people's signs, unless it is aries or capricorn.

If I were able to see that, i wouldnt mind bc then i could impress people by guessing their sign
