I wanted to point out how sensitivity always gets pinned only on the water signs, but all the virgos I know are really sensitive. I think more than noticing their criticism at times, we don't ever talk about how sensitive this sign is to criticism from others, and how this shows how critical they must be with themselves. I think the difference between virgos and the water signs is that a water sign won't necessarily be sensitive to a remark, but if they are, they dwell on it for ages, whereas virgos don't seem to really dwell that much on hurt feelings. They get over it quickly, or are able to ignore their feelings and get on with their life whereas a water sign won't. But I do think virgos are hypersensitive, and this doesn't get pointed out very often.

I have nothing against virgos. I love virgos. It's just an observation. I feel sympathy for their hypersensitivity.

Finally someone said it.

Virgos are very sensitive but the thing is that most of them know how to hide their emotions and that's why they're so often considered "heartless" or cold yadda yadda.

I think Virgo Moons are especially sensitive.
Yep.. you've read that right. Virgo Moons.

Also,it is a discrimination thing - have to be sensitive, perceptive and responsive in order to pick up on the finesse of the world around them. However, they tend to be at bay - if the occasion arises,so they can be as effective, fundamentally - of service.

This sums it up nicely.

My Sun's in Virgo and my Sun isn't hypersensitive. On the contrary, i think that feelings and emotions are counterproductive out of place; if someone brings up an issue they've been dealing with, my reaction is to analyze it and figure out what the main issue is (beyond words) and then to tackle it asap.

Other people waste their time feeling sorry for them and telling them "awwww's" and "boohoo's" and those kind of people i stay the f*ck away from.

Emotional reassurance can be nice if you can be honest with yourself and truthful with someone else as to when you need it but otherwise, people and their stupid feelings only sit there and enable.

I have sometimes such a strong distaste for almost anything in Cancer because of how i see things.

I think they play on that emotional thing in a selfish manner instead of helping others overcome something to better themselves.

I remember being little and watching some little mermaid tv episodes with a Sun in Cancer and she always answered the same thing out loud to some stupid fish on there who would whine because he didn't have any friends and he couldn't grand their wish (it was that stupid starfish, i think).. Without fail, she'd feel bad for the stupid thing and always told him that "awww i don't hate you" and even then, i wish i would've taken some nearby toy and shoved it in her eye socket to snap her the he*ll out of it-- it wasn't about him or his friends it was about the flippin' wish!!!!!! They swam all that wa- i digress... Whatever.

I can deal better with Scorpio's because they're tough but even with a Pisces... Gah, that whole romantic and stupid view they have on almost all things pis$es me off to no end especially when there's no reason for it. Ex. you're at whole foods and some loud and noisy, stinky kid just ran down the isle and ran their hand along the shelves and knocked everything over... Imo, that kid oughta be given the electric chair but if with a Pisces, their stupid take on it would be something like "awwww, maybe they imagined they were running through a meadow... How cute! =>" meanwhile, everyone is staring and wondering why they can't teach their stupid kid how to properly behave..

As of now, that same Cancer that i talked about before has a boyfriend who practically lives with her and her parents and she beats him... Yes, that's right.. So much for being "sensitive" yes? I used to have to go to Sunday school with her and she swears by jesus all night and day and she beats the living cr*p out of her boyfriend.

Gaah! I agree whole-heartedly. For the longest time, I thought my hyper-sensitivity was my Scorpio sun, but as I've aged, I've realized it is tooootaaaaly my virgo moon. I think the scorpio part of me has a much easier time dismissing negativity, but my virgo moon will not let anything go without a thousand years of analyzing and considering and giving myself a hard time over whatever it is. Exhausting.

Well, not not THIS Pisces, tho is probably my Scorpio asc that will turn to all little kids left to run wild in public, and hiss, yes, hissss at them to the likes of Medusa herself...."where are your parents!" And glare at them so they run off with their little primordial tails between their legs to find those "lost" parents~

My sensitivity lies not on my sleeve for the world too see, but in my soul...so that I feel the pain for each and every one of you~

Yes, I will agree with you here. I have had to walk on eggshells with my Virgo mother all my life so as not to hurt her feelings when I have tried to explain how she really treated me as a child. And I, as a Pisces cant hurt another cause it hurts me! Virgo mom will curl up and wither away in the face of my problems due to her sensitivity that she does not recognize as sensitivity to her external environment.

Virgo bfriend uses the excuse of not wanting drama in his life, just cant deal, wants all flowers and poppy fields, cause he, too, I have noticed is very sensitive to his external environment and just does not know how to handle emotions like the water does who lives there, especially the Fish who swims in emotions of this very 3d experience always. He has a Cancer asc, which makes him a little more sensitive than my mother, but instead of getting all sad and hurt like my mom does, he turns it back on me. Next time I confront him with something (which is far and few between) I am going to place a mirror around myself and see how he acts.

The Very myth of Virgo is a sensitive creature...but, again, not living in the world of being a birthright, it is foreign to them, I think.

im a virgo sun, and yes i'm quite sensitive haha i've been called sensitive before while i was working on this group project at uni..it didn't really bother me though because i know its true XD i only become hypersensitive when a criticism thrown against me sounds so unreal that it shocks me, I always have the urge to hide myself, run away and save my face from my embarrassment..well, I view all criticisms as embarassments anyway :/

from Liz Greene

quote:
Virgo's sensual needs are often deep and powerful. Their
sensitivity and delicacy make them aware of another
person's needs in a very acute way which hastier signs don't
notice. But Virgos can take a long time to really fall in love.
They're not easily fooled by a pretty face or a beautiful
body. They think too much and know too much.
