I've pluto conjunct venus in libra, looks like i might start dating a mars conjunct venus in scorpio...

Pluto does take my libra venus to a whole new place...intense, serious, devoted, not flirty at all when in relationships...but very serious about meeting and understanding the needs of my partner, if they are worthy!(<-lol, hello pluto!!)

Im just wondering if you anyone has 1st hand, in action experience with these two, and which is more intense pluto or mars?

In my experience Pluto conjunct Venus is more intense. I think it depends on the Sun though.

I think that Pluto/Venus aspects can generate amazing chemistry, but if I had to pick between them I'd pick Mars/Venus. I think this aspect is just a tad more powerful then Pluto/Venus... I've never been attracted to someone based purely on a Pluto/Venus aspect, But I've been very attracted by Mars/Venus in synastry.

I find the personals aspecting each other are so necessary, and often will determine HOW we experience the aspects to the outeras.
IF however there are some attraction indicated in the personal aspects, the Pluto-aspects might bring this attraction to a whole new level.

at a natal level , I prefer pluto conjunct venus ... I've seen people with this aspect and they act better than venus conjunct mars ... venus conjunct mars people seem to be in display for everyone, and a bit childish in approaching relationships.

at a synastry level, I prefer venus conjunct mars , it's healthier , brighter and yet deeply rooted.

I've never been involved with Scorp Venus,to match my Pluto, where the rest of the synastry would back up the stirrup created by Venus/Pluto.

Venus/Mars have been more involved, and therefore very strong.
And I love these contacts. Just met somebody with whom I have DW trine, exact! The chemistry is unbelievable.

Edit: But the Venus/Pluto is also strong, just not as... effective.

I think this probably boils down to the aspects we have in our own charts. I don't have Venus aspecting Mars natally but I do have Venus aspecting Pluto so I imagine that would be why I feel the Ve/Plu much more strongly.

It might just come down to natal promise. I agree though that two personal planets feel nice and are a heck of a lot easier to manage than Venus with an outer, but Pluto is pretty strong in my chart so I'm not sure I've ever had a serious relationship without a two way Venus/Pluto aspect.

ETA: I also see/feel Pluto as being more intense as an energy. Mars is active but to me Pluto is really deep and intense.

I think i'd have to agree with you! But my mars is pretty much unaspected so im really not sure what mars feels like connected to something else, my pluto is about the most aspected planet in my chart!

I agree here too. Ive venus conj mars in my natal. Every relationships there I was in love I had an closed aspect to venus or mars (not conj). Ive never become attracted to a man with his Venus conj my Pluto. My first husbands venus was in conj to my Pluto but I was never in real love to him... We got our son and I think our relationship was meant to be because him.

I have Venus conjunct pluto (1 deg) and venus trine mars (1 degree) in my natal so anything aspecting my venus/mars is likely aspecting pluto . . . i cannot separate pluto from sexual attraction in general. The strongest I've felt pulled to someone, however, was my mars opposite his venus, his venus sextile my venus/pluto, his mars trine my mars and his mars trine my venus/pluto, and his eros on my ASC. I've never had a grand trine with someone with mars/mars/venus before him so I don't know if that's what it is or it's something different. But boy were we pulled towards each other and still are; even though I'm in a relationship I still get weak when I see him.

In other people's relationships I've noticed Venus/mars aspects are more common. Venus/Pluto tends to create more intense, passionate, but also dysfunctional relationships. Lots of people can't handle that energy in a healthy way.

I think that is exactly the point. With all outer planets actually. The range of expression/ manifestation is usually more extreme, and it all boils down to the natal charts.

Well for me seriously it is not really a choice, as every guy`s Mars conjunct my Venus would be squaring my Pluto at the same time.

On a related note - I don't have much room for Venus/Pluto action, since my Venus can't trine Pluto exactly (people who have 14 degrees Scorp Pluto are younger than me) and Libra Pluto people are 10+ my senior (so far,no relationship with that gap)

Moon/Pluto,I strongly felt,more that Moon/Mars,so far.
By progression,I have the mirrored aspects - Venus trine Mars, and Venus square Pluto, while natally I have Venus/Mars square and Venus/Pluto trine. Maybe I like Venus/Mars so much,at this moment because I am at balance, and after natal square I found some sweets with pVenus/Mars trine: matured energy.

Venus/Pluto is one-of-a-kind,lifetime material,Venus/Mars is passion and heat that's youthful,if you know what I mean - butterflies and excitement.

Yes, agree totally. And for even more excitement put a bit of Uranus into the equation as well. Though maybe that is just for me and my Aqua-Moon. lol

oh and good idea to check the progressions.

Personally I`ve never felt attracted to someone `s Venus conjunct my Pluto (Hugh Grant`s actually does, and he seems just so boring to me. No offense, just wanted to say totally unsexy to me).

People whose Pluto is going to be conjunct my Venus are being born right now (actually my best friend is going to have her third baby in the next days. Hope everything is fine. ).

However, I HAVE felt a strong attraction to someone whose Pluto was trine my Venus, but then it was also squaring my Mars-ASC-NN, and we both have Venus-Pluto aspects natally.

Venus-Pluto squares seem to happen a lot, but then again, it might be generational and in all these cases the other person was
1. highly plutonic
2. having other personal planets in the equation

and since I have Venus, Mars and Pluto on similiar degrees (6 Cap - 5 Sag - 9 Libra) and depending where the other person`s planet falls they might trigger it all, so it is difficult to separate for me.

However as I said I have never felt attracted to anyone whose Venus fell onto my Pluto.
I have been somewhat attracted to people with their Venus on my Mars, but far less strongly than if my whole Venus-Mars-Pluto bunch was triggered by conjunction, square or trine.

With my natal venus/pluto a relationship without that intensity is boring...ive never been really attracted to someone who aspected my mars except by opposition or square...i guess i like a lot of intensity!

I think we're in the same camp here Gabby. Everyone's Pluto is inevitably going to square my Venus unless I go really old or young in the man department. So I've mostly been stuck with it at least one way. And then the men who are attracted to me (and me to them) always seem to have their Venus at exactly 3 or 4 Aries or Libra squaring/opposing/conjuncting my Venus/Pluto.

I love the intensity of it. But I agree with Ceridwen that it takes maturity to handle it (of which I gain a little more after each relationship)

I'm curious about a Venus/Mars conjunction and what that would feel like... But sometimes I wonder if that would be like eating food without any spice?! Lmao. Who knows. Maybe it's what I need because I'm 36 and still single.

Mars-Venus is certainly not spice-free. LOL
At least the challenging aspects including conjunction aren´t.

But unless connected to Pluto more uncomplicated, direct, physical (depending on the sign and other aspcts to that one).

It`s the: "I want you. You want me. So your place or mine?" kind of aspect (I am obviously oversimplyfying).

The harmonious aspects usually give a harmony in terms of physical rhytms.
Also Mars might want exactly what Venus has to offer and vice versa.

But I`d say, in general terms, it is more direct and physical than any Pluto aspect could ever be. It might not be that "soul-probing".

Just thought about a few songs.

I totally understand, i have 12th house virgo moon...1961-1970 their pluto on my moon in my 12th house, then it turns to libra, until 1985 have their pluto somwhere on my libra karma@5, libra AC@7, libra pluto@11, libra venus@19....
Any guy born from 1961-1985 have a pluto connection to me somehow, wide or small orb, its still there!! Thats 14 years older to 10 years younger!! Its quite stressful...do i have to rob the cradle or date grandpa to get off the pluto train? LOL
Not to mention, if they hit my moon they will probably sqaure my mars and if they hit my libra they will oppose my aries DC/jupiter/chiron/vertex! Then add that libra uranus from that time period or the scorpio uranus that squares my leo saturn? Ugh!!

Venus conj mars is wonderful because no matter how much time elapses, the attraction remains Pluto and Venus are magnetic but it can erode into obsession and love/hate, while Venus and mars are more of a companionship bond w added spice
