So what does this mean? Are they all actually related to the 12 signs? It can't be coincedence that the 12 houses, and the 12 signs just happen to have similar characteristics, can it?

Yet, a sign can be in Gemini, but it can fall in the 8th house which is similar to Scorpio.

So the true question I am trying to propose here is, how does astrology work? Are there 12 fixed wedges in the universe, where our planet is in the center of them, and in each direction is a different sign? But clearly, our planet is not the centre of the universe, meaning that the 12 signs aren't centered around our planet specifically, but they are centered around, PERHAPS, every spot in the universe.

This is very interesting to think about. What are the signs? We have a very, very basic pattern in what they are. They have 3 major characteristics. They can be either fixed, cardinal, or mutable (perhaps characteristics of the magnetic energy, force, or whatever kind of energy they are). Then you have your 4 elements. And they change from positive to negative. These are the 3 main characteristics of the energy that make up the 12 signs. But what is this energy? I do not know. All I can say is it has basic components that follow some laws of science and form the 12 signs. Furthermore I don't believe it is any kind of magic- it is science.

So continuing. I have an idea. Since astrology is a circle. The 12 signs are in 12 directions circling our solar system. The 12 houses are in 12 directions circling our planet. PERHAPS, the signs are created by some circular energy. I don't know what this energy is, perhaps related to gravity. But seeing as how the Earth has its own 12 houses, which are related/similar to the 12 signs, I can only assume that maybe it is the same as the 12 signs, just on a milder/smaller scale, created by some circular energy.
