Not always. Its not a rule. I for example don't get along with people who have their Mercury sextile or trine mine. And for sure Leo Mercury isn't the hardest Mercury to have. IP: Logged |

At first I was like "lol we're such great friends, we can't possibly end up fighting" and we didn't. We just ended up becoming super passive aggressive

 | posted December 29, 2014 01:35 AM The title of this thread is a bit irresponsible, and will fuel the insecurities of people who want to use astrology as their compass in life.
Astrology aspects are just a set of tools given to you. You can use them to build great things, or to tear each other down. It is up to an individual how they will use the tools provided. That being said, hard aspects are NOT BAD. It is a bottle-necked energy with powerful potential. People may like to take the hard, uphill path, so they can see the great, rewarding view from the top, both of the path they took, as well as the one in front of them (squares, etc). Or, you may have people who would rather take the easy, scenic route to enjoy each moment as it passes them by (trines, etc). Astrology is a useful, interpretive tool to explain things in your life. If you sabotage your relationships because of so-and-so aspect, you are only losing out on a possibly enriching and invaluable experience. If you find the so-called "bad" aspects in your composite or synastry, the point of astrology is make you aware, so you can appropriately adapt and be conscious of the potential lying under the surface. It's up to you to make the very best with what you've got. IP: Logged |

 | posted December 29, 2014 04:22 PM Not talking composite charts, but just the natal chart, I was reading the other day that Pluto conjunct Mercury in someone's chart is not really desirable in a partner. Apparently it indicates someone who speaks their mind or forces their opinion regardless of whether it's appropriate or not.
Dam*it, I have that! I'm forever destined to be single! (edit, just noticed this thread was started in 2012!) IP: Logged |

Its like saying "Please avoid knives. You will get cut". But then again the question then is; does it not depend on how that knife is used. And what that knife is used for? I don't like Mars-Saturn in aspect. I think it a dud. But I have the same aspect (by sextile) with someone whom I have a good work relationship with- they are Saturn and I am Mars. Its not the aspect. Its the context its used in as well as how the two people involved use it. IP: Logged |
