One way people say to progress it is that each day from when you were born represents a year in your life. So on the 22nd day you were born it represents your 22nd year of life. So the chart on that day will represent your natal chart for that year.

I personally disagree with that theory, but oh well.

Another way is to take your natal chart, and for each year of your life, progress the natal chart 1 degree forward. So that all the planets stay in practically the same degree of the sign but the ascendent moves over 1 degree and so do all of the houses. So if your ascendent was at 5 degrees in capricorn when you were born, and you are now 15, then the ascendent should be somewhere around 20 degrees of Capricorn.

I love progressions, you can find out anything by following the Moon.

The Moon moves 11-13 degrees per day so it takes approxamatly two and a half years to complete a sign which coinsides with a Saturn cycle.
The P Moon will show you what sign and house is highlighted in your Natal.
Watch all exact aspects. I also give one degree approaching and one separating.

This is not all there is to progressions not by a long shot but because the Moon moves so fast it will activate an event if the other planets support it.
Like a Progressed planet conjunct a Natal planet. If so is it activating a configuration?

Watch for conjunctions to the house cusps(both Natal and Progressed)

Remember that a Progressed Chart will not show you anything that is not in the Natal Chart.
