Are there certain aspects that point to a lasting, happy marriage/ relationship/ commitment just not being in the cards? As in the native has bad luck in this regard?IP: Logged |

I know a few people who are divorced and have Venus(beauty, love, relating & I think shows how you give & receive love) square(hard aspect, tension, can sometimes lead to self-sabotage) Uranus(unpredictable, breaking norms). IP: Logged |

I think that there is usually more than just one placement. Can you post the chart? IP: Logged |

DSC ruler opposite Saturn retrograde in the 5th. That would be a classic indicator of delayed marriage. IP: Logged |

I've been married and divorced twice. I've been with my current boyfriend for over 4 years but he has no desire to get married (not to mention I feel like I have general bad luck in relationships). Amowls, you said delayed- does that mean it will happen eventually? Not necessarily marriage itself but a happy sustaining mutually respectful relationship?IP: Logged |

I did some studying and I don't think it's venus square MC. I'm interested to know more about saturn opposite mercury and the dsc, though. I don't think merc pop saturn would cause it if the 5th wasn't involved though (?)IP: Logged |

Ann7, is it possible you tend not to give your opinion, several placements say you keep 'mum' on things, and so things are left unsaid or not addressed. As amowls pointed out, the ruler of the DSC opposing Saturn in the 5th. Impression here is that you tend to limit what you say to maintain peace. However you have chatty social Gemini as your partner type so they may not like the lack of communication. Also Moon in Pisces, is square venus in sag in the 1st and Neptune in the the 12th, ruling the Moon in the third. Again, key ideas are glossing over, evading issues, vague communication, especially how you feel. With Venus in the 1st and ruler Jupiter in Libra in the 10th, in mutual reception, you are attractive and definitely give off a desirable and worthwhile personality. However, maybe with all the evasiveness and avoiding of issues, Mr Gemini, wonders if you even like him (again here venus, ruling the merc/saturn opposition). He may even think, with Mars conjunct Scorpio and scorpio on the 12th, that you have an ideal image of the guy you really like and yet he can't compete with this unseen guy (merc isn't making any aspects to Sun, moon, venus, mars, jupiter) - (mars ruling 5th and 12th, conjunct pluto ruling 12th, ruling Neptune, ruling Moon square Venus - aka the type of guy that you are turned on by is hot, and you are secretly in love with him, but he's not easy to get to (Venus in Sag), whilst everyone knows that you are committed to me, Mr Gemini partner (Venus trine saturn opposing merc in 11th ruling MC). In other words, your partners are likely to be inclined to think that they are stopping you from getting with the hot guy/s that you really want, as you tend to seem a bit silent and secretive, don't say much about how you feel, may laugh things off and can avoid issues or seem like you are not saying communicating so as to keep the peace. Thus with merc/saturn trine venus, they may seek out female advice and come to the conclusion 10th house (4th house from the DSC)that you are better off without them as you obviously prefer someone else, (Jupiter in Virgo ruling ASC, conjunct pluto/mars and sextile neptune in the 12th). One of the ways around this is to turn the tables on yourself - and get them to talk to you.You can do this by chatting about shared hobbies, or even your hobby, the gemini partner and with your moon in the gemini house, you can chat about things and, (taking a term from the evolutionary astrologyers and psych nursing) if you use socratic questioning, you will feel the partner may become more integrated into your life. Examples of questions are: how would you do this, what do you think about that, why do you think this would happen etc. So even though you are not actually telling much more, you are engagin the other so that they feel more involved and that their opinion and thoughts matter to you. The reason why it can be about hobbies, is to work with the habit of saturn on the 5th. Perhaps you are discinclined to just have fun so therefore the partner may think you are like that because you don't enjoy being with them (merc opposition saturn). So examples of things that may get your communicative and fun juices flowing are: I'm feeling a medium here - maybe its hot glue gun and beadwork, so yes I think, as trivial as it may seem, these partners could probably happily sit watching tv/watching you, sorting your beads, giving their opinion on what would be the best colour etc. Another example is, definitely getting a feel for dogs, dog breeding/training. Not that its all about you, he is of course going to have his own interests etc, however with venus in your first ruling merc ruling 7th, he is pretty happy if you show your liking of him, especially in fromt of other people (merc in 11th ruling MC). If you look at your chart, your inner planets don't have many aspects and you have sun in scorpio, so you might be a bit of a mystery. A big strength of yours is the Sun trine Moon, moon ruling 8th, you don't have to say much to take it to an intimate level which would be pretty enticing I guess. Jupiter is currently transiting your 7th house, and when it trines Mercury in Libra in the 11th, you may just get that marriage proposal. Sometimes however, it can mean that you expand this sphere and may go looking elsewhere. Robert Hand the transits expert, will incline towards improving relationships and marriage proposals, Stephen Arroyo says that more couples break up in Jupiter transits to the 7th than when Saturn transits the house. Chryseis- THANK YOU for all that!!! Some of it is accurate and some of it I'm not so sure about (but I'm re-reading and trying to be honest with myself). I have no problems speaking up, in fact my mouth tends to get me in trouble. Always has regardless of the situation. Also, I've usually pursued the men I want in a passive aggressive way, however thanks to on line dating I've made the first move with the last 3 men I've dated. When I get serious with a man (fall in love) the relationships tend to fall apart over time. Usually they cheat and I leave. The other end of the spectrum is that I'll date a guy I'm not that into and end it because I need to feel more than just "like". I definitely engage my loved one (just about everyone) in conversations about themselves. I know it makes a person feel good when you show interest in them- This is actually one of the problems I'm having with my now boyfriend, he doesn't show any interest. I do all of the things you suggested like showing PDA , etc but it's weakly reciprocated. Meh - regardless, I feel like I have no problem finding love but holding on to it is another story. Very interesting stuff about the transits and difference in opinion!!! I will read more into that. IP: Logged |

Thanks Ann7, gosh I thought I nailed it - I'm so conceited -lol - damn my mars in leo conjunct my sun/moon midpoint!Perchance, do you have inclinations like the interests in craft with hot glue guns, or would you be inclined to get right into dogs on a training/showing level? IP: Logged |

No hot glue guns but writing instead. And I love dogs - no desire to breed or show them but I will probably be known as the crazy dog lady when I'm old (er). You got quite a bit right and what's more, I appreciate all of your time, effort and wisdom! Thank you! IP: Logged |

Venus peregrine (no ptolomeic aspects to other planets) acts as separate entity to the rest of the chart. Venus, whilst operating comfortably and exuding gregarious charm and charisma effortlessly, is not integrating naturally with the rest of the personality and hence is portraying an image which does not fully represent the character.Advice ~ based purely on this Venus position ~ would be to pay attention to great character differences between acquaintances and a close partner. The difficulty this could create in relationship is the changeable behaviour. It may seem that the native is happier in social circumstances and may forget and overlook a partner at such times. Attention to consistency is important. A relationship with somebody with a strongly aspected Sagittarius planet conjuncting this Venus position would work best. IP: Logged |
