Hi all,

Saturn's been in Scorpio a week now, is anybody else noticing a profound energy change? My friends have observed it too but it really is like there is a serious shift occurred at work, and people seem to be more politically focussed too.

I wrote an article last week just to outline what to expect, what I think will happen over the next couple of years (and I'm already seeing the media shift with the Jimmy Saville scandal and articles about STD cakes!!)

I have Saturn square Pluto natal so what I've noticed since this transition it's causing inner impowerment that's not so much effecting outward effectivness. Im finding myself more domineering with the opposite sex but patience like a tiger watching behind a tree letting all the heavy energy build till recongnition proveils itself

Saturn in Scorpio is squaring my natal 8H Mars in Cancer.

I feel like it's the cage on my out of control sex/emotional nature... it's the master to a planet that's always been volatile and out of control... it's absolutely infuriating but so necessary for me. Cancer Mars makes me want to scream out and cry in emotional frustration sometimes but Scorp Saturn is laying down the law and making me see beyond my sudden impulses especially in areas of sex+dating. It's saying, wake up! Sex and love isn't going to make your immediate future, working hard at school and your social circles+charities will.

Appropriately enough it's making a trine to my natal 3H Saturn, showing that if I just get control and stop obsessing over my love life which has been a serious issue - wanting to ditch schoolwork for fun instead - I'll get rewarded for my efforts in school and communicative areas.

It's approaching my Asc and I feel the need to be more secluded. The last couple of days I have been forced to go to birthday parties (Ugh Libras) and the whole time I was quiet and very serious. I also feel more penetrating.
A few commented on my eyes recently saying they look more penetrating. Idk why thoughhh
I'm kind of excited for it to cross my Asc. I need change~

I have Saturn in Scorpio natally, so maybe that's why I haven't noticed any change.

Hi Virgolotus - yeah it crossed my ASC around NYs (ugh Libra rising) it does feel far better when it does, I don't enjoy Saturn in the 12th. It's easier to follow 'orders' or motivational urges when you can actually perceive them!! That sounds exciting having that intense eye thing ~it probably comes naturally to a Scorpio rising and shows an ability to act as a magnet drawing and repelling where you wish.

Sweetscorpion - it must be frustrating to have Mars in Cancer at times (though it's more difficult for men I have witnessed) good to hear that the square (you have Mars around 29 Cancer?) from Saturn in Scorpio is reaching out and asking you to flow and express yourself more. Saturn doesn't just bestow new ways, it also leaves us with these experiences for life. It sounds to me like your approach to work is being framed ~in a positive way~ and established for your future. Third house Saturn is going to have to work hard to be understood at times anyway, so it's not like you lack the focus. :-)

JLyn and Curiouswoman - you both sound empowered in a similar way. Perhaps you both have an emphasis on the 8th House in your charts and feel that Saturn is paving the way for expressing parts of your nature which are sometimes overlooked.

Astra - having your Saturn return coming up is a big deal!! You won't feel Saturn objectively know but look at your life. Even if your natal Saturn is at the end of Scorpio there will be a little ripple of change running through your life. Good change and quite often, internal change. For me Saturn return gave me an inner strength and I made a choice to stop compromising myself to appease others. It really is the period in which you grow up! And should this be your second Saturn return, the period when you start *really* saying no! My friends have come out of their second Saturn return with absolute belief in themselves, energy to do what they really love to do with NO compromises :-)

waxlobster : I feel definitely difference from Saturn in Libra to Saturn in Scorpio. Sometimes like oh ! this is familiar ,there is a huge shift. At the same time a bit whoa ! don't know if I can deal with this.

I have Saturn in Scorpio in 11th house...Ofcourse I know my dreams would come true but I guess we would know the limitations or smart work and ofcourse crazy annoying ways of Saturn. I definitely look forward to work with Saturn. When Saturn left Libra I really had list of what was wrong!

Well again 4lifephases you have your Saturn return coming up so it will be quite a personal shift too. I can understand that it may feel overwhelming in some ways. What degree is your natal Saturn? Am just wondering when the Return moment is....and what aspects do you have to Saturn? That will speak more of the flavour of the Saturn return, of course in the 11th it gives you a conscientious approach to society and desire to make the right decision about who you choose to associate with. Though you are unwavering once you believe in something or somebody :-)

I feel the energy shift but I went from feeling on top of the world to feeling like crap. The adjustment will probably feel better as times goes on and transiting libra sun exits stage left.

Yes I agree! Saturn in the 12th kind of slowed me down but did open my eyes a little. I'm excited to see what Saturn in the 1st has in stored.

I'd been made redundant at the time but knew that with that transit I was going to find a job soon and that it was going to be *busy*. I learned so much!! Still am in some ways, sure you can expect responsibility and challenge, but also fulfillment and achievement (Venus rules my Ascendant and is in Capricorn so it was create and conducive to my temperament). The condition of Pluto in your chart will tell you a lot, but if you go ~with~ it you'll enjoy it. It's part of your path after all :-)

during Saturn in Libra, communication was very difficult. so much delay, interruption, even with people I have known for many years. it really affected my income stability. new people also changed rapidly, especially the ones I met in 2011, but that's not a big deal as I found some of them are fake accounts anyway LOL
as soon as Saturn moved to Scorpio, some things cleared up, some old friends returned, communication generally picked up and as a result I managed to earn something. still working on getting stable income, haven't had much luck since 2010.
hopefully both NN and Saturn in Scorpio will bring me more opportunities. NN in Sag was kind of dry of it.

I have noticed a very strong shift. But one that has taken me by surprise! And I don't understand it. Normally, I am highly passionte with my husband, fawning over him. And I'm also a lot more emotional. But I have felt a lot more aloof, disinterested, and in control of my emotions...

I natally have Sun, Venus in 8th in Virgo all opposed to Jupiter. I'm a passionate, enthusiastic, outgoing gal... Not so much all of a sudden.

Saturn in Scorpio is going through my 10th. And I have no plaents there...T Saturn is Scorpio Conjunct my MC (Libra in last degree there.) T Saturn is also square my natal Aquarius Moon.

Could that do it??? I welcome any thoughts...

Oh yes Saturn squaring your Moon can have quite a dampening effect. Generally it makes it so that you don't have as much emotional energy to expend and it can be slightly depressing. Of course self-doubt and vulnerability will be brought to the surface whenever Saturn throws a hard aspect or (conjunction) your way.

Moon in Aquarius can be a very analytical placement anyway. I find many Moon in Aquarius cloud emotions with thoughts and are trying so hard to *understand* emotion they forget to actually *experience* it! Moon in the 2nd House will be more comfortable (Moon being exalted in Taurus and the 2nd relating to all things Taurean).

If it's a first house Moon then it will be more noticeable ~ in the respect that most of our interactions and responses are gauged with our first houses and so Saturn squaring a planet there may take away some of the attributes you associate with *you*. It's just testing you to make sure you don't become too reliant on habit. We don't grow if we're not challenged to deal with things in new ways. :-)

Thank you waxlobster! That totally makes sense. Saturn takes away some of the attributes of the 1st! Love that language. That just helped me learn quite a bit as an astrology student.

I'm a 1st house Aquarius so it is for sure more noticable. It doesn't feel bad...just different from me. And in some ways a bit refreshing. I feel my emotions deeply and it makes me raw quite a bit, but I'm always analyzing them. So right now (Well I guess I am analyzing them now! lol) but it feels good, almost like an ego booster. Like phew...I'm the one in charge here. After 8 years being with my husband, I love feeling so deeply, but sometimes it's quite overwhelming. I welcome it being a little lighter.

I have no idea if that makes any sense.

Thanks again...
