I hung out in a group setting with the Aquarius guy yesterday. Him and me were semi-flirting but I wasn't taking it seriously or anything and neither was he. However, I caught the Libra co-worker he is "talking" to (who doesn't know I know) seriously mean mugging me. The thing is the Libra obviously has the advantage over me. She's thinner, and the Aquarius has expressed clear interest in her, granted their first date plans fell through. I found myself getting a similar vibe from another Libra co-worker when I began hanging out with Pisces girl a lot more. This particular Libra would hand out snarky comments here and there, and disregard my presence a lot of the time. Am I jumping the gun in assuming Libras are insecure a lot of the time? They're so much more socially accepted (at least it appears that way) than an Aries attitude or demeanor, rather, is.

They could be just jealous of you, since your an Aries and Libra your opposite, sometimes opposite Sun signs of same sex feel envious or threatened by each other, because of the certain energy they feel they lack. Have seen this more between Taurus an Scorpios. Personally I like Aries people and usually dont have a problem with them.IP: Logged |

That's true, I guess I just imagined I'd witness as many Aries being jealous or threatened of Libras as well. My friend has mercury and Venus in Libra. One time a man complimented her hair and not mine, and she said she was glad he did. I thought "wtf? How petty..." but now it makes sense because she has the Libra placements.IP: Logged |

I think its because they are opposite to each other.I tend to have problem with virgos as well. The way I operate and the way they operate is very different. You are probably lot direct than those libras. If they feel like someone comes charging and gets the thing that they have tried to conquer with their diplomatic tactics for such a long time then they will obviously feel threatened.Where is that girl’s venus?if its in scorpio then that explains her jealousy.IP: Logged |

Think it depends on their other personal placements in their chart as to what they feel confident about. Mine is my willpower, which comes from all the Mars an Pluto placements in my natalIP: Logged |

Well I've met a lot of nice, friendly, normal Libra girls.. and I've also met the rare UTTER bi*tch. I think the opposition aspect can bring up people's insecurities because it is like seeing a mirror image of yourself. If someone has self-esteem issues.. meeting a person with their Sun Sign opposite their own - would emphasise those issues. But most Libra women are quite mature and non-judgemental. Even if they don't particularly like a person - they are still cordial and respectful and they don't create acrimonious situations socially.. by talking behind the person's back or being dismissive/snobbish towards them. Only a very toxic Libra ^ would behave this way. I have SEEN it happen but it's really uncommon. It seems you met one of the rare nasty types. IP: Logged |

This is how I handled the bit*chy Libra though.. I was very nice and normal towards her socially... and completely ignored her own behaviour - things like you just mentioned - trying to disregard my presence - intentionally excluding me in conversation and so on.I literally behaved towards her - as I would treat a person I liked. I said 'Hi' to her, asked her how she was etc... I gave her a hug when she was with my other two friends - because I hugged them. She did not like this and was very taken aback by my behaviour for a while.. but I kept it up for maybe 6 months now (she's still in my life). Lately she has been acting nice & normal with me.. and she comes up to me and talks to me now.. She acts as though everything is cool - and nothing was ever wrong between us. I should mention though that - when I say I was NICE to her.. I mean - I was very proactively nice.. I didn't just stand there or ignore her or give her a cordial smile. For instance if we were standing in a group - and she tried to be evasive and weird with me - I would stand next to her and say "I'll get some drinks.. Did you want anything?" or i would strike up a convo with her directly. I didn't let her ignore me - intentionally. I also bought her a cute present on her birthday and wrote some nice things about her on FB. I think the reason I did this is because I do LIKE her personality - she also has an Aries Mars and I thought we could be friends - so I didn't want to let her insecurities ruin a possible friendship. I'm kind of happy that this worked and that she acting normal now (because she was VERY VERY bit*chy beforehand).. Maybe I've helped her change in a positive sense. IP: Logged |

I looked and no wonder she reminds me of my friend who had the hair compliment! She has Moon in Capricorn, mercury in Scorpio, Venus in Virgo and Mars in Libra. Virgo, Scorpio, and Libra as a combination are super easy for me to read.IP: Logged |

Self confidence is an attractive quality. Aries just can't help it. Remember Libra is a mental (air) sign so they read things into it.It's nothing to worry about keep smiling IP: Logged |

Also I had always thought I was on good terms with the jealous Libra, although we never spoke much after left that job. However, I was on good terms with a lot of people there which may have caused me to overlook obvious signs of dislikes.IP: Logged |

Odette, this sounds just like me, when I'm in better spirits! I treat people kindly, even when they're being utterly b*tchy to me, and in the past, I made friends that way. I'm more rough around the edges now, but that part of me still exists. IP: Logged |

generally speaking, people no matter what is their sign tend to be threatened by anyone with high-self esteem. Aries, even the shy ones, project and exude a massive confidence and high - self esteem ... It comes naturally , not forced. So maybe that's why ... IP: Logged |

You're right. And apparently I do but I'm usually wondering if everyone can tell how uncomfortable in my skin I am. I also notice Virgos (I mention them because this jealous Libra girl has Venus in Virgo) are not very confident people, which is a shame because they're usually really smart in a specific area and I personally feel like that's a reason enough to be confident. Confidence is Mars' domain - Sun can be bit if a facade actually. You know how Leos can be all in glitters, but underneath there's not much, but Aries is always at their optimum ? - Mars' energy is very innocent and primal and one can argue it stays unspoilt, but Sun is about essential progress, you grow into person you want to be,into the mode which develops your existence, ego forming, etc. (Been musings on Sun/Mars lately)You have Gemini Mars, right? It seems to me that a Libra would sooner react to fellow (impressive, effortless power of social interaction) Air opponent. On related note,Aries/Libra are attracted to each other. IP: Logged |

Sure do, so your saying my Gemini Mars rubs her the wrong way? She is a Libra sun w. Mars in Libra as well. Before this incident we were work friends and got along. Also, bomb (good) explanation about the Sun! It makes for a nice frame when I'm explaining the ASC and Sun differences to my friends who don't know much about Astrology.

I go by the description you gave us - and envy, being threatened etc is always about the things that matter the most. And I can't stress enough how much Libras value interaction and what I call charmsnaking* I think you two would clash over common ground (being territorial) not so much the grass is green type of situation <-- Air people just don't dwell on this.
Even in my culture, that's very passionate and demonstrative,an Aries can be too much, but it is also said that when they don't like Aries people is matter of a personal preference, and that thru actually love Aries energy. More power to them... A sign that holds both Mars' domicile and Sun's exaltation is very powerful. And no one likes to be in lower position. *snakecharming makes more (grammatical) sense,I know
