I have mars in Virgo. I am also Sun and Mercury Virgo. I am very critical of myself but I have to admit I am picky about household things with my husband. But Personally, I don't have a mean bone in my body. Moody, yes...mean nope. And I am always seeing the things I've done wrong and enjoy it at times when I am not right. It means I can learn more about life and myself! I'm wrong a lot about things! Lol.

Ego is what makes someone feel they have to be right all the time. That and I agree with you insecurity. Maybe some aspects to Neptune??? Or for the aggressiveness Mars in hard aspect to Saturn? Or a planet in Aries... So there is that Mars Mars thing happening?

So I wonder what aspects the people you are dealing with have with that mars.????

I have mercury conjunct mars in the 9th and I'm a counselor at a community college so I work and have my outlet there (Virgo mars) and I communicate (mars+mercury+9th) all day long in higher Ed.

I can however talk your ear off if in an argument. But I'm not mean.

I also have mars opposed to jupiter and Mars trine saturn. I am passionate, desire freedom, and I give my soul to my work and to whatever I put my energy into. I stay the course in the work I do. And I am willing to work hard.

Why am I picky though??? No clue. I hate it. I stop myself more and more and remember to stay focused on the important things. Try to see the big picture. My Aquarius moon helps a lot with this!

And I find flaws in my body, my looks, the way I talk, the work I do, how I am as a mother, wife, friend all the times. Blah. It's tiring! Darn Virgo energy. Lol. But for me, it's mostly self directed.

Superior complex? No - it's service to the notion that we all must try to be our best
In position to draw attention to downfalls? Yes,it just depends white is mean-spirited or not.
Perfect? They strive for perfect,sure... Gives them right? Yeah,sort of.
