So what determines the perfect partner for each one of us both mentally, sexually, and emotionally?Should we look more towards our sun and moon signs combined or our venus and mars combined, or a combination of all three?! Also, how could I forget the ascendant! List your sun, moon, venus, and mars sign and explain who you think (with what placements) would be your preferred and ideal one! You should even list his/her physical characteristics as well! Let's make it fun! I have: Sun in Sagittarius Asc in Libra Moon in Virgo Venus in Sagittarius Mars in Gemini I like libra men but haven't had any significant experiences with them at all, although I do know one and he always seems to ogle me which is nice. Only have had bad experiences with Virgo, Gemini, and Scorpio - no positives. Aquarius men are too freaky for me...in a bad way, in a weird way. My favorite is Capricorn and Sagittarius...probably because of my earthy moon and fire venus! alright enough let's go IP: Logged |

You know, I've seen alot of men date/marry by their Moon sign and women by their ASC/DSC, but I think it is indeed a cocktail of Moon, Venus and Mars. You need to consider your dominant elements and aspects in your natal. A person with a lot of squares will throw off a person who is loaded with trines or conjunctions. Check the ruling planet of your 7th house or 5th house and see if it receives good aspects from the other person's chart. And then a lot of people combine asteroids like Eros, Psyche, Amor, Aphrodite, etc. Looking at the composite chart helps. Synastry and Composites are so fun to study, but so complicated. Anyway, that is so funny you find Aquas freaky. Most Sagittarians I've met meet their close ideal love match in an Aquarius. Cap and Sag are good choices, might I recommend Aries too? A lot of Sagittarians, usually women end up with Cancers, but that combo confuses the eff out of me. But every Cancer man I've met LOVE fiery, aggressive, and attractive women so maybe there is something to it. My placements Leo sun 8th house Aries moon 5th Leo mercury 9th Leo venus 8th Taurus mars 6th Sag rising I just want someone who can handle all my fiyah. I don't get along romantically with Aries sun men (unless they are cuspers), Cancer men, also not fond of Libras and their mantrums. I recently had a forgettable experience with a Capricorn sun. He scared the pizz out of me. But I like Cap energy. Thanks to ail, I found that I may need to seek a guy with a well-aspected Mars in the natal. Mars is my 5th house ruler. He needs to be assertive but not lord himself over me in courtship. I'm not looking for a Chris Brown or a manchild. I feel like my Leo planets and Sag rising want a Tarzan type too. But my Taurus Mars also wants him to be restrained, not in a repressive way but disciplined and mature. Mercury ruled 7th doesn't necessarily like them young, but likes them witty and wisecracking. And unfortunately, a tad flaky. IP: Logged |

imo we are 'ruled' by one of the major four signs, and depending on which one that is, we will gravitate towards someone who fulfills that need. for men, it's often the moon sign that needs to be touched, likely because it's emotional and the only time men can be really emotional is with a partner. anyway, for me, i feel my moon (cappy) and mars (libra) are my dominant placements. i would really like a guy who has a driven/ambitious mars sign, and a scorpio or libra moon would make me very happy - they can give me the security and romance i need, and with a 8 planet stellium in libra i pretty much need a libra-heavy partner. i always end up with aqua men, they are a very good match for me but lack that romance my libra heart desiresIP: Logged |

Ah! Thanks for replying to the thread. It was nice to get your perspective. Yeah....I do not seem to like cancers, I was supposed to go to London to meet this Cancer guy (through my family, it was an arranged sort of thing) but I did not end up going only because after I looked at his natal chart and all of that I thought he would not be able to handle me and my energies. I would have to be the leader in the relationship and the woman in charge when I really don't want that, I need a big strong man to protect me and love me...but not a boy. Also, I must add that he was a nearly 8 months younger than me which may not seem like a big deal but when I am already too mature for my young age, it put me off a lot knowing that he is younger. The other issue is that I have natal Saturn in Capricorn in the fourth house .... and Moon in Virgo in the 11th - its like HELLO, I cannot feel at home with just anyone.....IT IS SO DIFFICULT FOR ME TO FIND SOMEONE COMPATIBLE....and when that happens all hell breaks loose because to be quite honest it is not only about compatibility....what I mean is it is about my feelings and perceptions towards that person. ANOTHER THING TO MENTION: What is your juno position??? I have Juno in Sagittarius...supposedly I am supposed to meet my love by traveling with him or abroad, or have a foreign connection - I do not doubt this at all because I have been traveling my whole life. Scorpio men make me feel uncomfortable, they are just too sneaky....in a bad way, they are overly sensitive and vengeful too (I had an ex scorpio boyfriend and when I asked him if we could stay friends even though we broke up he said NO WAY...that hurt my feelings, we could have stayed friends easily! But apparently my sag sun and its temperament really did hurt him - I let myself say a couple of mean things) About the Aries you mentioned, I did used to like an Aries guy but he was unavailable and when he became available my attraction towards him passed and although then we were in reverse positions of attraction and he kept asking me for dates I just would not go out with him - something did not feel right! Aquarius guy - he wanted to be my boyfriend, but I honestly thought that he was secretly gay.....seriously. I was probably wrong too, he has a gf now. So the verdict: Yes to Sagittarius and Capricorn. No to Scorpio, Gemini, Virgo, and Cancer. Not sure about Leo or Taurus - zero experience. No to Pisces and Aquarius - not comfortable. Libra and Aries - iffy on these. IP: Logged |

That sounds interesting! So if a guy I like has moon in sagittarius and my venus in sagittarius this would make for a very happy aspect (edit: I should have noted that we have his moon conjunct my venus, and my sun and his sun and moon are in the same sign (sag) but not aspected although there is also my venus in sag conjunct his sun in sag - its gorgeous....difficult at times) IP: Logged |

imo that would be quite perfect; your sun/venus being in sag and his moon being in sag... would be quite a successful pairing b/c the way you express yourself and give love would make him feel warm and fuzzy :-) IP: Logged |

i agree. in my case, sun/venus has only worked when either his or my moon (or both) were aspecting the sun/venus aspect.

my ideal guy would be a fire/water mix with a hint of air (like mercury in air)... a water moon/venus (either scorpio or cancer) and fire sun/mars(leo or aries). i haven't really clicked with earth men yet.. and air is not exactly a problem, as long as its not an airy moon or venus. i like aggressive, fiery, and emotionally demonstrative men. except i dont like making out or being alllll over each other in PUBLIC (whioh makes no sense cause im into voyeurism -_-).. and he would need to have natal pluto aspects. preferably venus/pluto, or moon/pluto. just pluto energy for sure. him having a couple of squares in his chart would be great. i am all squares and conjunctions, but mostly nasty squares, and people who have mostly easy aspects tend to repulse me, and i to them. i've had AMAZING luck with scorpio moon men. even if its just a friendship, its AMAZING.ive got... ASC in pisces sun in libra in the 7th moon in leo in the 6th merc in libra in the 7th venus in scorp in the 8th also tightly conj my pluto scorp (8th as well) and mars in libra in the 7th my sun/merc/mars are tightly conjunct sqauring almost everything in my chart. Sun and Mercury. I've seen convincing statistics to point to those two being the most important in who we marry.Mars/Saturn has also been shown to be consistently found in the synastry of married couples. Mars/Venus wasn't. IP: Logged |

I agree on mars and venus being insignificant. IP: Logged |

Sun in Libra H10; Moon in Virgo H9; ASC in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Scorpio H11; Venus in Scorpio H11; Mars in Cancer H8. Since my Mars in Cancer opposes Uranus-Neptune I have a hard time with partners sometimes, especially since Mars is my 5th house ruler. Ideally, the perfect partner wouldn't express these repressed energies in a weird way - either my repressed Mars or the repressed Neptune, usually. Meaning, the ideal partner won't express my repressed Neptunian energies through being addicted/illusionary/distant, which has happened to me before. Other factors could include: 1. Loyalty, to some degree - so some Scorpio placement is usually a plus, and jives with my own Scorp influences 2. Concrete emotional balance, to balance my emotional explosions at times - so an Earth Moon, maybe a Cap Moon. 3. Intellectually stimulating - creative with words, witty, so ideally Gemini or Virgo influences, like a Gemini Mercury or ASC in Virgo. I could list forever. Honestly I could. But these are a few important ones. IP: Logged |

I would look at the natal moreso than synastry. If one person's chart is heavy on 7th/8th house and the other on 10th/11th, they will have different priorities and it's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.If one person is all squares and the other all conjunctions, one will make the other feel inherently ill-at-ease. The synastry can be perfect overall but with no Saturn it's unlikely to last, two ships that pass in the night. For me, I have an earth void and I've been seeking out that energy all my life; in fact, when I took a 'what sign are you really?' quiz on both blogthings and horoscope.com I got earth signs both times, lol. Also have to look at timing. My opinion - all women go through a Pisces phase and a Scorpionic phase where they chase after the musician and the enigma. They usually age out of it though. Finding the perfect partner and perfect synastry is an obsession of mine. I know there’s no such thing and everything is very subjective but so far I’ve never felt truly happy or fulfilled in any of my relationships. This is one of the main reasons I took an interest in astrology. Here are my placements:Gemini Ascendant Sun in Scorpio (6th House) Moon in Scorpio (6th House) Venus in Scorpio (6th House) Mars in Leo (4th House) My Mars squares everything (except the Ascendant of course)… If I find someone who will create the much acclaimed Sun-Moon conjunction, either way Mars will cause trouble. My most vital need and desire is to share an intense emotional connection with someone. I want to be able to go so deep inside their head that I’ll see their soul and vice versa. I want to see them as they are and understand and nurture them on a spiritual level without fear, misunderstandings and feeling vulnerable. I need them to love me unconditionally and feel they understand me and accept me without any judgement or hatred. IP: Logged |
